Apocalypse Arrival: Little Zombie, I Just Hoard, Hoard, Hoard!
Apocalypse Arrival: Little Zombie, I Just Hoard, Hoard, Hoard! Chapter 32: Little Zombie Clinginess

“Brother Bai, how do you know everything so quickly?”

Chen Xiaofei was in awe.

Wang Weihua, who had gotten into the vehicle, also agreed, “Really, Xiao Bai knows everything.”

Bai Shu returned to the driver’s seat and, hearing this, pushed up his glasses. “Because I love to learn, and learning loves me. One of us has to keep track of the information.”

The world is constantly changing. If you don’t keep an eye on the forums, it’s easy to fall behind.

Chen Xiaofei and Wang Weihua couldn’t help but chuckle awkwardly. They were the type to only care about things they liked, and studying wasn’t one of them.

Bai Shu had definitely been paying attention much more than them.

Several hours later.

When Xu Duo opened her eyes, she saw two figures swaying in front of her, and everything looked blurry, like there was a red veil in front of her eyes.

She rubbed her eyes and finally realized that the people in front of her were actually Liu Chunhui and her daughter???

The little zombie was dazed.

It took a few minutes for her to reboot her brain, and she slowly began to remember something.

Was this a dream?

Hadn’t she already separated from them? The survivors had gone ahead, and their team had stayed behind, after which they fought a brutal battle and everyone got injured…

Injured!

The little zombie suddenly remembered!

Panicked, she started looking for someone, only to find herself in an old warehouse, vast and empty, with several other survivors resting around her.

She scanned the area and locked her gaze on their backs.

Qin Luo had already woken up and was standing straight. Wang Weihua, Chen Xiaofei, and Bai Shu were around him, speaking about something.

If it weren’t for his still bloodied and dirt-stained battle-worn clothes, and the bandaged hand hanging limply at his side, the little zombie almost would have thought she was still dreaming.

It took her some time to piece things together. They must have caught up with the survivors, as it had only been less than two hours.

She then realized that her head hurt and felt a little stiff, more so than before.

She frowned, feeling wooden.

Meanwhile, Liu Chunhui and her daughter were still discussing something with their backs turned to her.

“Mum, but sister’s all covered in blood. Shouldn’t we help her change clothes?”

“Baby, you’re right. Captain Qin and the other guys probably don’t have time to help her. How about we work together and help her clean up? She’ll feel better, right? But we don’t know if she has any injuries…”

Liu Chunhui was torn, wanting to help but afraid of hurting the little girl.

Her whole body was covered in dried blood, and it looked quite pitiful.

Xu Duo, upon hearing their conversation, almost jumped up. Though she had become a little zombie, she still cared about her dignity.

No way was she going to get undressed!

She immediately sprang up and stumbled over to Qin Luo, grabbing his arm tightly for safety.

The little girl was so scared that she froze. As she turned her head, she noticed someone darting out, but she couldn’t even say “sister” before she was already running toward Qin Luo and clinging to his arm, trying to hide behind him, still watching them warily.

Liu Chunhui and her daughter were taken aback for a moment.

They had guessed that the little girl must have overheard their conversation. It seemed the southern girl wasn’t used to such straightforwardness?

Chen Xiaofei, excited, called out, “Little squad leader? You’re awake?”

Bai Shu noticed that there was some blood in her eyes, but she didn’t seem to realize it. Any normal person probably wouldn’t be able to open their eyes, but she appeared calm.

This made him realize even more that the little squad leader really wasn’t human.

Bai Shu looked at her relying on Qin Luo and decided to ignore them. When he saw Chen Xiaofei and Wang Weihua trying to say something, he casually steered them away. “It’s fine with Qin Luo here. The three of us should handle other matters.”

He didn’t want to be a third wheel.

“Ah? Why? I still need to chat with the little squad leader!” Chen Xiaofei was dragged away by Bai Shu.

Wang Weihua opened his mouth, then noticed the little squad leader’s stiff face and how she was so dependent on Qin Luo. He also realized something wasn’t right with her state.

He followed Bai Shu out.

As for Qin Luo…

He was still talking to someone else. “Yeah, no problem here.”

When he noticed the little zombie approaching, he only glanced at her. She was tightly gripping his arm with her little paws but didn’t say anything.

“Okay, then the survivors can follow Captain Zhang back. If there are no other issues, we can disperse.”

Xu Duo turned her head to look at the other people. It turned out that it was another combat team. The leader of that team nodded in agreement and saluted Qin Luo. “Thanks for your hard work, Captain Qin. We’ll take over from here.”

Qin Luo nodded.

Xu Duo felt the other team leader had glanced at her collar, and she immediately felt uncomfortable, shifting closer to Qin Luo as if trying to hide behind him. Her whole body was almost glued to him.

Qin Luo casually scooped her up, holding her under his arm, taking her away in a very “manly” fashion. He truly treated her like a doll.

Xu Duo didn’t care and just hung limply in his arms.

Qin Luo still hadn’t cleaned up. He took her to the bathing area in the warehouse, which was meant for living quarters and had a row of showers.

He threw Xu Duo into one of the showers. “Take a bath and change clothes. I’ll be next door. If you need anything, blow the whistle. You can manage on your own, right?”

Qin Luo muttered whether Liu Chunhui should help her shower, but Xu Duo quickly shook her head. She didn’t want that!

“Heh, no wonder Liu Chunhui and her daughter were acting strange earlier. I bet they wanted to help you? But you scared them off and gave them a shock?”

Qin Luo had noticed this as soon as Xu Duo woke up and had seen the expressions on the mother and daughter’s faces.

His logic was sound. He immediately pieced everything together.

“Your little zombie face is quite shy?” He chuckled, teasing her. She looked pitiful in her battle-worn clothes, black hair, and pale face, all covered in dried blood. It really didn’t look pleasant.

He was upset for not being able to protect her, and she had ended up saving him.

Qin Luo noticed that the little girl seemed to have gotten even more sluggish, regressing to the state she was in when he first met her. Her reactions were slower than before.

He reached out and gently squeezed her neck, making her relax. “Alright, don’t think too much. You’re burning your brain out. Go wash up and rest.”

Qin Luo took a blue water storage bucket from his storage space. It was leftover, just enough to fit Xu Duo inside.

Looking at her tiny body standing in the blue bucket, he was quite pleased with his creation. “I’m a genius. Go ahead and wash up.”

He closed the door and went into the next shower, and soon the sound of water running could be heard. There was no electricity here, so they would have to take cold showers.
