Apocalypse Arrival: Little Zombie, I Just Hoard, Hoard, Hoard!
Apocalypse Arrival: Little Zombie, I Just Hoard, Hoard, Hoard! Chapter 36: Do You Like Me?

The guy who had been taking photos was brought back by Qin Luo and Wang Weihuo, who had their arms around his shoulders. It seemed like they used some method to scare him so badly that his legs turned weak, and he probably wouldn’t dare take any more photos or act sarcastic again.

When Qin Luo sat back down, the little zombie was chewing on an anomaly core, her cheeks puffed up like a hamster.

He reached over and poked her. “Tsk, just this, and you’re saying we’re too close?”

He muttered to himself.

The little zombie glanced at him with her bright, sparkling eyes, which made him feel awkward.

Bai Shu looked at Qin Luo speechlessly. “You’re always picking her up, whether it’s carrying her or hugging her. Sometimes you poke her, sometimes you pat her head. What do you think?”

Qin Luo suddenly felt a bit embarrassed. When he thought about it, it seemed true. He just couldn’t help teasing her. Whenever he saw her, it felt like he was back in the past.

He just liked teasing her.

But for the sake of his pride, he stubbornly said, “It’s just convenient, alright?”

Bai Shu casually responded, “Sure, sure.”

Chen Xiaofei chuckled.

Wang Weihuo cleared his throat and deliberately ignored them, turning over to sleep.

Qin Luo: …

Fine.

It’s too complicated to explain!!

The little zombie chewed the anomaly core for a long time, and only after finishing did she remember she was supposed to get them some food. But by the time she remembered, the four of them had already laid down.

She felt a bit lost for a second but then wrapped herself in a small blanket and lay down. She hoped to feel better soon, or else this delay in her brain was really annoying. The angry little zombie looked at Qin Luo’s neatly trimmed hair ends and his back…

She wriggled over like a caterpillar, snuggling up to the fragrant food reserve, hoping for a nice dream tonight.

As the sky lightened, the people in the warehouse began to wake up one by one.

The night watchmen went straight to the vehicles to catch up on sleep, while the others began packing up, preparing to leave.

Ignoring the occasional sounds of lone zombies being dealt with during the night, everyone had a good rest, which was rare in the post-apocalyptic world.

Chen Xiaofei stretched lazily and sighed in contentment. “Ah~~ I slept so well last night. Thanks to Captain Zhang and them for taking the night watch duty, we got to sleep so comfortably.”

Bai Shu also got up, squinting as he searched for his glasses.

When Chen Xiaofei opened his eyes, he immediately saw four familiar thermos cups neatly placed in front of him. He turned to look at the little zombie and said excitedly, “Wow, Captain, you’re already up?”

The little zombie’s eyes had regained their sparkle and were no longer dull like yesterday. She even gave him a cool nod and handed him a jar of spicy radish chunks to go with their porridge.

Chen Xiaofei was nearly moved to tears, holding the jar of spicy radishes and whimpering, “Woo, Captain, you’re my savior, truly. I’m going to live the good life again, eating spicy and delicious food. Woo.”

Bai Shu slapped Chen Xiaofei’s head, scolding, “What’s with the theatrics so early in the morning?”

He was generally easygoing, but he had morning grumpiness. As long as no one bothered him, he was fine. But when Chen Xiaofei started making noise, it really irritated him.

Chen Xiaofei immediately straightened up, holding the radish jar and said, “If you have the guts, don’t eat it later!”

Bai Shu finally saw what he was holding, his eyes flashed with interest. Calmly getting up, he said, “Oh, if you’re not eating it, fine.”

Then, in a flash, he grabbed the jar of spicy radishes from Chen Xiaofei. “I’m confiscating it!!” he said, then hid it in his storage space.

The four of them had space, but it wasn’t very large, and the headquarters could monitor what was inside—no private space.

Chen Xiaofei was shocked by Bai Shu’s shameless method and stayed on his bed, stunned.

Bai Shu had already run off to the bathroom.

Wang Weihuo sighed helplessly. “Alright, stop fooling around. Eat, then get moving.”

He also rolled out of bed.

As expected of the father figure, while the others ran out of bed, Wang Weihuo first started packing up the blankets.

He folded them neatly into square blocks and stored them in the storage card.

The little zombie, who had been watching the scene, found it amusing. Seeing how pitiful Chen Xiaofei looked, she gave him another jar of canned fish.

Chen Xiaofei came back to life! “I’m good now! I’m going to wash up!”

Wang Weihuo, seeing the tiny little zombie squatting to the side, greeted her politely. “Good morning, Captain. You feeling better today?”

She had saved their lives, so they were now bonded by life and death.

Even though she had been out of it last night and had grown sharp teeth, her collar’s electronic screen had remained green.

How good of a person must she be to still have no desire to hurt anyone, even when turned into a zombie?

Wang Weihuo didn’t know, nor had he ever seen such a zombie, but it didn’t stop him from admiring her.

The little zombie didn’t like others staring at her collar. As someone who firmly believed she was still human, she didn’t like being seen as a freak. So when Wang Weihuo greeted her and looked at her collar, she felt a bit uncomfortable. She just nodded absently.

She quickly turned and walked away, heading in another direction to squat by the breakfast she had prepared for them. Four thermos cups with hot porridge and a box of tea eggs, probably eight or nine eggs in total.

Qin Luo had gone out for a perimeter patrol early in the morning. He was the first to wake up, mostly because he couldn’t sleep. Last night, a certain little zombie had been grinding her teeth on him.

The little zombie had come over to him in her sleep, then switched positions halfway through the night. He didn’t know when she had snuck into his arms, but suddenly she bit his wrist, startling him awake. He almost broke her neck in reflex.

When he realized it was her, he froze for a long time, and then saw that she was just gnawing on his wrist, probably because her new teeth were uncomfortable. Her little face scrunched up in discomfort, making him feel quite bad.

He felt awkward inside. He hadn’t really slept the entire night, while the little zombie, in a sleepwalking manner, woke up just as he did and stared at him, with no embarrassment at all.

This made him blush and feel uneasy, so he went out for some fresh air. After killing a dozen stray zombies and mutated dogs, he still couldn’t figure out why she was sticking to him. Was it…

There could only be one explanation!

The little zombie liked him! It must be that!

When he thought about this, everything made sense.

Last night, she had been staring at his chest muscles while he was showering. Clearly, this handsome guy was catching her eye, and Qin Luo, feeling pleased with his reasoning, nodded to himself. Well, what could he do? He was just too good-looking!

Once he figured this out, he felt completely refreshed. When he came back and saw the little zombie guarding their breakfast, she looked cuter than ever.

Oh.

Who could not like her?

He leaned closer to her and squatted down beside her. When the little zombie turned and saw him, her eyes lit up. She immediately snuggled up to him.

She just had to be close to him.

Qin Luo was feeling smug, and then he turned to her and said, “Hey, do you like me?”

He was a little embarrassed saying this. After all, Qin Luo, at twenty-two, was just now beginning to feel his heart flutter.

The little zombie looked at Qin Luo, who smelled so good. She almost couldn’t stop drooling. She immediately nodded, seriously, confirming that she indeed liked him.

She wanted to eat.

Qin Luo’s whole face turned red, from the tips of his ears down to his neck.
