Apocalypse Prepper Gone Lazy Chapter 107

Chapter 107: Killing in Public

“I don’t believe in this crap today. I’m gonna beat the hell out of you!”

As he spoke, the man swung his arm, his fist about to land.

Song Yi swiftly pulled Jiang Yuan behind him and met the incoming punch himself.
As the fist came directly at his face, he sidestepped, grabbed the man’s shoulder from behind, and—crack—a loud sound was heard.

What followed was a pig-like scream. He had dislocated the man’s arm in one smooth motion.

Then, using a reverse force, he spun the man around—face-first to the ground.

“You okay?” Jiang Yuan rushed forward with concern.

“I’m fine. Good thing I wore gloves,” Song Yi replied.

Uh… talk about misplaced priorities.

The man struggled a bit, but with his arm dislocated, he couldn’t get up right away.
He barely flipped himself over, clutching his right arm, eyes glaring with fury.

Jiang Yuan knew things couldn’t end peacefully now.
The man clearly had murderous intent—leaving him alive would be a huge risk.

Even Sun Yian had shrunk back in fear—he was scared too.

“If talking doesn’t work, then let’s stop talking,” Jiang Yuan said coldly.

Since she was the one who started this, she would be the one to end it.

She drew her Tang sword—cold steel glinting in the light…

The man across from her was still arrogantly mocking her. Clearly, he didn’t take her seriously.

“If you’ve got guts, slash me here! Come on, do it!” he yelled, pointing at his own forehead.

Well, too bad. He practically begged for it.

“Waving that cheap blade around, trying to scare people. You don’t even know how to use it—”

Before he could finish, his eyes went wide in disbelief.

He looked down to see the blade pierced right into his chest.

Jiang Yuan quickly withdrew the sword. Not a single drop of blood splashed out.

A good blade really makes the difference.

“Sorry, I’m just rebellious like that. You asked for a beheading, so I stabbed your chest instead.”

In truth, she had stabbed him straight in the heart—a clean, lethal strike.

“You… you…”

The man weakly pointed at her, unable to finish a sentence.

Then he collapsed, face-first again.

His girlfriend screamed, ran over, and held him in disbelief.

“No! No way! You can’t die like this! Murder! She killed him!”

Sun Yian and the others were stunned. Jiang Yuan clearly didn’t care at all—she just killed someone right in front of everyone. Unbelievable.

But he didn’t dare say anything either. If she lost control, he could end up as the next corpse.

The old lady’s son and daughter-in-law were dumbfounded too. They didn’t even dare breathe loudly, terrified of being next.

“Why aren’t you cleaning up yet?!” Zhang Kaiyang shouted.

That seemed to finally snap the group back to reality.

“Yes, yes, right away, cleaning up now…”

They scrambled like crazy, their eagerness off the charts.

They weren’t afraid of filth or hard work anymore—their hands were shaking as they worked.

Jiang Yuan coldly watched the family, silently thinking about how to handle them.

No one around dared speak. Even the spectators had long fled back to their homes.

Too terrifying. The woman from 2102 was a full-on demon—absolutely not to be messed with.

Cleaning up the filth on the ground was manageable, but the paint stains on the walls were impossible to scrub.

In the end, they had to scrape off an entire layer of wall paint—dust flying everywhere.

But finally, the place was clean.

“Big sis, big bro, does this look okay?” the old lady’s son asked nervously, scared to death of offending these two killers.

Earlier, they were even forced to throw Gangzi’s body down the stairs themselves.

“What do you think?” Song Yi asked Jiang Yuan.

“It’s fine now,” she said.

Though it was clean, the wall was now pitted and ugly.

Hearing her approval, the group let out a huge sigh of relief.

“I won’t pursue today’s matter anymore, but if there’s any more trouble from your side in the future, I’ll hold you all responsible. Got it?”

“Yes, yes, of course! If there’s nothing else, we’ll go now, we’ll be leaving…”

The man bowed repeatedly and backed away, almost tripping over himself as he fled down the stairs.

“Mingyuan, is it really okay to let them go? Won’t they cause problems later?” someone asked.

“Let’s talk upstairs,” Song Yi interrupted.

This wasn’t a safe place to talk—who knew how many eyes and ears were watching?

They all went upstairs. Jiang Xingzhi returned to 2101, while the other four went to 2102.

Song Yi went to change his clothes—he had already discarded his gloves.

When he came out, Jiang Yuan looked a little awkward.

“Song Yi, can I wash that shirt for you?”

“No need, it’s fine,” he replied.

She felt a bit embarrassed, but since he declined, she didn’t press it.

There were plenty of men’s winter clothes at home—she could pick out a few for him next time.

“Yuan-jie, you really should think about what I said earlier,” Zhang Kaiyang reminded her. He felt things weren’t over yet—those people could come back for revenge.

“Yeah, it’s not the thief you fear—it’s the thief who keeps thinking about stealing. Leaving such a threat around is dangerous.”

“Mhm.” Jiang Yuan nodded. She fully agreed.

“The people from 1501 still need to be watched. But now that Gangzi’s dead, the old lady’s son and daughter-in-law are probably happy.”

Her words reminded everyone of what they had learned before.

“Yeah, but the old lady dotes on her daughter. Will she come back for revenge?”

“She won’t,” Song Yi said firmly, leaving no room for doubt.

“The conflict was about the family property. The dead guy was just her daughter’s boyfriend—not even her husband. She won’t ruin things with her son and daughter-in-law over that.”

Jiang Yuan followed up with analysis:
“Song Yi’s right. With the daughter and grandson in the picture, the son’s inheritance rights are threatened. The old lady clearly favors boys over girls—she might’ve really given 1501 to her grandson.”

“But now that Gangzi’s gone, things work out better for the son and daughter-in-law.
If the old lady insists on siding with her daughter, she’ll lose everything too.”

“The only one who might hate us enough to retaliate is her daughter.”

But based on her daughter’s character, it didn’t seem like she could do much damage.

“She’s all bark, no bite. That woman’s not worth worrying about.”

“Still, we should stay alert. Yuan-jie, cornered dogs can still bite.”

“Mianmian’s right. Today’s incident really disrupted all our plans.

Thank you, all of you, for helping me.”

Her gratitude was sincere, but Zhang Kaiyang and Ye Mianmian just waved it off casually.

“By the way, since we’ve got nothing to do tonight, why don’t we have hot pot at my place?

I’ve still got some cured meat and ham—I’ll cook for everyone. We could all use a bit of comfort…”
