The frantic vibrations of his star-brain jolted Eugene back to reality.
It was from Little Green Book.
Pausing his cold sneer, Eugene logged in, determined to see if anyone out there truly understood him.
— Wow, OP is such a content creator, the writing is amazing! Love it, waiting for more updates!
— What “fellow Alphas”? You’re just making stuff up, huh? I bet you’re one of them!
— So the author is one of them? Then are they J or S?
— This is just for clout. Let’s dip, guys.
— Ahhh, guys, I’m an O, but I totally ship this!
— Same! It’s delicious! And if it’s true, so what? I’m shipping it anyway!
— I get it. Even if it’s fake, so what? Shipping won’t make it real anyway.
— Where’s the OP? Keep telling us about this supposed rivals-to-lovers story. Just curious how it plays out.
Eugene, staring at the comments: ?
What were they even talking about?
What was all this shipping nonsense? His straight-A-brain was completely blank. He even came across an especially bizarre comment:
— Selling rivals?
— I’ll take one.
The chaotic responses on the star-net left Eugene utterly dumbfounded, but it didn’t stop his excitement.
Finally. Finally, someone understood him.
The people of the star-net were truly enlightened—albeit in an oddly unexpected way.
“Both of them are Alphas, why are they talking about it so ambiguously?” Eugene muttered in disgust.
Still, since he had finally found people who grasped his meaning—saving him from the bitter loneliness of being the only one who saw the truth—he graciously enlightened them:
— These are two Alphas. Don’t overthink it.
— Overthink? No, YOU’RE underthinking! Let me ask you: S hates Alphas, but isn’t he only close to J?
Of course!
His initial suspicions had started from that very detail! Eugene narrowed his eyes and typed rapidly:
— That’s right!
— Then that proves it!
The passionate netizen bombarded him with more questions:
— Is S always near J?
— Has S ever admitted to hating J?
All correct!
— Lastly, if he hates Alphas, why is he living with J?
Eugene had heard it was due to limited resource allocation, forcing Ji Laili and Shen Yu to share a room. But thinking about it more carefully…
Even if they were secretly involved, there’s no way Shen Yu would agree to this arrangement.
Wasn’t Aiger known for fiercely protecting his own? There was no way he’d let Shen Yu step into such a trap.
That meant—there was only one explanation!
Shen Yu must have requested it himself!
Eugene’s eyes burned with excitement, his gaze flickering with the thrill of getting closer to the truth…!
Ding ding! His star-brain vibrated again. Eugene, breathing heavily in anticipation, checked the new message.
— Exactly! Stop doubting, they’re totally involved!
— But, you know, it’s just the “third leg” involved~
The third leg…?
That means—?!
Eugene froze.
At that moment, his straight-A worldview suffered an unprecedented collapse.
“Eugene?”
The once arrogant and cocky Alpha—who used to look down on others as if the entire world was beneath him, whose mere expression made people want to punch him square in the nose—slowly turned around.
His face was blank, his eyes empty, standing like a soulless ghost that had just suffered irreparable damage.
The Alpha who had called out to him flinched at first, then quickly burst into laughter.
“Eugene, it’s been a few days. Looks like you’re not doing so well.”
The surrounding Alphas all sneered in disdain.
If any freshmen were watching, they might recognize these were the same Alphas who had once worked alongside Eugene as assistant instructors.
They had been isolating Eugene for a while now.
And finally, they were seeing the results.
An Alpha smirked, clearly enjoying himself. “Eugene, do you feel my hatred now?”
“I told you, if you refuse my goodwill, then you’ll have to suffer my hate!”
“Judging by your state, you couldn’t even endure my hatred for long. Are you already breaking down?”
Smirking with arrogance, the Alpha declared, “Apologize, Eugene, and maybe I’ll consider letting you off the hook.”
Eugene casually picked at his ear, clearly fed up, before casting a sideways glance at the loudmouth Alpha. With an impatient tone, he asked,
“You done?”
Then, with a deadpan expression, he continued, “Your pheromones smell like a mutated mosquito’s corpse. Do you want me to swat you?”
His sharp-tongued insult instantly wiped away any sense of triumph from the Alpha’s face, darkening his expression.
The Alpha sneered coldly, “Eugene, do you want to be isolated again?”
Eugene looked at them as if they were the biggest joke he had ever seen.
“You lot?”
With a smug grin, he scoffed, “You think you can isolate me? Let me tell you something, you pack of idiots—I was the one isolating you!”
The Alphas who had been leading the charge against Eugene: ??? [1]Hahahahaha I like where this is going for Eugene hahaha
“You’re not even worthy to stand beside me. But I suppose that’s understandable.”
Eugene thought about the secret he had uncovered and couldn’t help but reveal the proud expression of someone suffering from the loneliness of being invincible.
“The entire Federation Military Academy has no idea what they’ve missed!”
“But it makes sense—after all, not everyone is Eugene.”
With a smug smile, Eugene completely ignored the awkwardly silent Alphas before him. Holding his head high, he pushed aside the one blocking his way and strode off in triumph.
“…”
The remaining Alphas exchanged looks.
“He seems… pretty shaken.”
“We’re all from the same academy. Maybe we should cut him some slack and bring him back into the fold?”
“I suppose we could.”
Meanwhile, Eugene was convinced he had uncovered the ultimate truth—that Shen Yu and Ji Laili’s ‘third leg’ connection was real!
Unfortunately, when he posted about it on the academy forum, not a single Alpha believed him.
“These A’s are beyond saving.”
Logging back into his account, Eugene—radiating superiority—flamed every Alpha who dared to argue with him. Full of confidence, he sneered:
“Just you wait, Shen Yu, Ji Laili.”
“Your secret has already been exposed!”
“The day the truth comes to light is near! The harder you try to hide it, the more determined I, Eugene, am to destroy it all!“
And so, with a cold laugh, Eugene opened the biggest learning platform on the starnet. His once-powerful Alpha posture curled like a shrimp as he hunched over, eyes glued to the glowing blue screen.
—Beginning from zero: Learning video editing.
That very afternoon, on the Federation’s top military academy forum, a new ID, “User 777,” went online and uploaded a video.
Among countless serious content—combat analysis, strategic behavior breakdowns, discussions on mutant beast species, and “Three Shooting Tips I Won’t Tell Just Anyone”—this video broke through the ranks.
Alphas scrolling through the forum for educational videos were completely blindsided.
Because—what the hell?!
It was a Shen Yu x Ji Laili ship video!!!
The forum fell into an unprecedented silence.
For a long time, no one spoke.
Then finally, someone posted:
— WTF?! Who the hell did this?! This has got to be the most disgusting thing ever for Ji Laili and Shen Yu!!
Eugene, having hidden his achievements and name, smirked like a villain basking in his own success.
Shen Yu, Ji Laili…
You’re shaking in fear now, aren’t you?
