Ji Laili thought so.
But unfortunately, it seemed Shen Yu had been scared stiff—he just stayed there, unmoving.
Hesitating, Ji Laili asked, “Not going to kiss me anymore?”
His lips barely moved, and with them pressed together, even the tiniest sensation was amplified.
The moment he spoke, he paused—feeling as if just opening his mouth had deepened the kiss between them.
“Laili…”
“Hmm?”
He looked up, catching the faint trembling of Shen Yu’s lashes—a sign of nervousness.
“I didn’t do this on purpose…”
The more Shen Yu spoke, the more his eyelashes trembled.
Before Ji Laili could respond, Shen Yu quickly added:
“Your blanket was slipping off. I came to tuck you in, but accidentally…”
Accidentally what?
Accidentally tripped, fell onto the Alpha, just so happened to kiss him. Then remembered it, and tripped again, so had to kiss him once more?
Shen Yu suddenly couldn’t bring himself to finish the sentence.
Giving up on explaining, he slightly pulled away, his cold and beautiful features carrying a faint look of resignation.
“…When did you notice?”
Ji Laili hummed thoughtfully. “Hmm… about a minute ago.”
Just recalling that kiss made his ears heat up.
His crescent-moon eyes darted left and right, looking everywhere except at Shen Yu.
Damn it!
He had already guessed that his lips might have been kissed.
He had even mentally prepared himself for it.
So why did he still freeze up?!
Counterattack! Counterattack!
Ji Laili took a deep breath, bracing himself.
His hands slid to Shen Yu’s waist—the moment he grabbed hold, he felt the faint shudder under his palms.
Without hesitation, he flipped them over—pinning Shen Yu beneath him.
Throughout the entire process, Shen Yu didn’t resist at all.
If anything, his limbs felt weak, and his usual cold, unreadable expression was now tinged with helplessness.
…Interesting.
Ji Laili had been nervous at first, acting on pure impulse.
But then, he found out that this seemingly cold and intimidating little butterfly was actually more nervous than him.
Even more helpless than him.
Ji Laili could hear his heartbeat—or maybe it was both of their heartbeats—thudding together in different rhythms, oddly mixing into one.
A rapid, pounding rhythm—loud enough to wake three hundred sleeping puppies.
And just like that, his own nervousness disappeared.
With a smile, he naturally rubbed his cheek against Shen Yu’s.
“Senior Shen is being bad.”
“Bad behavior needs to be punished.”
Shen Yu turned his head slightly, his gaze landing on a mess of soft, fluffy curls.
His lips brushed against those fluffy locks, his usual cold expression suddenly tinged with a hint of daze.
This position…
He tried moving his wrists.
He hadn’t even started actually resisting when Ji Laili’s long, powerful fingers reflexively pressed down on him.
Restrained his hands. Pinned his arms.
A swift, precise, and utterly merciless hold.
…Too standard.
Shen Yu blinked in surprise.
Just as he was about to say something, Ji Laili suddenly pulled away from his neck, looking at him with an expression of deep regret.
“Damn it.”
“My body still isn’t used to you.”
It had instinctively treated him like a criminal.
Ji Laili loosened his grip slightly, trying to look serious.
But the laughter in his eyes completely betrayed him.
“Since you’ve been caught, Senior Shen, you should surrender.”
“Anything else you’d like to confess?”
He leaned down, determined to get justice for his poor lips that had been aching for days.
How could he just steal kisses like that?
Stealing kisses was wrong!
In Officer Ji’s mind, anything that involved the word “steal” had to be strictly dealt with.
With seriousness.
With severe punishment.
His gaze toward Shen Yu was like that of someone looking at a delinquent teenager.
Meanwhile, Shen Yu’s mind was starting to clear.
His black eyes, hazy with emotion, clung onto Ji Laili’s face.
“…What happens if I lie?”
“You’ll be punished!”
Ji Laili responded righteously, full of conviction.
And then, in the next second, he completely broke character.
“How do you plan to punish me?”
A damp touch pressed against his palm.
Ji Laili froze.
His head snapped toward Shen Yu.
The darkness hid most things, but the flash of red stood out vividly.
Those usually restrained, cool eyes were half-lidded, their depths carrying an intoxicating mist.
His pale skin, touched by the night’s shadows, was like a dusted pearl.
And in its soft, hidden center—
A delicate, wet tongue curled slightly.
A breathy whisper spilled out, barely audible.
“…It tastes like wine.”
He tasted a faint hint of wine—too fleeting, too intoxicating.
It almost felt like an illusion.
But then again… maybe it wasn’t.
Shen Yu spoke in a low voice, confessing the “crimes” he hadn’t yet admitted.
“I took good care of your clothes.”
“I smelled them many times… but I still couldn’t catch your scent. Now, there’s no trace of it left.”
“Your water cup too. Why do you kiss it for so long, but not me?”
“Even your toothbrush—the little tip is so cute. So, Laili bites it, huh? Bites it so hard… will you do the same to me?”
His voice was hoarse, his tone slow and deliberate—seemingly calm, yet laced with undeniable desire.
The once-righteous Officer Ji completely fell apart.
His face flushed instantly, burning red all the way to his neck.
Ji Laili’s gaze darted around nervously.
So it was Shen Yu all along—his clothes, his cup, his toothbrush…
He had thought it was someone from the Empire…
“Next time… next time you can’t do that.”
Ji Laili cleared his throat.
His righteous momentum—fighting for justice on behalf of his poor lips—shrank under Shen Yu’s intense gaze.
“You can’t steal my clothes or my cup.”
Shen Yu quietly stared at him.
“…My toothbrush too.”
Shen Yu imitated his earlier gesture, gently rubbing his cheek against Ji Laili’s.
For someone who looked so cold and sharp, his touch was surprisingly soft.
Damn it.
If his system could broadcast his willpower, Ji Laili was sure he would hear -1 -1 -1 -1 as it rapidly drained.
But his willpower had never been that strong to begin with…
Ji Laili, feeling helpless, grabbed a handful of Shen Yu’s soft curls.
Then, after a moment of determination, he lowered his head—
And proactively pecked Shen Yu’s lips.
“Mwah~”
Seeing Shen Yu freeze in shock, Ji Laili’s lips curled into a sly smile.
“Mwah, mwah, mwah~”
He pressed several tiny kisses against Shen Yu’s lips, stamping them like little seals.
With his eyes curved into a crescent, he grinned,
“Alright~ Next time, just ask for a kiss openly!”
“As for my clothes, my cup, and my toothbrush—if you want them, I can give them to you.”
“As long as you want, they’re all yours.”
Shen Yu murmured, repeating his words as if savoring them.
“They’re all mine?”
His greed pushed him one step further.
“Then… what about you?”
“Will you be mine too?”
Ji Laili smiled.
Then his lips stung—he hissed, pursing them slightly, reminded of how much they’d suffered lately.
Still, he finished his sentence firmly.
“Of course.”
“I’m yours too.”
“And Shen Yu… will also belong to Ji Laili.”
With that, Ji Laili nodded in satisfaction, his eyes crinkling with joy.
Shen Yu chuckled. His deep black eyes glowed with undisguised happiness.
“Then… can I get one more kiss?”
Ji Laili: !
Another one?!
He blinked rapidly.
Shen Yu tilted his head up, obediently waiting for a kiss.
…Alright then.
Just one more.
