Chapter 14
“Lu Anning is still sleeping?”
Lu’s father and mother, who were sleeping in the outer room, got up before six o’clock. They thought Sui Jingxing would come out early, but after they finished breakfast, they didn’t see him come out.
“Well, she should probably get some more sleep.”
She probably doesn’t dare to come out right now, and will probably continue pretending in bed.
Thinking of her behavior just now, Sui Jingxing still found it a little funny.
I really didn’t expect that his wife would have such a personality when she was asleep or awake. It was quite cute and completely different from her during the day.
“Go wash up quickly. I warmed the rice on the stove. It’s still hot.”
“Okay, I’ll be there right away.”
Lu Anning, who had already woken up in the room, rolled around on the bed like crazy after Sui Jingxing left.
She is so unreserved when she is asleep!
How could she treat him as a sleeping doll and hold him for a whole night!
Fortunately, Sui Jingxing didn’t know that she had woken up, otherwise it would have been really embarrassing.
She became even crazier when she thought that they would have to continue sleeping in the same bed for several nights before Lu’s father and mother returned.
Woohoo, luckily he is a gentleman and did not do anything to a weak woman like her.
Sui Jingxing, who had already finished washing up outside the room, had no idea that she had so many inner thoughts.
He was eating by himself, holding a bowl of porridge in his left hand and a bun in his right hand.
“Didn’t you get enough rest last night?”
Mother Lu noticed that there were dark circles under his eyes, and he obviously looked sleep deprived.
“There seemed to be mosquitoes in the room at night, and I was woken up twice by being bitten.”
Instead of telling the truth, he made up a reason.
If his mother-in-law knew why he didn’t sleep well, Lu Anning would definitely feel even more uncomfortable when he woke up later.
“Do you have mosquito coils at home? Light them up for a while before going to bed at night.”
“Yes, I bought it before and ordered it tonight.”
“Jingxing, where is the Chinese medicine clinic here? We want to take Lu Anning there to have a look today.”
“We have to go to the city. Wait for Lu Anning to wake up. I’ll go borrow a car.”
Lu Anning stayed in the room until half past eight before coming out.
She felt relieved when she met Sui Jingxing’s calm gaze. She liked interacting with such smart people.
“Lu Anning, did you sleep well last night?”
“Jingxing said there were mosquitoes in your room. He woke up twice. You have always been attracted to mosquitoes since you were a child. Have you been bitten?”
She shook her head.
“That’s good. Maybe Jingxing is more attractive than you, and he is the only one who is bitten.”
Facing Lu’s mother’s serious questioning, Sui Jingxing coughed lightly, said that he would go to the army to borrow a car, and quickly left the house.
After Lu Anning finished breakfast, they got into the car and headed for the city.
“Lu Anning, is there anything you want to buy? Mom brought a lot of tickets this time. We can go shopping in the department store.”
At this moment, she had no idea about anything other than cinnabar.
“Let’s go shopping later. I’ll buy Lu Anning a bicycle and a fan.”
“Buy a fan?”
“Well, she sometimes sweats when she sleeps at night.”
Lu Anning was confused for a few seconds, then understood why he wanted to buy a fan.
It’s obviously him who is hot!
This big pig actually used her as an excuse to lie to his mother-in-law!
Forget it, don’t bother with him. After all, she is also in the wrong.
As long as the two of them slept in the same bed, she couldn’t guarantee that she would continue to hold him while sleeping. This was not what she was thinking in her heart, it was just an unconscious behavior after falling asleep.
I must see if the department store sells dolls later and buy one to hold while sleeping. That way I won’t hold him anymore.
After nearly two hours’ drive, they arrived at the first stop of their trip, the Chinese Medicine Hospital.
“You guys sit in the car for a while, I’ll go down and ask about the situation.”
Sui Jingxing got out of the car and walked straight in.
He was wearing a green military uniform, and given his height, he stood out in the crowd.
He didn’t even have to ask for help, as hospital staff came over and asked him if he needed help.
He stated his demands and waited for a few minutes, and the other party wanted to take him to see a doctor.
“Wait a moment, I’ll go get my lover, she’s seeing the doctor.”
He trotted from the hospital lobby to the car.
“You can get off now. The doctor is free now.”
The staff led them into an office and said to a doctor who was about 40 years old, “Doctor Fan, someone needs a doctor.”
“Who is the patient? Please sit opposite me.”
“One patient and one family member each. Others please wait patiently outside the clinic.”
Lu’s mother accompanied Lu Anning into the clinic.
“Hello, doctor. My daughter has been feeling unwell lately. Could you please take a look at her?”
“Okay, please take a seat.”
Doctor Fan pointed to the seat opposite him, and then Lu Anning sat down obediently and placed his hand on the pulse diagnosis pad following Doctor Fan’s instructions.
Fan Zhengqing placed his hand on Lu Anning’s pulse, quietly feeling the changes in her pulse.
After about a minute, he raised his hand.
“Have you accidentally eaten any incompatible food in the short term?”
She nodded.
“Your stomach and intestines are a little disturbed. You may also have symptoms such as chest tightness, shortness of breath, dizziness and headache during this period. Fortunately, it is not too serious. I will prescribe some medicine for you to regulate your body.”
Lu Anning felt that this doctor was amazing. He was able to describe her recent symptoms almost exactly within just one minute.
When the doctor was prescribing medicine, she also wrote down her needs on a piece of paper and handed it to the doctor.
“You want me to prescribe you some cinnabar?”
“Um.”
“Your current symptoms can be improved by taking a few doses of medicine. There is no need to supplement with cinnabar.”
She had already found an excuse for this, and quickly wrote on the paper: “You misunderstood. I want to buy some cinnabar to make coloring material. I won’t eat it. One gram will do.”
“So that’s how it is.”
Since she didn’t need much and it wouldn’t be harmful even if she consumed it, Fan Zhengqing prescribed her one gram.
“Doctor, I would like to ask, can this cure the throat problem?”
In the past, they had taken Lu Anning to see an old Chinese doctor in Beijing, but the results were minimal.
“Do you know the specific problem?”
“Congenital vocal cord dysplasia.”
“I’m sorry, my skills are limited and I can’t treat you.”
“Nothing, thank you.”
“But if you have time this afternoon, I can help greet my teacher and ask him to diagnose your daughter.”
Fan Zhengqing didn’t want to get involved.
But he was very impressed by the beautiful handwriting of the little girl in front of him, who was obviously well educated.
He is about the same age as his daughter, it’s a pity that he can’t speak.
“Okay, there’s time! There’s time!”
After making an appointment with Dr. Fan for the afternoon consultation and getting the medicine, the group left the Chinese medicine hospital.
