Chapter 16
The thing Ning Jia hated doing most before was drying and blow-drying her hair after taking a shower. She had a lot of hair, so it took a long time to do this.
The same is true now.
When she heard that Li Yao wanted to help her dry her hair, she was naturally very happy to do so.
“Okay, thank you for your hard work!” Ning Jia immediately handed him the towel and turned around, leaving him with his back.
Li Yao wrapped her long black hair with a towel and wiped it patiently bit by bit.
It took a long time to finish rubbing the hair. Ning Jia was so sleepy that her head was nodding. Then she heard him whisper, “Okay, the hair is almost done. You can rest now.”
Ning Jia opened his eyes, said thank you, and fell asleep.
Seeing her fall asleep in an instant, Li Yao’s mouth corners raised unconsciously.
He went to the kitchen to fetch some water and washed up before returning to his room to sleep.
There was only one quilt on the kang. Ning Jia used half of it and left the other half for him.
He lifted the quilt and crawled in. Just as he turned off the light and prepared to go to sleep, he immediately felt Ning Jia turn over and crawl into his arms.
“It’s so warm.” Accompanied by a whisper in his sleep, Ning Jia’s body wrapped around him like a vine.
Li Yao’s heartbeat quickened, and his body seemed to be pierced by electricity. The blood in his body seemed to be ignited, boiling and flowing towards that place…
His hands trembled slightly and he unconsciously hugged her waist.
Her waist is very thin and her skin is as smooth as satin.
The hot air from her nose sprayed on his chest, making him feel tingling and his heart itchy.
Li Yao knew that he might suffer from insomnia again tonight.
Ning Jia had already fallen into a sweet sleep. In the dream, she was holding a hot water bottle, feeling warm and comfortable.
She didn’t know how long she slept. She woke up with a dry mouth and found herself sleeping curled up in Li Yao’s arms.
One of his legs was almost falling on the other person’s waist.
She felt as if something was poking her, and she subconsciously reached out to touch it.
When he touched that thing, he suddenly heard Li Yao let out a “hiss”.
Then, a deep and hoarse voice came: “Don’t move.”
“Oh.” Ning Jia was so scared that he quickly let go.
When she realized what it was, her face turned red and she was extremely embarrassed.
Fortunately, it was night and no one could see it.
At the same time as feeling embarrassed, for some unknown reason, a secret sense of pleasure rose in my heart.
She couldn’t sleep and was thinking about what she had just felt when suddenly a gurgling sound was heard in the yard, followed by a “puffing” sound.
“Li Yao, there seems to be someone in the yard.” She raised half of her body and pricked up her ears to listen.
“I’ll go take a look, you lie down.”
Li Yao put on a coat, got down from the kang, and walked to the window in the dark.
I saw a dark shadow staggering towards the old lady’s room.
Li Yao put on his pants and rushed out, shouting, “Who is it?”
The more he shouted, the faster the figure ran away.
The lights in every room were turned on, and Li Yao could see clearly that the person in the yard was actually the old lady.
“Mom, why are you not sleeping so late at night and making trouble in the yard?” Li Yao asked.
“It’s okay! Go to bed! I’m going to sleep too!” Old Mrs. Xu rushed into the door almost as if she was escaping, slammed the door shut, and locked it tightly.
“Who is it, Lao Liu?” Li Gang poked his head out of the window and asked.
“It’s okay, big brother, go back to sleep!” Li Yao said, then went back to the room and closed the door.
The next day, early in the morning, Old Mrs. Xu called Li Yao to go to the village doctor to buy medicine for her.
Ning Jia was woken up but couldn’t fall asleep, so he got up and went to the toilet behind the room to empty the urine pot.
The Li family’s toilet is right next to the neighbor Aunt Niu’s toilet.
The two people met at the toilet door.
Aunt Niu is a gossipy and loudmouthed woman. She often speaks ill of Old Lady Xu together with her.
When Ning Jia saw her, he wanted to hide, so as not to ruin his good mood early in the morning.
Unexpectedly, Aunt Niu actually stopped her and greeted her enthusiastically.
“Ning Jia, what delicious food did your family cook yesterday? It smelled so good that I could smell it in my yard!”
Ning Jia had a blank expression on his face: “I don’t know, I forgot.”
Aunt Niu chuckled: “I know even if you don’t tell me. Who can’t smell the meat? And fish, right? It’s not a festival, where did your family get the fish from?”
As soon as Ning Jia heard her, he knew that she was here to inquire about something.
She chuckled twice and calmly changed the focus of the question: “Who said that we can’t eat meat during festivals? Yesterday, I had a distinguished guest at home, so of course I had to do my best to entertain him!”
“What distinguished guest? Isn’t it Lin Zhiqing?”
“Yes! The old lady likes it very much! The dishes she made yesterday were more sumptuous than those we made during the Chinese New Year! They were so fragrant! Wow… They were so delicious!” Ning Jia looked exaggerated.
I just said it on purpose for Aunt Niu to hear, so that she, as a loud speaker, could spread it and let others hear how the old lady was biased.
“I thought so! Your mother-in-law kept running to the bathroom last night!”
Ning Jia suddenly realized what the old lady did last night. It turned out that she had diarrhea.
No wonder this morning she saw patches of yellow, thin soup in the yard, emitting a foul smell.
She thought it was Dahuang who had diarrhea, but it turned out to be her mother-in-law.
Ha ha!
“When encountering good food, who wouldn’t want to eat more? The old lady usually doesn’t want to eat, but yesterday she ate a lot and probably broke her stomach! She asked Li Yao to get medicine early this morning! It’s really pitiful. At such an old age, she actually…” Ning Jia deliberately paused here.
Aunt Niu’s curiosity was aroused, and she immediately asked, “What did you poop?”
Ning Jia immediately frowned: “It’s okay! Don’t ask about it later. Who hasn’t had embarrassing things?”
After saying that, she turned around, dumped the chamber pot into the toilet, and walked away with it.
“Please explain yourself clearly!” Aunt Niu felt uncomfortable because she didn’t hear all the gossip.
“Don’t ask! I don’t have time to tell you. I have to go wash pants for my mother-in-law!” Ning Jia rolled her eyes and left.
“Hey, this little girl…” Aunt Niu was about to scold her when she suddenly thought of something.
She thought about Ning Jia’s words one by one, and her eyes suddenly lit up.
“Ouch!” She slapped her head, and her whole body became excited. “This is big news!”
How could she be the only one who knew this?
then.
When Old Mrs. Xu was lying in bed, holding her stomach and crying out in pain, a piece of news with a smell spread throughout the village.
Everyone in the village knew that Old Lady Xu was reluctant to give good food to her daughters-in-law, so she saved the good things to treat Lin Zhiqing.
As a result!!! She also rushed to eat more, and she ate too much, which made her sick. She didn’t have time to go to the toilet in the middle of the night, and she pooped in her trouser pocket!
He threw the shit-stained trouser pocket to his daughter-in-law Ning Jia to wash!
When the daughters-in-law of the Li family heard the news, their faces became uglier than each other.
They feel ashamed that their old lady did such a shameful thing.
Yesterday’s meal was very depressing and today’s news was embarrassing.
Several people gathered together to complain about the mother-in-law.
Li Xuejiao: “We haven’t had a good meal all year, and we were able to have a good meal yesterday because of Lin Zhiqing’s blessing!”
Liang Lanlan: “Who says it’s not true? The old lady eats more than us, who else can we feed if not her?”
Bai Jinfeng: “It’s so embarrassing! A bunch of people surrounded me and asked me all kinds of questions.”
However, Ning Jia and An Ye had no idea about this.
Because today, the two of them found an excuse not to go to work and secretly went to the town to buy fishing nets.
Tonight, they are going to fish in the water, so they have to prepare the tools in advance.
After buying the fishing nets, they walked around the town and only turned back when it was getting dark to avoid being discovered by others.
When we returned to the village, we heard the sound of a movie playing in the wheat field.
The two of them went around the wheat field and headed back from the west of the village.
As soon as I walked outside the mill, I heard intermittent voices coming from inside.
“Jia Jia, listen!” An Ye immediately stopped, “There is movement in here, it seems to be a man and a woman.”
