Chapter 129: Don’t Be So Unreasonable
His jealousy came out of nowhere, everyone could see it.
Hu Yao choked and nodded, indicating that she knew, before he released Zhao Jiaxing.
Jiang Han had been busy for so many days, and today he had some free time. He took Hu Yao to get her hair cut, and then they went to the wine shop together. He taught her how to brew wine.
His serious and calm demeanor was very different from usual. Hu Yao couldn’t help but be slightly lost in thought as she looked at him.
His features were strong and three-dimensional,not fierce when he wasn’t being fierce and intimidating. He was handsome, but his reputation was not good, and he lived a rough life. Sometimes he was unkempt, but now he had changed many of his habits and was more accommodating to her. He was also cleaner now, looking very different from before.
“Look! What did I just say?” Jiang Han glanced at her.
He was really like mother and son with Jiang Fuchao!
“… I forgot to listen.” Hu Yao came back to her senses, her eyes wandering nervously.
Jiang Han was annoyed, and he told her again, guiding her hand.
He was teaching Hu Yao how to brew wine in the wine shop, and Jiang Xiaochao, who was supposed to inherit the old Jiang family’s craft, was running around outside playing.
He hadn’t eaten breakfast, but he had the money from Grandma Liu and the red bean cakes from Hu Yao in his small bag. He had also had a glass of milk in the morning, so he wasn’t too hungry.
Qiu Yarong knew he hadn’t eaten breakfast, and she ran back and forth several times to bring him several pieces of cake.
After playing for most of the day, it was almost time for dinner, so he disbanded with his friends and went back to the wine shop. The family of three went to eat.
On the way, they ran into Tang Haofei. Jiang Han remembered what he had promised Hu Yao yesterday, so he beat him up and didn’t give him a chance to speak.
Tang Haofei, who was carrying a large bag of eggs to return to Jiang Xiaochao, was speechless.
Looking at the family of three who had beaten him up, then walked away laughing and talking, he almost gritted his teeth.
These brothers were all so good at talking! Now they all valued their wives over their friends! This wasn’t because he had snatched his son’s eggs and pinched his son’s face! It was all to please their wives!
Jiang Xiaochao didn’t know what he was thinking in his heart. He ate the delicious food, peeled two eggs and ate them, and his happy smile was radiant.
For several days in a row, Hu Yao went to the wine shop to help, and Jiang Han would go with her when he was free, teaching her how to brew wine.
She had already told him about Zhong Jinghuai’s matter. His good day with Sun Qinshu was on the eighth day of next month. Jiang Han didn’t say whether he would go or not.
A few days later, he casually mentioned that it wouldn’t be convenient for her to go with her pregnancy, so she could just send a gift.
Hu Yao had no objections. It was so far to Beicheng, and it would be inconvenient for her to travel back and forth while pregnant.
A few days later, Jiang Han was busy again, running to the county every day, usually coming back late at night.
Spring tea could be picked. After Grandma Liu’s health improved, Grandpa Liu came out to help watch the shop. Hu Yao was busy picking tea in Taowan Village.
Wherever she was, Jiang Xiaochao was there. During the tea picking season, he ran around the foot of the mountain with the little cow and the little dog, having fun everywhere.
Du Ximei came to visit them from time to time, bringing Qiu Yarong with her. Qiu Yarong had rarely played in the mountains and fields before, and she found it novel and interesting. She almost snatched Jiang Xiaochao’s job of herding cattle.
The two little guys also went to the shallow stream to pick snails, using their small clothes to scoop them up. They ran back to Hu Yao, wet all over, saying that they wanted Hu Yao to stir-fry them for Jiang Han to drink with.
Qiu Yarong also liked Jiang Han very much, because Jiang Han was very generous to her, and Jiang Han had so many younger brothers. Every time she saw them, she was very worship. Once, she softly said to Jiang Han that she wanted to recognize him as her elder brother.
Hu Yao was amused, but Tang Haofei pulled a long face and looked at Jiang Han with particular resentment.
Since the day he got drunk and pinched Jiang Xiaochao’s face, Hu Yao’s opinion of him had become even worse. How could anyone get drunk and vent their anger on a child? Jiang Han didn’t do that!
She still remembered this, and Jiang Xiaochao had forgotten about receiving his eggs, not holding it against him.
It was said that that day he not only pinched Jiang Xiaochao’s face after drinking, but also went to pester Qiu Yingwen, being thick-skinned and shameless to the extreme.
With this beginning, he completely disregarded his face and ran to the cake shop every day. Qiu Yingwen beat him and scolded him, but he wouldn’t leave, making Qiu Yingwen furious.
The two of them had been arguing and accusing each other, and the events of that year were unclear. Now that Tang Haofei had lowered his attitude and admitted his mistakes, he had cleared up a lot of things.
But even so, Qiu Yingwen still looked down on him and had no intention of forgiving him.
Qiu Yarong accidentally learned that Tang Haofei was her father one time, and her attitude, which had improved somewhat towards him, completely disappeared. Qiu Yingwen had been running around looking for her father for so many years, and he had been bullied and gossiped about. She actually hated her father she had never met.
She felt that it was because of her father that they were living so badly, and she had always been resistant to him.
Now that she knew Tang Haofei was her father, she was angry. First, she questioned him about why he had abandoned her and her mother, and then she angrily called him a big bastard. She didn’t want him as her father.
Both mother and daughter shared the same disgust for him. Tang Haofei felt bitter in his heart.
He was unwilling to give up, and he was unwilling to lose them again. Afterwards, he continued to lick his face and shamelessly try to coax and pester them.
He found people to deal with those who gossiped about them, and he often asked people to buy cakes from Qiu Yingwen for him, almost eating them as meals.
He allowed himself to be beaten and scolded, but he was still shamelessly persistent. Du Ximei had been telling Hu Yao about Tang Haofei’s bad deeds recently.
Even if he was now admitting his mistakes and his attitude was so good, he had caused this situation with Qiu Yingwen because of their quarrel and misunderstanding. But the hardships Qiu Yingwen had suffered over the past few years were real, how could she easily forget?
In this era, it was hard enough for a woman to get pregnant before marriage, and she had suffered so much hardship and gossip. If Qiu Yingwen had been more fragile, she and Qiu Yarong might not have survived to this day.
Hu Yao also thought Tang Haofei was despicable and couldn’t stand to see him. Sometimes when she saw him come to drink with Jiang Han, she even felt a little depressed towards Jiang Han.
“What does it have to do with me! He got a woman pregnant and didn’t take responsibility, I got you pregnant and didn’t take responsibility?” Jiang Han was annoyed by her resentment.
Now she was giving him the cold shoulder whenever she was unhappy! Tang Haofei was a scum, what did it have to do with him-…
Relationship? If he was like that in this aspect, how could she even stand in front of him?
“I brought you home first, then I slept with you!” He spoke bluntly.
He wasn’t seeing her for the first time when he bought her. He did like her appearance, but he was a real scum, would he wait until after buying her before touching her?
Hu Yao’s face flushed red, and she threw the towel in her hand at him, refusing to wipe his face anymore.
He had drunk a lot of wine, his eyes were hazy and deep as he looked at her. Seeing that she was about to leave, he reached out to pull her back into his arms, lowered his head and pinched her cheek, his voice slightly hoarse from drinking.
“What are you thinking about all day? If you’re not happy, just make a scene! It’s none of my business, you just make a scene. Don’t be so unreasonable! I’ll beat you up!”
