Chapter 166: Sleeping and Giving Birth

Qiu Yingwen took a deep breath, wanting to smack his head.

The courtyard was bustling with noise, not a moment of peace.

Jiang Xiaochao struggled to climb out of Jiang Han’s arms: “Dad, I’m going to wash my hands and then sleep with you!”

His father was drunk again and wanted to sleep with him. It had been a long time since this had happened, and Jiang Xiaochao was quite happy about it, completely unaware that Hu Yao had instructed Jiang Han to do this.

He was now a clean-loving child. Hu Yao didn’t like dirty kids sleeping with her, so of course he had to clean himself up.

He ran outside to wash his hands, the commotion in the courtyard making him peek out again.

He just happened to see Du Ximei fighting with Song Sikai. They fought for a while, and before he could intervene, they started acting strangely. Then he saw Tang Haofei kneeling and kowtowing to Qiu Yingwen.

In this noisy environment, Qiu Yarong was actually asleep on the hay of the little cow. Looking at her flushed face, she had been drinking again.

“Mom, Uncle Haofei and the others seem silly!” Jiang Xiaochao said to Hu Yao, who was also standing by the door, watching everything silently.

Hu Yao was speechless for a few seconds before pulling her gaze away, choking out, “Mom washed a towel, Chaochao, you take it to your dad first.”

She had not only seen their fighting but also witnessed Qiu Yarong’s drunken stupor.

It seemed she hadn’t learned her lesson last time.

There were several drunkards in the house, except for Jiang Han. The noise they made was considerable. The little cow, having been bitten twice by Qiu Yarong, mooed and hid in the corner, leaving the center of the cowshed for her to sleep in.

The two puppies, after being “tortured” by Song Sikai, had disappeared somewhere.

Amidst the chaos, Hu Yao went over and pulled the dazed and drunken Qiu Yarong up.

“It’s so hot…” Qiu Yarong hummed softly, pressing her face against Hu Yao’s arm.

When Hu Yao led her into the inner room and went to wash a towel, Qiu Yarong lay on the ground again, rubbing her face against the cool tiles.

Seeing her like this, Hu Yao laughed, “Rongrong, get up. Auntie will wipe your face. It won’t be so hot after you wipe it.”

This little rascal, knowing she was uncomfortable, still went to steal wine. This time, the wine Jiang Han and the others drank was much stronger than last time, and she had taken a big gulp.

Jiang Xiaochao, whom Jiang Han wanted to force to drink, didn’t like alcohol. He preferred sweets.

“I’ll wipe it for her.” Qiu Yingwen came in, seeing Qiu Yarong drunk again, sighed helplessly and took the towel from Hu Yao.

This little girl, at such a young age, had developed a bad habit: she learned to drink!

“Wenwen, I’ll wipe it too!” Tang Haofei, who didn’t know when he had stuck around, shamelessly tried to push Qiu Yarong away.

“Get out!” Qiu Yingwen couldn’t bear it anymore and kicked him away.

“Get out~! Bad guy!” Qiu Yarong echoed, clenching her small fists, her expression fierce.

“Don’t talk, you’re no better!” Qiu Yingwen was furious at the father and daughter, wanting to beat one to death and knock the other unconscious.

“Mom, you’re being mean to me.”

“I’ll even hit you!” Qiu Yingwen slapped her small hand, coldly snorted, and wiped her apple-red face with a towel.

“Don’t be angry, I’ll kiss you.” Qiu Yarong, not angry at being hit, drowsily pouted her small mouth, wanting to kiss her.

Seeing this scene, Hu Yao couldn’t help but laugh again.

Jiang Han came out of the room and pulled her back.

He had been waiting for her in the room with Jiang Xiaochao for a long time, and she hadn’t come back to sleep. He was already impatient.

She said she would go back to sleep with him later. Who knew if she was telling the truth? She would run off again in a while.

“Mom, Dad doesn’t want me to wipe his face.” Jiang Xiaochao hugged the towel and followed, pouting.

Hu Yao followed Jiang Han’s slightly hurried pace, suddenly frowning.

“Jiang Han.”

“What? Sleep.” He pulled her into the room and immediately slammed the door shut, blocking out most of the noise and commotion outside.

“Dad~ You don’t want me to sleep with you?” Jiang Xiaochao, left outside, patted the door with his small hand.

Jiang Han completely ignored him.

Hu Yao was pushed onto the bed by him, her brow furrowed deeper, wanting to get up.

He pressed down on her shoulders, stopping her movement, casually taking off his shirt, ready to sleep with her.

“Wait…” Hu Yao grabbed his hand, feeling something wrong.

Jiang Han didn’t listen, kneeling down in front of her, taking off her shoes.

After taking off her shoes and letting her into the bed, he immediately turned off the light and hugged her.

Hu Yao uncomfortably pushed his hand away, sat up, her breath heavier, feeling the uncomfortable strangeness in her body. She trembled slightly, her voice shaky.

“Jiang Han, I, I think I’m going to give birth. I’m in so much pain.”

As she spoke, a heavier wave of pain came, and she clutched his hand tightly, her face slightly pale and her breathing unsteady.

Jiang Han patted her, pulling her back into his arms: “Hmm, lie down and sleep, be good.”

“…”

Hu Yao angrily hit him twice, raising her voice: “Let me go! I, I’m going to give birth!”

Who would want to sleep with him now!

The child in her belly was hers. She didn’t know if she had miscalculated the time or something, but it was already past ten months and still hadn’t shown any signs of coming out.

She couldn’t help but worry that it was because of the medicine she had taken before, and she was worried sick.

Jiang Han, on the other hand, was still in the mood to joke, saying that she was carrying a god, and that she couldn’t force it to come out if it didn’t want to. He said to let it stay in her belly as long as it wanted, to stay as long as it liked.

But while saying this, he had also taken her to the hospital for a thorough examination. The examination results were fine, it seemed that it just didn’t want to come out yet.

Seeing her so nervous and worried, –>>

He then started threatening the child in her belly, saying that when it came out it would know its place, that he would beat it three times a day while Jiang Fuzhao would beat it six times.

She was very precious about this child, even more so than Jiang Fuzhao back then. She went to the hospital frequently, worried and scared, saying that it would be a troublesome child if it wasn’t for some accident. He even sharpened a special stick for beating it in advance.

Maybe it was because of his recent scare, but the usually active child became even more inactive. Usually, when Hu Yao spoke to it and touched her belly, it would react. But these past few days, it had been silent, not making a sound.

The child in her belly wasn’t born yet, and gossip had already started in Taowan Village. People were saying that the child was actually a result of Hu Yao cheating on Jiang Han with another man, that the timing didn’t add up…

Some even went further, calculating Hu Yao’s pregnancy timeline with great detail, claiming that Jiang Han was away on a trip for ten days or half a month before she announced her pregnancy.

They made up a lot of nonsense.

This time, Jiang Han didn’t hold back. He severely punished anyone who spread rumors, and they finally quieted down.

“Sleeping and having a baby… having a baby?” Jiang Han’s hand holding her stiffened, his gaze fixed on her, gradually becoming clear, his previous dullness fading.
