Chapter 48: How She Glared
Hu Yao didn’t know about Jiang Xiaochao’s fight with Hu Qiao, but Jiang Han did.
After all, there were many street urchins wandering around the neighborhood, and many of them were his brothers or younger brothers. He always had a good grasp of information.
When he came back, Hu Yao was still cooking in the public kitchen. With nothing to do, he grabbed Jiang Xiaochao and asked him what he had done and why he had fought with someone.
Jiang Fuchao hadn’t had his hair cut for a while, and his fluffy hair almost reached his eyes.
Recalling how he had asked Hu Yao to tie up a small bunch of hair at the top of his head before, he reached out and pulled his hair together as he asked.
“She glared at Mom! Just like this!” Jiang Xiaochao let him touch his hair, only lifting his little face to demonstrate how Hu Qiao had glared at Hu Yao.
“So arrogant? Did your mom glare back?” Jiang Han chatted casually with him.
“No! But I helped Mom glare back! I even hit her eyes!”
“She’s as fierce as a monster, she looks like she wants to eat children, but she doesn’t even dare to scold me!” Jiang Xiaochao’s little expression was quite arrogant.
Jiang Han clicked his tongue, let go of his messy hair and pinched his cheek: “If I wasn’t your father, someone would have scolded you? You wouldn’t even know where to pick you up!”
Jiang Xiaochao didn’t quite understand what he meant. He hummed softly and straightened his little hair.
Hu Yao came back with hot food. They could faintly hear their father and son’s conversation about monsters eating people and scolding people.
She glanced at them, set down the dishes and chopsticks.
There was still soup left in the kitchen, so she went back again, directly carrying the whole casserole back.
The father and son had already sat down and were ready to eat. Jiang Xiaochao’s eyes lit up as he raised his little bowl to her.
She couldn’t help but smile again, and she served him a bowl of soup first, gently reminding him, “You have to blow it cool before you drink it, don’t be in a hurry.”
“Hmm hmm!” Jiang Xiaochao nodded repeatedly, his little spoon already in his hand.
Just the two of them, mother and son, had to be so delicate, drinking soup with a spoon, spoonful by spoonful. Jiang Han just drank directly from the bowl.
After watching the mother and son carefully drink their soup for a while, he looked away and took a big gulp.
The next second, his face changed.
The soup was scalding hot!
“What’s wrong?” Hu Yao noticed the slight change in his expression, then looked at the soup bowl he was holding still, and asked hesitantly, “Did you get burned? Take it slow.”
Her voice was soft, and her tone of voice was no different from when she spoke to Jiang Fuchao.
This was the first time she had taken the initiative to care about him, for such a trivial matter.
His mood suddenly improved, Jiang Han’s face softened: “It’s nothing, eat yours.”
“Oh.” Hu Yao continued to drink her soup.
Suddenly, his voice came again.
“Did someone bully you today?”
Hu Yao raised her head in confusion.
“Jiang Fuchao said your sister glared at you.”
Glaring at someone is considered bullying? Hu Yao looked at him, then at Jiang Xiaochao, not wanting to talk much about Hu Qiao, she shook her head: “Nothing.”
“Yes! She glared at Mom!” Jiang Xiaochao had already told Jiang Han, but he still had to say it again.
In his eyes, Hu Yao being glared at was considered being bullied.
Seeing his little unhappy expression because of this, Hu Yao felt soft in her heart and gently comforted him: “I glared back.”
“Really?” Jiang Xiaochao was doubtful, he hadn’t paid attention at the time.
“Really, how did you glare, glare at me now so I can see.” Jiang Han was interested.
Hu Yao paused, looked at him.
Jiang Han looked at her, motioning for her to start.
The father and son both looked at her.
“…” Hu Yao felt like a monkey performing tricks at this moment.
She couldn’t glare suddenly.
“Let’s eat…”
“Did you get burned anywhere? Do you want some cold water?” She changed the subject softly.
Sure enough, he didn’t continue to ask her to show him how to glare, his eyes were unclear as he looked at her, then he stroked her hair like he was stroking a dog.
Their physical contact wasn’t infrequent, he always hugged and held her, even patted her butt frivolously! But such gentle and intimate actions were rare.
She just cared and said a few words, and his attitude softened a lot.
Hu Yao looked at him out of the corner of her eye, inexplicably reminded of what Grandma Liu had said.
What men need to be coaxed, Jiang Han is also easy to coax, coax him well, he will agree to everything…
A bunch of nonsense.
She knew that Grandma Liu had told her so much about Jiang Han because she wanted her to change her opinion of him, she wanted them to live a good life.
But… he seems to be quite easy to coax?
While eating, Hu Yao was lost in thought for a while.
At night, they still slept together as a family of three. He would always hug her, she rested her head on his arm, and tentatively reached out to hug his hand that was about to reach her waist.
The strong muscular arm was embraced in her soft embrace, feeling the soft touch, Jiang Han’s body tightened, he looked down at her, his eyes darkened.
“Behave yourself!” he said in a rough voice, his tone unpleasant, but his actions didn’t move, his arm remained in her embrace.
He had changed his personality today, first he cared for him unusually, now he even dared to seduce him!
When he really slept with her, he would make her cry like a pear blossom in the rain!
Was he forcing her?
Thinking of the few times when his body was happy but his mood was not so pleasant, Jiang Han’s face was a bit stinky.
Hu Yao raised her eyes to look at him, as if she realized it, it wasn’t at all like she was seducing him, her eyes were clear and pure, hearing his unpleasant tone, she hurriedly let go of his hand and hugged Jiang Xiaochao who was sleeping soundly beside her.
It was as if she had just made a mistake.
In an instant, Jiang Han’s face turned even uglier than before.
He flipped her over, held her face-to-face, lowered his head and bit her lips. His big hand reached under her clothes, his rough palm sliding up her flat, smooth abdomen, continuing upward.
Hu Yao’s eyes were filled with a layer of mist, and her cheeks were flushed red.
He blocked her lips, and her hurried, shy voice was broken and unclear.
“Chaochao…he…he’s watching…” She patted his chest randomly, not daring to make too much noise and wake up Jiang Xiaochao.
She knew she shouldn’t have hugged him just now!
“He can’t see now!” He was aroused by her, pressing her soft and warm body, his body becoming increasingly tense, the three inches below his abdomen already reacting.
He picked her up with one arm, leaving the bed for Jiang Fu Chao to sleep alone, and carried her to the small hall outside.
Her bare back was pressed against the uneven wall, feeling extremely uncomfortable.
She was completely suspended in his arms, her slender, white legs forced to wrap around his waist, and his urgent, hot kisses fell upon her.
Before, they had done these things properly on the bed. Now, this situation made Hu Yao nervous, uneasy, and flustered, filled with regret.
“Jiang…Jiang Han, let’s, let’s…”
Surrounded by his aggressive and dangerous aura, she stammered and trembled as she spoke, weak and pitiful.
It made him…not want to let her go.
