Chapter 16 : Walking Hormones
Li Xueqiu, left behind, glared at the man walking away and cursed.
“I knew none of you men are any good. Once I find my jade, I’ll dump you.” After spitting venomously, Li Xueqiu hurriedly rode off on her bicycle again.
But it was already very late, and the road was bumpy and hard to navigate.
Not long after she started riding, Li Xueqiu fell. She was wearing a skirt, and her knees were scraped directly by the mud on the ground. She almost cried out in pain.
“It’s all that bitch’s fault!”
Thinking that everything that happened to her today was caused by Su Ranran, she became even more angry and hateful.
Why had she been saved by Shen He in the first place?
If not for that, she’d be a disgrace now.
It was also her own fault for being careless. She had been too focused on her own matters and hadn’t paid attention to such a cowardly woman. Who would have thought she would turn around and make things worse for her?
When she remembered that her space jade was still missing, her hatred for that woman deepened. Li Xueqiu didn’t care about the pain in her leg. She gritted her teeth and got up from the ground again.
But just as she was about to ride her bicycle, she suddenly heard a vulgar voice from behind.
“Oh, it’s Li Xueqiu, where are you going?”
Li Xueqiu turned around and saw that the man was from the same brigade, nicknamed Erzhu. Erzhu and Goudan were both notorious troublemakers in Shuiqiao Brigade. They were idle and sly, lazy during the day, and liked to talk nonsense.
The girls and wives in the team were often teased by them. But this behavior wasn’t enough to be considered as serious hooliganism, so the brigade leader could only criticize them.
However, these two were thick-skinned and not afraid of consequences. The criticisms had no effect and only made things worse.
Even though Li Xueqiu liked men, she looked down on these two vulgar individuals. But at this moment, she had just fallen, and her knee was in great pain, making it impossible for her to ride the bike.
“It’s Brother Zhu. I left something in the county and need to go back to get it,” she said.
As she spoke, Li Xueqiu habitually flicked her long hair.
Although her hair was messy and her makeup smudged, her foundation was still visible, and her outfit clung to her curves. The address of “Brother Zhu” made Erzhu feel a stirring sensation.
“It’s so unsafe for a girl like you to be out so late at night. How about I take you there?” Erzhu said, his eyes scanning her figure suggestively, clearly interested.
The lewd and vulgar look made Li Xueqiu feel disgusted. But she was in a hurry and couldn’t afford to be picky.
“Then I’ll trouble Brother Zhu,” she said.
One was eager to return to the county, and the other had malicious intentions, so the two of them ended up together.
—
Meanwhile, Su Ranran had just returned to the house after taking a shower.
As soon as she stepped inside, she noticed the camp bed in the corner, and her feet paused.
Ever since she went on a hunger strike, Shen He, seemingly worried that she might do something more radical, had gotten a camp bed and placed it in the corner.
Looking at the neatly folded quilt on the small bed, Su Ranran’s eyes flashed with a hint of complexity.
He had always been very accommodating to her.
Biting her lip, Su Ranran walked toward the small bed. She didn’t know if it was a habit she developed from the army, but there was nothing on his bed except the quilt and pillow. It was clean and simple, just like the impression he gave her.
After a moment of hesitation, Su Ranran sat on the narrow bed. As soon as she sat down, she smelled a faint scent that belonged to him.
Su Ranran’s face couldn’t help but flush slightly.
After a pause, Su Ranran reached out to pick up the quilt and pillow from the head of the bed.
Since they had reconciled, it didn’t seem right to sleep in separate beds. But just as she was thinking this, Su Ranran suddenly stopped.
In her previous life, she had learned that the intimate acts between a husband and wife were part of their bond, so she took the time to read up on some knowledge.
But she was a conservative person, how could she obtain formal knowledge on the subject?
As a result, she had only read a lot of random things. Su Ranran also had a clearer understanding of men’s needs. Especially for a soldier like him, his energy was incomparable to that of ordinary people. After marrying him, they had only been intimate a few times, and those could be counted on one hand.
This showed how restrained he was.
And now that she was pregnant, it was impossible for them to make any further progress. Wouldn’t it be torture to have him sleep next to her at night?
Thinking of this, Su Ranran withdrew her hand from the quilt.
Just as she was about to get up, she heard a creaking sound from the door. Looking in the direction of the sound, the next moment, Su Ranran’s face, which was already a little flushed, became even redder.
“You…” Why did you come back like this?
It turned out that Shen He had just gone to the river to take a bath. His hair was wet, and his clothes were soaked. In summer, the thin fabric clung to his body. In the dim light, Su Ranran could vaguely make out his bulging chest muscles and well-defined abdominal muscles.
“What are you looking for?”
Shen He asked, stepping into the room, unaware of the impact his current appearance might have on her.
Looking at the man, who seemed like a walking hormone, slowly approaching her, Su Ranran’s mind involuntarily flashed with some “knowledge.”
Realizing what she was thinking, she quickly looked away uncomfortably.
“Nothing.”
Su Ranran had now abandoned the idea of asking him to return to the bed. She was afraid she might not be able to control herself.
At this moment, Su Ranran clearly felt that, as a woman, she also longed to get closer to him.
“Tell me if you feel uncomfortable.”
Shen He had always returned like this after taking a shower before. Since it was dark, he didn’t understand her strange emotions and thought she was simply uncomfortable because of her pregnancy.
“Okay.” Su Ranran nodded, not daring to look at him anymore, and went back to her bed directly. As soon as she lay down, she heard Shen He turn around and go to the closet to get clothes.
She didn’t have many clothes, and he had even fewer. After a while, she heard him close the closet door and head out.
Su Ranran quietly sighed in relief.
But a few words flashed through her mind uncontrollably.
“3D shoulders,” “dog waist,” “shark line”… Of course, she hadn’t seen the legendary “shark line.”
After all, Shen He’s pants weren’t low enough for her to see that part. But for some reason, Su Ranran felt an inexplicable sense of regret.
She patted her slightly hot cheeks and forced herself not to think about it. Then she probed her consciousness into the space again.
As soon as she entered, Su Ranran noticed something was wrong. The lotus-shaped warehouse seemed to have changed a little?
As soon as Su Ranran put her consciousness into the warehouse, she saw something resembling anti-wolf spray, “whoosh,” and it disappeared right in front of her.
Su Ranran: …
