Chapter 35 : Complete Control of the Warehouse

Su Ranran spoke with a righteous expression on her face.

The two police officers couldn’t help but admire her upright demeanor.

If she had denied picking up such a valuable item, no one could have forced her to admit it. Yet, not only did she not deny it, but she also calmly handed the jade over to them.

Thinking of this, Qi Hongyuan solemnly said, “Su Ranran, thank you for your cooperation. We will take this jade back for investigation. If there are any follow-up questions, we hope you can continue to cooperate.”

Su Ranran nodded with an attitude of a responsible citizen.

Qi Hongyuan expressed his gratitude once more and was just about to reach for the jade when something unexpected happened!

Li Xueqiu suddenly broke free from the officers’ grip and lunged towards the jade with lightning speed. But before she could touch it, a scream of “Ah!” mixed with the sound of a sharp “click” filled the air.

Su Ranran quickly reached out to protect the jade.

As soon as her hand touched Li Xueqiu’s, Su Ranran’s fingertips flashed coldly. In the chaos, her sharp nails grazed Li Xueqiu’s fingers, drawing blood instantly.

At the same time, Su Ranran sensed a faint red thread connected to Li Xueqiu’s hand. In a flash, she used a special miniature blade hidden in her space to sever the invisible thread.

“Ah!” Li Xueqiu screamed in pain.

Her wrist was now twisted at an odd angle, clearly dislocated.

However, despite the injury, Li Xueqiu seemed oblivious to the pain and continued to struggle desperately to grab the jade.

“My jade! Give me back my jade!”

Her crazed expression made it seem as though the jade was her lifeline.

“Take her away!”

Qi Hongyuan acted swiftly, flipping Li Xueqiu over again and signaling Xiao Qin to take her away.

He was eager to find out what secrets the jade held, what could make someone who lived comfortably turn into such a madwoman?

Su Ranran watched calmly as Li Xueqiu was escorted away, showing no concern for the so-called warehouse that had now fully returned to her possession.

As for the lotus jade now in the hands of the police…

Su Ranran glanced at the identical jade safely stored in her space, a sneer forming at the corner of her lips.

The red mole on her left wrist seemed to glow even brighter.

Li Xueqiu probably never imagined that Su Ranran possessed several such jades in her space.

In fact, the real warehouse had already been fully integrated into her space.

Su Ranran could already foresee Li Xueqiu’s inevitable downfall.

Thinking back to the unusual feeling she had when she took full control of the warehouse, Su Ranran didn’t linger in the brigade for long. As soon as the officers left, she followed suit.

When she returned home, she found that the Shen family had already prepared dinner. With no choice, she patiently finished her meal and took a shower before returning to her room.

Since Shen He had not yet returned, Su Ranran locked the door and eagerly projected her consciousness into the warehouse.

The warehouse was still in disarray.

It seemed that Li Xueqiu had hoarded too many items and couldn’t use them all. Other than food, clothing, and jewelry, most things appeared untouched.

Perhaps because the warehouse was now fully under her control, Su Ranran could clearly sense everything inside.

Recalling the strange feeling she had earlier, she directed her consciousness to a hidden corner. To her surprise, a towering bookshelf the size of a library appeared before her.

A quick glance revealed an extensive collection of books covering various disciplines, far more comprehensive than any university library she had visited before.

Su Ranran picked up a book, feeling an ancient and rustic texture beneath her fingertips. Curious, she carefully opened the slightly worn cover and found it was a medical text. More specifically, it was an ancient compendium of traditional Chinese medicine recipes.

Although Su Ranran had studied horticulture in her previous life and not medicine, she instinctively felt that this book was extraordinary.

Considering how many traditional Chinese remedies had been lost over time, she felt the weight of history in her hands. Carefully placing the book back, she picked up another one from the shelf. This one, also aged and textured, contained ancient beauty and skincare recipes.

Perhaps because beauty is irresistible to women, Su Ranran became engrossed in the pages.

It wasn’t until she flipped through several pages that she realized the book contained secret beauty formulas used by ancient imperial concubines. Each recipe was a treasure trove of knowledge, and even a single formula could make a fortune in modern times.

And yet, she had not one, but two copies?

Placing the book back, Su Ranran continued exploring. What she found next left her in shock.

In addition to ancient texts, there were books made of unfamiliar materials she couldn’t even identify.

The content inside was incomprehensible to her, but she had a vague feeling that it contained futuristic technology.

Who exactly were her ancestors?

How did they obtain books that spanned from ancient times to the distant future?

The sheer volume of precious knowledge made her head spin. It was astonishing to think that any single book from this collection could cause a sensation in the modern world.

The thought that such an invaluable treasure had almost been destroyed by Li Xueqiu sent a chill down her spine. But something didn’t add up, why hadn’t Li Xueqiu found these books in her previous dreams?

Su Ranran herself had overlooked the hidden library at first. It was only after she gained full control of the warehouse that she discovered this hidden corner.

Could there have been a protective barrier?

Was it possible that only the bloodline of her ancestors could unlock it?

After browsing through the library, Su Ranran took a long time to calm the shock in her heart. Besides the books, she noticed piles of minerals and materials stacked in the corners of the warehouse, items she couldn’t recognize or understand.

However, given the astonishing nature of the books she had just seen, Su Ranran didn’t dare to underestimate these seemingly insignificant objects.

On the other side of the library, there were rows of neatly arranged small cabinets, resembling the compartments used to store Chinese medicine in traditional pharmacies.

Curious, Su Ranran opened one of the drawers, and sure enough, it contained medicinal herbs. However, they didn’t look like the typical Chinese herbs she was familiar with, and she couldn’t determine their quality or efficacy.

Still, she was certain that anything stored in this space couldn’t be ordinary.

After all, every single book on the shelves was invaluable, with no sign of anything being placed idly.

As she continued to explore the hidden corners of the warehouse, Su Ranran realized that all these precious items had never been touched by Li Xueqiu in her previous life.

It wasn’t that Li Xueqiu was ignorant or unable to recognize their value, there was no way she could have overlooked such treasures. The only reasonable explanation was that a barrier truly existed, preventing Li Xueqiu from sensing or accessing these items. She could only make use of the more ordinary supplies within the warehouse.
