Chapter 16: Did he misunderstand Lin Yitang?

Wang Wenqiang’s right hand was almost pierced by Lin Yitang. Although the wound was treated, his hand was essentially ruined.

Wang Wenqiang’s parents only had this one precious son and wouldn’t let it go. Even though Liu Xiaotong had explained the situation to them, stating that she was also a victim and that Lin Yitang was responsible,

Wang Wenqiang’s parents still blamed Liu Xiaotong.

Fearing they would attack her again, Liu Xiaotong quickly contacted her parents to mediate with Wang Wenqiang’s parents.  After several days, they finally shifted the blame to Lin Yitang.

She had originally intended to match Lin Yitang with Wang Wenqiang, but she ended up involved with Wang Wenqiang herself, even having relations with him.

She had failed and suffered losses. How could Liu Xiaotong tolerate this?

She immediately instigated Wang Wenqiang’s parents to report Lin Yitang to the police, claiming Lin Yitang had intentionally injured Wang Wenqiang and should be imprisoned!

To witness Lin Yitang’s miserable fate, Liu Xiaotong had come to watch the show. Only by seeing Lin Yitang taken to prison could she alleviate her hatred!

“I harmed you? Liu Xiaotong, you know who harmed whom. You deserve what you got.”

Lin Yitang’s face was cold, her eyes clear. She had simply used their own methods against them.

Wang Xiulian’s eyebrows shot up.

“Lin Yitang, how dare you talk to us like that? Xiaotong is your cousin. She treated you like a sister since childhood, but you harmed her like this!

You heartless wretch, you’re an ungrateful viper! No wonder your parents died so young; you must have been a jinx that killed them!”

Lin Yitang’s face darkened visibly. She walked up to Wang Xiulian and slapped her twice, stunning her.

After a moment, she reacted, looking at Lin Yitang incredulously, “You little Bitch, you dare hit me? This is outrageous! I’ll teach you a lesson!”

She rolled up her sleeves to grab Lin Yitang’s face.

The police reacted, stepping in and saying sternly, “Enough! This is a police station. What are you doing?”

Wang Xiulian shrank her neck, withdrawing her hand. She fiercely pinched Liu Dayong, scolding, “You useless man, say something! Are you just going to watch your niece bully us?”

Liu Dayong raised his head woodenly, looking at Lin Yitang, his mouth moving before a commotion erupted outside.

“Have you caught the person who hurt my son? Let me see which Bitch crippled my son’s hand. I won’t let her off!”

A shrill female voice was followed by three bulky figures, one of whom was Wang Wenqiang!

Lin Yitang found the sight disgusting.  The three were truly a family, equally greasy and repulsive.  One might mistake them for pigs that had escaped.

“It’s her, she’s Lin Yitang!”

Liu Xiaotong eagerly pointed at Lin Yitang.

Wang Wenqiang’s mother looked at Lin Yitang, her jealousy rising at the sight of her beautiful face.  She was clearly a Bitch!

She probably seduced her son and then injured him.  She deserved a beating!

She stepped forward, intending to attack Lin Yitang, but seeing the tall man beside her and the sharp look in his eyes, she hesitated.

Seeing them about to cause trouble, the police called for reinforcements to control the situation.

“Enough! You reported her for injuring Wang Wenqiang’s hand. We’ll start the investigation and interrogation.  Further disturbances will only waste your time!”

Silence finally fell.

The police began questioning Lin Yitang about injuring Wang Wenqiang.

Lin Yitang had already planned her response. She hadn’t intended to let the matter go lightly. Since Liu Xiaotong had come, she wouldn’t show mercy!

Tears welled up in her eyes as she said, “I did injure Wang Wenqiang’s hand, but it was self-defense! He and Liu Xiaotong drugged me and tried to assault me. I fought back.

Luckily, they got what they deserved, also affected by the potent drug, losing control and embracing each other. I escaped during that chaos!

Officer, they tried to harm me, and they committed hooliganism; they should be executed!”

Lin Yitang cried as she spoke, her pale face flushed, looking weak and pitiful.

Yu Jingchuan, hearing this, had a grim expression.

So Lin Yitang hadn’t tried to seduce him but had been framed?

Had he misunderstood her?

Several police officers looked at Lin Yitang with sympathy, especially a female officer, who angrily glared at Liu Xiaotong and the others.

Liu Xiaotong and Wang Wenqiang turned pale.

Hooliganism?  There was a crackdown on this crime recently.  If they were made an example, they might be executed!

No, they couldn’t admit it!

Liu Xiaotong trembled, her voice shaking, “Lin Yitang, stop lying! We didn’t drug you, and we didn’t commit hooliganism. You’re slandering us!”

“I’m slandering you?  Why would I harm Wang Wenqiang? We don’t even know each other.

You plotted against me first and are now trying to turn the tables! Luckily, you got what you deserved! You say you didn’t commit hooliganism, but will you go to the hospital for a checkup?

Hospitals can now determine if you’re a virgin.  Dare you?”

Lin Yitang’s argument was sound, leaving Liu Xiaotong speechless. She tried to retort but couldn’t find the words.

Damn it, when did Lin Yitang become so eloquent!

Wang Wenqiang was terrified, his face full of panic.

“I didn’t commit hooliganism! It was Liu Xiaotong. She wanted to match me with Lin Yitang and came up with this plan. She instructed me!

And she seduced me; it’s not my fault!”

You fool! Liu Xiaotong glared at Wang Wenqiang, her eyes wanting to kill him.

His words admitted their actions!  What an idiot!

Liu Xiaotong immediately said, “Lin Yitang drugged us both. She harmed us; otherwise, why would I look at him? It’s all Lin Yitang’s fault. Arrest her!”

She yelled frantically, trying to shift the blame.

But she had lied so much that no one believed her. The police weren’t fools; they had guessed what happened.

They had plotted to harm Lin Yitang but failed, suffering losses instead. They were both stupid and wicked!

The female police officer patted Lin Yitang’s shoulder, reassuring her, “Don’t worry. They will pay for their actions!  They committed hooliganism.

Our station needs to make an example, and they are the perfect candidates. We will deal with them seriously!”

Lin Yitang wiped her tears and gave the female officer a grateful smile.

But Liu Xiaotong and Wang Wenqiang panicked and became terrified.

Serious consequences? Would they really be executed?

No! Liu Xiaotong cried, her eyes suddenly lighting up.  She yelled, “We didn’t commit hooliganism. We’re engaged!”
