Chapter 3: Lingquan Space

Lin Yitang subtly pushed Liu Xiaotong’s hand away, saying coldly, “I’ll handle it myself. It’s a good thing you’re here. I’m a little short on cash lately. Shouldn’t you return the money you borrowed from me?”

Liu Xiaotong’s expression froze for a moment, but she quickly recovered, humming, “Cousin, I don’t have any money either. Anyway, you don’t spend much living in the Yu family, I’ll pay you back later!”

She said it lightly, but this “later” could be anytime.

“You borrowed a total of forty five yuan from me. I’ll give you three days. If you don’t repay it after three days, I’ll go to your school to collect it.”

Lin Yitang’s tone was distant and cold, not at all joking.

Liu Xiaotong finally noticed the change in Lin Yitang. In the past, Lin Yitang had been very close to her, but today, she was radiating coldness.  She didn’t know what had gotten into her.

Liu Xiaotong pouted angrily, “Cousin, don’t be so stingy. I’ll pay you back…”

Before she finished, Lin Yitang suddenly grabbed her arm.

“This jade bracelet was also borrowed from me. Now you should return it.”

Liu Xiaotong was wearing a very translucent jade bracelet. It was a heirloom from Lin Yitang’s mother, which Lin Yitang had always worn close to her body.

But once Liu Xiaotong saw it, she liked it and borrowed it, and never returned it.

In her past life, Lin Yitang truly treated Liu Xiaotong as her younger sister, but this time, she wouldn’t be so foolish.

Seeing Lin Yitang about to take the bracelet off her wrist, Liu Xiaotong was startled, instinctively pushing Lin Yitang away and taking a few steps back.

“Cousin, I really like this bracelet. Didn’t you say I could borrow it for a while?”

“You said it was borrowed. Now I’m taking back what’s mine!”

Lin Yitang stared straight at Liu Xiaotong, her eyes filled with an indescribable pressure.

Liu Xiaotong watched helplessly as Lin Yitang snatched the jade bracelet, a hollowness suddenly appearing in her heart, as if she had lost something important.

She pursed her lips and said angrily, “Cousin, why have you become so stingy?”

Lin Yitang put the bracelet away and coldly questioned, “Taking back my own things is stingy? Since you say so, I won’t give you three days. You must return the money you borrowed tomorrow.”

“You…”

Liu Xiaotong could no longer maintain her composure, glaring angrily at Lin Yitang.

“You’d better remember my words. I have something to do, so I’ll go back first.”

Lin Yitang didn’t want to waste time with her, turning around and returning to the Yu family.

Watching her back, Liu Xiaotong’s face was livid, and she stamped her foot in anger.

Why had Lin Yitang’s attitude changed so suddenly? Was it because she thought she was about to climb the social ladder?

What was there to be proud of! She was just a Bitch! Which man would genuinely like such a restless woman?

Just wait! She would definitely marry better than Lin Yitang in the future!

Lin Yitang returned to her room with the jade bracelet. She carefully washed it before putting it back on her wrist.

She sat back at her desk and reviewed the plan she had written.

But the paper was too sharp, and she accidentally cut her finger. Blood dripped continuously, with one drop staining the jade bracelet.

Lin Yitang instinctively wiped it, but the next second, she felt a flash of light before her eyes.

When she opened her eyes again, she found herself in an unfamiliar place.

The area was filled with fertile land, vast and boundless, with an exceptionally blue sky and incredibly fresh air. 

Not far away was a cold spring.

Lin Yitang walked over to examine it and found a small amount of clear, crystal clear water.

She unconsciously scooped up some water and drank a few sips, her eyes widening.

So sweet! And refreshing. After drinking it, she felt her body lighten.

Where was this?

Lin Yitang frowned in confusion, a suspicion forming.

She had only touched the jade bracelet. Could there be a hidden space within the jade bracelet her mother had left her?

She unconsciously recalled the events of her past life.

Liu Xiaotong’s husband was not originally that well-off, but for some reason, he later started a pharmaceutical factory, and his business grew day by day.

Liu Xiaotong also changed greatly. She originally had a rather delicate appearance and slightly yellowish skin, but later she became increasingly fair, and her features became more refined.

In her past life, Lin Yitang had simply thought Liu Xiaotong had grown up and learned to dress better.

But now it seemed that everything Liu Xiaotong had gained might be related to this jade bracelet space!

A cold look flashed in Lin Yitang’s eyes.  All the kindness she had shown Liu Xiaotong in the past had been wasted!

But how could she get out now?

Lin Yitang tried silently saying “get out” in her mind, and the next second, she was back in her room.

She touched the jade bracelet and silently said “go in” in her mind, then entered the space again.

After coming out again, Lin Yitang was overjoyed. With this space, how could she not make money?

But she wondered if she could plant things in the space’s land, and what would be different about the crops. She would have to try it another day!

Just as Lin Yitang was thinking this, she suddenly smelled a musty odor coming from her body.

She looked down and found a layer of mud-like substance on her skin.

So the spring water she had drunk in the space could help the body detoxify and improve its constitution?

Lin Yitang wasn’t surprised. After all, the space was so magical, the spring water couldn’t be ordinary.

She couldn’t stand the smell on her body, so she quickly took a shower.

When she washed off the mud, she found her skin was whiter and smoother, and even some small spots on her face had disappeared, her complexion becoming more rosy.

Lin Yitang couldn’t help but touch her face, quickly dried her hair, and braided it into a braid.

At this moment, Aunt Zhang called from downstairs that dinner was ready.

Lin Yitang opened the door and went downstairs, just bumping into Yu Jingchuan, causing the smile on her face to vanish instantly.

Yu Jingchuan’s gaze fell on her bright and clear face. He didn’t speak to Lin Yitang, but a dark look flashed in his eyes.

Lin Yitang hadn’t completely settled down yet.  She had dressed up so beautifully at night to seduce him.

It seemed he should talk to his parents about this.

Yu Jingchuan’s ignoring her actually relieved Lin Yitang.  She had drugged him, which was wrong, and she needed to move out as soon as possible.

Only Chu Peilan was at the dinner table downstairs. Yu Jianguo was away for a while, Yu Jingchuan’s younger brother Yu Congnan was in the air force and rarely came home, and the youngest sister Yu Chengyu was in college and only came home on weekends.

So usually only Lin Yitang and Chu Peilan were at home.

Lin Yitang sat next to Chu Peilan and served her chicken soup.

Just as they were about to start eating, someone suddenly arrived. Looking towards the door, it was Xia Zhuxin.

Upon seeing this person, Lin Yitang’s face instantly turned cold and pale. Her hands clenched at her sides. She would never forget Xia Zhuxin’s smile before her death in her past life.

She didn’t believe her death was an accident. Xia Zhuxin had deliberately killed her!

One life and two deaths, it was an unforgivable hatred! How could she not get revenge this life!

Xia Zhuxin smiled and greeted Chu Peilan, “Aunt Chu, I heard your legs haven’t been feeling well these past few days.

I thought I’d come over after work to check on you. Am I disturbing your dinner?”

Chu Peilan warmly greeted her, “No, you can join us for dinner!”

Xia Zhuxin didn’t stand on ceremony and sat directly next to Yu Jingchuan, facing Lin Yitang.

She first smiled and greeted Lin Yitang, then hesitantly asked, “Yitang, do you remember the watch I left in the living room last time? It was a gift from Jingchuan, but I can’t find it when I got home.

Did you see it?”

Lin Yitang looked at Xia Zhuxin across from her, a cold smile in her heart.

This had happened in her past life. Xia Zhuxin’s acting was superb, almost everyone believed she had stolen the watch, and she couldn’t defend herself.

This time, she wouldn’t be foolish enough to let Xia Zhuxin wrongly accuse her. She would expose Xia Zhuxin’s true colors!
