Back to the Disaster: Scumbag Dad and Stepmom Step Aside Chapter 25: The Chainsaw Strikes

“Being able to make you obedient and subdued, isn’t that pretty impressive?”

Ma Tian was thoroughly dealt with by Yu Xifeng and ended up utterly humiliated.

His hatred toward Yu Xifeng was mixed with lust. In the past few days, with his body aching, Ma Tian had been fantasizing about pinning Yu Xifeng down and abusing her.

Yuan Ge from the underworld came to him asking about the kayak.

Kayaks were hard to get—only big shots had them.

Ma Tian and Yuan Ge quickly reached an agreement.

“You’ve got to take it one bite at a time. Don’t worry, she’s not going anywhere,” Yuan Ge patted Ma Tian’s shoulder. “Your wife’s been pregnant for quite a while, right? Let Xu Yun give you some meat today.”

Ma Tian hurriedly said, “Thanks, Yuan Ge.”

Yu Xifeng overheard them talking about the supermarket through the surveillance and recalled the person in her space who had gone cold.

Since so many lives were lost at the supermarket, the authorities probably wouldn’t connect it to her anytime soon.

She felt much more relaxed.

As for the others, Yu Xifeng weighed her dagger thoughtfully.

Inviting these three people into her space as guests was possible, but with more people, things would get complicated later.

With that in mind, Yu Xifeng switched to the chainsaw and decided to scare them today.

No rush. They couldn’t escape.

Inside the house, Sister Yun pushed the sofa and table to block the door, trembling in fear.

She called the police immediately, but the phone line wouldn’t connect.

It seemed like a disconnected number.

Feeling the door lock loosen, Sister Yun felt despair wash over her.

Determined, she pushed all the food supplies out onto the balcony, thinking that if the door was broken down, she would throw the food off the balcony.

Might as well all die together!

Hu Qiangyong was the first to open the door, holding a kitchen knife. “What are you doing?”

The three men, seeing Hu Qiangyong’s sturdiness, were somewhat intimidated.

No matter what they said, these three had never faced murder charges and did not dare risk their lives.

One of them grit his teeth and warned, “I advise you not to interfere.”

“Damn it! You hide so tightly, like ghosts or demons, yet still dare to lecture your grandpa,” Hu Qiangyong cursed harshly.

Yuan Ge lifted his eyes, his gaze cold and ruthless. Drawing a five-centimeter-long knife from his waist, he spat and said, “No respect for favors.”

The knife was about to stab into Hu Qiangyong’s belly.

Yu Xifeng opened the door and pulled the chainsaw’s trigger.

Just a slight touch on the floor tiles, the ringing roar assaulted their eardrums, completely overpowering all other sounds.

The grinding noise of metal teeth biting into hard stone sent chills down their spines.

As Yu Xifeng dragged the chainsaw along, a long crack appeared on the floor tiles.

If it touched a person’s body, it would tear flesh to pieces.

Yuan Ge spun his knife and looked toward Yu Xifeng. Seeing this, his pupils shrank, and sweat slipped from his palms.

Ma Tian and another man took two steps back, pressed against a drafty window, clearly frightened.

Ma Tian swallowed hard and shouted, “Don’t come closer!”

Yu Xifeng tilted her head and smiled.

She was beautiful; that smile was like melting snow and ice—something that should have captivated anyone.

But she casually handled the chainsaw, her eyes curved.

A madwoman.

A complete and utter madwoman.

Yuan Ge thought.

Yu Xifeng raised her hand high without hesitation, pressing the chainsaw down toward Yuan Ge’s head.

The horizontal blade made Yuan Ge hesitate; he was too stunned to react.

Yuan Ge pulled Ma Tian in front of him, and at that moment, the third man escaped.

Damn it, today’s lost cause.

Yu Xifeng slightly raised her wrist, and the chainsaw shredded the hat on Ma Tian’s forehead to pieces.

The vibration nearly shattered Ma Tian’s liver and gallbladder.

“Help,” he weakly called out.

Yu Xifeng’s voice was barely audible: “I really… have tolerated you for too long.”

In his previous life, Ma Tian had gathered a gang to act tyrannically in the hallway, using food and women in the community to curry favor with the outside gangs.

Tan Wanwan, who lived in the same unit, was the first victim.

Also because of him, in the previous life, Yu Xifeng hadn’t stayed long in that community.

Sister Yun, trembling, opened the door tightly gripping a kitchen knife. Hu Qiangyong called out to Yu Xifeng, “Girl, don’t be impulsive.”

Yu Xifeng clicked her tongue.

Hu Qiangyong and Sister Yun couldn’t be called kindhearted, but at least they had boundaries.

Even in this situation, they had no concept of killing.

For better or worse.

Yu Xifeng hadn’t planned to settle everything today anyway.

Just a scare.

A foul stench came from under Ma Tian’s belly.

Not much courage here—at best, he was a low-level thug.

Yu Xifeng stopped the chainsaw and yanked off Ma Tian’s head covering.

The residents of the building, including Hu Qiangyong and Sister Yun, recognized Ma Tian immediately, shocked at first, then filled with anger.

“You really can’t tell a man by his face—never thought you could do something like this,” Hu Qiangyong said.

Sister Yun’s eyes were bloodshot with hatred.

Ma Tian struggled to get up and run but was knocked down by Hu Qiangyong.

Sister Yun restrained herself from using the knife but grabbed a pair of high heels from the shoe rack and smashed the heels hard, leaving bloody marks.

Ma Tian’s face was battered by Sister Yun’s blows. “It’s not me! I just followed them here, really not me!”

“If you hadn’t led the way, they wouldn’t have found my door!”

Sister Yun struck hard. Someone in the hallway notified Chen Caifeng, who came up quickly, one hand on her belly, the other supporting Tan Wanwan.

“You murdered someone! You slut seduced my husband and now dare to kill to cover it up!”

Even with all of Yu Xifeng’s two lifetimes combined, she rarely saw anyone as unreasonable as Chen Caifeng.

Judging by her expression, she truly believed Sister Yun had seduced Ma Tian.

Chen Caifeng defended her husband and looked at Yu Xifeng with suspicion.

She had gotten thinner, her huge belly alarming.

Hu Qiangyong was unfazed by Yuan Ge holding the knife, but he looked uneasy facing Chen Caifeng.

Sister Yun glanced at the empty space and pressed a high heel hard against Ma Tian’s lower abdomen. With his screams echoing, she raised her hair.

“Your husband is just a maggot in the toilet. Even looking at him disgusts me.”

Chen Caifeng wailed miserably as people gathered tightly around, blocking the hallway.

Tan Wanwan was pushed to the side and watched Chen Caifeng cry with cold eyes, feeling a secret satisfaction.

When she saw Yu Xifeng standing unharmed to the side, Tan Wanwan felt a strange disappointment.

Under the same roof, Tan Wanwan lived in the living room, so she couldn’t miss Ma Tian’s movements.

Yuan Ge had come to their home several times.

Every time his gaze was fixed on her, Tan Wanwan felt a chill in her heart.

They discussed things in the master bedroom. Familiar with her home, Tan Wanwan quietly moved to the balcony behind the bedroom. The balcony and the master bedroom were separated only by a wall. She knew that inside this wall was an opening for the air conditioner pipe.

Tan Wanwan overheard them mention the 15th floor.

The voices were low, but she caught a few words:

“Beauty,” “kayak,” “been to the supermarket.”

Hearing this, Tan Wanwan breathed a sigh of relief—it wasn’t aimed at her.
