BECAUSE YOU ARE UGLY
Because you are ugly Chapter 10

46

The young handsome guy found his days incredibly boring, coupled with a certain restlessness stirring in his heart.

He packed his bags, grabbed his passport and visa, and flew to the country where his roommate was.

His original intention was to travel and surprise his roommate.

Although he worried that acting on his own might become a burden to his roommate, he still chose to be impulsive.

After all, he missed his roommate too much.

Once he got off the plane and exited the airport, he hailed a taxi.

But just as he got out of the car, a motorcycle snatched his bag, which contained all his documents, money, and even his phone.

The young handsome guy stood there with a suitcase that held nothing but his clothes, looking utterly dumbfounded.

“What if you get robbed somewhere else, lose all your money, and end up on the streets, heartbroken? At least remember my number, and I can find you.”

His roommate’s words seemed to echo in his mind.

It turned out to be eerily prophetic.

Could it be this uncanny?

The young handsome guy was on the verge of tears.

He exchanged his foreign currency and found a payphone.

Swallowing hard, he felt both nervous and hopeful, praying that his roommate’s phone number was still in use abroad.

The dialing tone didn’t ring for long before someone picked up: “Hello.”

It was his roommate’s lazy voice.

Just hearing that voice made the young handsome guy feel a rush of excitement.

His heart was bubbling with anticipation.

Nervously, he spoke up: “It’s me…”

The young handsome guy obediently found a place to sit and daydream, his suitcase resting beside him.

His roommate had the taxi circle around and around before finally locating him, the little snail.

The little snail’s face was frozen red, with snot running down his nose.

His roommate thought to himself.

He looked even uglier.

Yet, he couldn’t help but smile.

Why was he suddenly so happy? Had he gone crazy?

The young handsome guy watched as his roommate walked toward him.

Just like before, or perhaps like every time in the past.

Whenever something happened, it was always his roommate who found him.

Instinctively, the young handsome guy didn’t care about the unspoken tension or whether he was causing trouble for his roommate.

Heat rushed to his head.

He ran over and hugged his roommate, burying his face into the crook of his neck.

His cold snot smeared all over his roommate’s warm neck.

His roommate was completely taken aback.

He poked the young handsome guy’s forehead and pushed him away with a look of disdain: “You’re not about to cry, are you?”

The young handsome guy blinked, blinking away the warmth welling up in his eyes.

“No, I’m not going to cry.”

“Don’t cry…it’ll make you look even uglier.”

“…”

Seeing the young handsome guy look down and fall silent, his roommate impatiently clicked his tongue, as if in disdain, and pressed the young handsome guy’s head into his neck: “Even though you’re ugly, who told me I liked you?”

The young handsome guy was stunned. Realizing what was said, he struggled to break free from his roommate’s embrace.

But his roommate wouldn’t let go, tightening his grip to keep the young handsome guy from seeing his flushed face.

“Don’t move! Let me hold you! Otherwise, I’ll leave you here.”

“Are you blushing?”

“No, I’m not!”

“Your ears are red. I can see it.”

“Shut up!”
