The young handsome guy obediently walked over to his roommate and only then noticed that the plastic bag he was carrying contained instant noodles.
He couldn’t help but ask, “Is this all you’re eating?”
The roommate seemed a bit dazed, as if he hadn’t heard what he said.
The young handsome guy had to grab his hand to get his attention. “Is this really all you’re eating?”
The roommate snapped back to reality. “What’s wrong with this? It’s got color, aroma, and flavor.”
“Didn’t I tell you to order takeout?”
“The minimum order is too expensive, and there’s too much food.” I don’t want to eat alone.
The roommate didn’t quite say the last part out loud.
Too sentimental.
The young handsome guy tugged at him, trying to head in the opposite direction toward the supermarket.
But the roommate grabbed him by the back of his collar and pulled him back. “Alright, I just wanted to change things up a bit. Don’t overthink it, let’s hurry upstairs. Besides, you’re still injured. Why make it harder on yourself?”
The roommate’s cooking skills were lacking. He could only manage simple dishes like cutting bread, spreading butter, or frying an egg.
He couldn’t handle anything more complicated.
The young handsome guy knew that they could only enjoy good food if he recovered quickly.
Otherwise, he could only rely on takeout to get by.
Who would have thought that after just one day away, the roommate wouldn’t even order takeout, opting for instant noodles instead?
How pitiful.
And just now, he couldn’t tell what the roommate felt about that scene. Was he jealous, or did he show no change in emotion at all?
The young handsome guy couldn’t figure it out for now; he could only watch the roommate’s back as he walked ahead, pondering over it carefully.

Both of them were lost in their thoughts when the roommate stumbled while walking, and the young handsome guy didn’t have time to catch him.
His heart skipped a beat as he rushed to the roommate’s side and helped him up. “Are you okay? What happened?”
The roommate lowered his head and suddenly grasped the young handsome guy’s hand.
Surprised, the young handsome guy looked at the roommate’s knuckles, which were turning white from the pressure, before raising his gaze back.
The roommate’s expression was serious, his eyes complex, and his brows tightly furrowed.
His expression was complex, and his brows were tightly knitted.
After a moment of uncertainty, he asked, “Hey, that guy from just now, he’s not your boyfriend, right?”
In that instant, a “whoosh bang bang bang~” sound echoed from somewhere.
The young handsome guy, feeling dazed, thought it sounded like the noise of fireworks blooming.
But only he could hear it.
The sound of fireworks igniting in his heart.

The young handsome guy tried hard not to laugh.
After a long time, he really couldn’t hold it back anymore.
He burst out laughing.
His roommate, feeling embarrassed and angry, seemed like he had something exposed.
He immediately shook off the hand that was supporting him and said, “Even if he is, it’s none of my business! I’m just worried you’ll get deceived! That guy is tall and big! And he’s dark-skinned! He must be a bad person!”
“How could that be? He’s very good at cooking.”
“…Well, that doesn’t mean he’s a good person.”
“And he’s really good at housework.”
“…”
“He’s also very nice. If he hadn’t pulled me back just now, I would have almost been brushed by that electric scooter.”
“Oh.”
“By the way, did I tell you? I saw my cousin today. He’s living with my cousin.”
The roommate stopped in his tracks and suddenly turned around with a smirk that was neither a smile nor a frown. “I know, but why are you explaining so much? It’s not like I really want to know.”
“…”
Can’t you just be a little less arrogant?

Some time had passed.
The young handsome guy still hadn’t found a good opportunity to confess his feelings.
Or rather, the only time he had mustered the courage to confess ended up being a swing and a miss, leaving him feeling utterly disappointed.
Meanwhile, his roommate had recently settled down and no longer frequented nightclubs to chase after beauties.
Otherwise, the young handsome guy might really have taken the only key from home and eloped.
Let the roommate experience what it feels like to have no one guarding the house and no one to open the door for him.
The young handsome guy’s mind was racing with ideas.
Who knew the roommate wouldn’t even need anyone to open the door for him?
His mentor assigned a project that required the roommate to go abroad with his team members.
The project duration was one month.

The young handsome guy watched TV alone.
He brushed his teeth alone.
He ate meals alone.
He slept alone.
He read books alone in the room.
Even speaking was met with an empty echo.
It was truly too lonely.
And he missed that person terribly.
