Becoming the Lover of the Evil God
Becoming the Lover of the Evil God Chapter 6: First Encounter

Su Tangyin began experiencing hallucinations on the seventh day after marrying Jing Bo.

At that time, they had just returned from their honeymoon. Jing Bo’s work was very busy, and they returned home on the sixth night.

The newlyweds were deeply in love. After a year of passionate dating, they finally got married, and they were both incredibly excited. Their intimate activities were more frequent than when they first started living together.

On the night they returned home, although they were very tired, Jing Bo still insisted on being intimate.

Su Tangyin had had some wine, and the alcohol had clouded her judgment, making her more uninhibited than usual.

She rarely said sweet nothings before, but that night, under the influence of alcohol, she held Jing Bo’s shoulders and, looking at their wedding photo on the wall, filled her heart with love and whispered countless words in his ear.

Things she would never say, no matter how much Jing Bo pleaded, she said that night, holding him close.

— “I like you, Ah Jing.”

— “I want to be with you forever, Ah Jing.”

— “I love you the most, Ah Jing.”

Jing Bo was even more excited that night than their first time, holding her and repeating sweet nothings over and over.

— “I like you, baby.”

— “I want to be with you forever, baby.”

— “I love you the most, baby.”

Baby, baby, baby.

He called her that countless times, too many to count.

They didn’t fall asleep until the early hours of the morning.

In her sleep, something seemed to be tightly wrapping around her, making it hard to breathe, and she shivered with cold, curling into her husband’s embrace.

Her husband’s clear voice whispered in her ear, his large hand gently and warmly patting her back.

“Baby, my baby.”

“Mine, mine.”

Su Tangyin tried to wake up many times, but there seemed to be a veil in front of her eyes, making it impossible to break through, and her eyelids were too heavy to lift.

The next morning, she saw a room full of black mist.

At that moment, Su Tangyin thought she was still dreaming.

The black mist filled the entire room, and something seemed to be writhing in the mist, with a bluish light that resembled the spirits of the night.

She heard a buzzing sound, and the restraint around her waist tightened, making it hard to breathe.

A tentacle trembled and slowly crept toward her neck.

And that tentacle.

It could speak.

It said, “Baby.”

The voice was hollow and distant, sounding about seventy percent like Jing Bo’s.

Su Tangyin was so terrified she wanted to scream, but before the sound could escape her lips, the black mist vanished, and the tentacle disappeared in the blink of an eye.

She really thought it was just a dream.

Jing Bo leaned in to kiss her, his voice still groggy from sleep.

“Baby, what are you looking at?” He touched her forehead, then her cheek and jaw, feeling the cold sweat.

“What’s wrong? Why are you sweating so much?”

Jing Bo seemed genuinely confused. They had just gotten married, and their relationship was very strong. Su Tangyin had unconditional trust in him.

She trembled in his embrace and told him about the scene she had just witnessed. Jing Bo sat up, holding her, and gently patted her back to comfort her.

“It’s okay, baby. It was just a dream, nothing to worry about.”

“… Just a dream?”

“Just a dream. Don’t be afraid, I’m here with you.”

Su Tangyin believed him.

After all, she was a materialist, having studied for so many years. How could such an irrational thing be possible?

But now, looking back, her abnormalities started from that moment.

At home, no matter what she did, she often felt a chill on her back, as if something was trying to touch her.

A trembling hand would lift her pants leg, or curl a strand of her hair, or more boldly, touch her skin with a cold sensation.

But when she felt the cold touch and turned around with her heart racing…

She only saw Jing Bo.

Sitting on the sofa, working on his tablet. Jing Bo, washing dishes behind her. Jing Bo, cooking in the kitchen. Various Jing Bos.

Jing Bo would notice her gaze and smile, turning to ask her, “Baby, what’s wrong?”

At first, Su Tangyin really thought she was having hallucinations due to stress.

But more and more abnormalities appeared.

She gradually realized something was wrong.

Her husband seemed to have changed a lot.

They had been intimate for some time before they lived together. Jing Bo was a normal man with his own needs, and so was she. He had already proposed to her, and their wedding was approaching soon.

Dr. Jing was a gentle man, always kind and never angry, and he was very popular.

Dr. Jing was very considerate and gentle to Su Tangyin, whether in taking care of her daily life or in their intimate moments. He rarely acted forcefully and always paid attention to her experience.

Su Tangyin enjoyed being intimate with him, feeling a deep sense of intimacy, and Jing Bo always indulged her.

But after that night, Jing Bo became more frequent in his demands. Except when she was unwell, he almost insisted every day.

When Su Tangyin was on a business trip or busy at the lab and didn’t come home, Jing Bo didn’t get angry, but he would make up for it when she returned.

In the past, when she cried, he would slow down, gently kiss her, and softly console her.

But later, he still kissed her and consoled her, but his actions became increasingly forceful.

Dr. Jing had really changed a lot.

What made Su Tangyin even more uneasy was that the things she saw that night began to appear frequently.

She saw the black mist more than once, with something writhing in it, and they even spoke, calling her over and over.

“Baby.”

Only Jing Bo called her baby.

Why did these things always appear when Jing Bo was nearby?

Why has Jing Bo changed so much?

Why did she often see those non-human things, and why did they sound so much like Jing Bo?

Su Tangyin couldn’t explain these things.

Jing Bo said she was having hallucinations, which were common in psychological disorders, and suggested she get some rest.

Her friends and colleagues said the same.

Everyone said the same.

But was it really that simple?

Su Tangyin felt that this home might not be the home she thought it was.

She looked up at her beloved husband and asked, “Ah Jing, I feel like there’s someone else in this house.”

Su Tangyin carefully observed Jing Bo’s expression.

Drops of water clung to his black hair, sliding down his forehead, past his straight eyebrows and long lashes, hanging on his lashes, about to fall.

But he just looked at Su Tangyin quietly, without any other movement.

She couldn’t tell what he was thinking.

They didn’t speak for a long time, with Su Tangyin still pinned beneath him.

Jing Bo suddenly reached out and touched her cheek, and Su Tangyin didn’t avoid him.

Her thoughts were a bit off.

Why did Jing Bo’s hand feel so inconsistent in temperature?

“Baby.”

He suddenly spoke.

Su Tangyin responded with a “Mm,” and wrapped her arms around his forearm. “Ah Jing, do you believe me?”

Why was there no trace of surprise on Jing Bo’s face?

But she had a strong intuition that her hallucinations might be related to Jing Bo. Otherwise, how could there be so many coincidences?

Jing Bo’s hand touched her forehead again. His body temperature was low, and the sensation on her forehead was very clear.

“Baby, are you sick?”

Su Tangyin: “…”

“Do you want me to take you to the doctor tomorrow?” Jing Bo kissed her lips and then pressed his forehead against hers. “Are your hallucinations still severe? You seem to be tired and distracted lately. If you’re too tired, just rest. I can contact the lab for you.”

Su Tangyin: “… It’s fine.”

She pulled away from Jing Bo’s hand, slipped out from under him, and nimbly pulled the covers over her, lying down and facing away from him, pulling the covers up to her nose.

Su Tangyin’s voice was muffled. “It’s fine, let’s go to sleep.”

She couldn’t get any answers from him. This was too abnormal. Jing Bo, who had studied for so many years and was a psychologist, not thinking she was crazy was already a good thing.

Su Tangyin didn’t hear any movement behind her. Her mind was in chaos, with countless thoughts tangling together, making her feel extremely uncomfortable.

Jing Bo seemed to watch her for a while. Su Tangyin could feel his gaze on her back, and a woman’s intuition was always accurate.

Su Tangyin now felt some resistance to seeing him. Every time she saw him, she thought of those strange things.

She didn’t speak, and Jing Bo didn’t watch her for too long.

The bed creaked as Jing Bo got up, opened the door, and closed it, followed by the faint sound of a hairdryer from the living room.

Su Tangyin opened her eyes and faced the photo frame on the bedside table.

She was wearing a white dress, her black hair half-draped over her shoulders, half-squatting on the ground, holding a fish intestine to feed a cat, looking up at the young man standing in front of her.

Her profile was beautiful, and from the side, her red lips were slightly parted, her bright eyes round, looking surprised.

The young man in front of her was tall and straight, wearing a light blue shirt over a white T-shirt and loose jeans, a typical college student look. At that time, Jing Bo had just graduated.

He held a bowl of cat food and looked down at her, who was squatting to feed the cat.

That was their first meeting. She was feeding the cat, and Jing Bo, who had just arrived in C City, suddenly appeared beside her and handed her a bowl of cat food.

“Miss, I think they like this.”

Her friend, who had gone to buy milk for the cats, returned and saw this scene. They looked very well-matched, and her friend took this photo.

Su Tangyin kept this photo when she got home.

She thought it was just a chance encounter, but after that, they met countless times.

Jing Bo started pursuing her.

The sound in the living room disappeared, the door opened, and Jing Bo walked in quietly, turned off the light, and the bedroom fell into darkness.

The bed sank slightly as he got in, pulled back the covers, and lay down.

He used a different shower gel than Su Tangyin, a light and fresh pine scent, which now filled the air, and his broad embrace pressed against her back, and he turned to pull her into his arms.

His arm wrapped around Su Tangyin’s waist, and he always liked to sleep with her in his arms.

Their height difference was significant, and Jing Bo could completely envelop her in his embrace.

Su Tangyin didn’t struggle.

She closed her eyes and tried to fall asleep. Despite Jing Bo’s frequent demands, he didn’t keep her up late at night, and Dr. Jing’s schedule was relatively regular.

The room was too dark and too quiet, so quiet that she could hear each other’s breathing and heartbeats.

Sleep came quickly, the fresh pine scent lingering in her nostrils, like a sleep aid, and Su Tangyin’s tense nerves gradually relaxed. Her breathing became regular, and her consciousness drifted into a dream.

Jing Bo’s hand still rested on her side.

Feeling that the person in his arms was asleep, Jing Bo propped himself up on his arms, turned the person sleeping on her back, and she lay flat under him, his arms on either side of her.

The sleeping person was obedient, eyes tightly closed, long lashes resting on her eyelids, and her throat producing mucus as he struggled to suppress his desire.

Tentacles danced and intertwined behind him, multiplying and gradually filling the entire room.

Jing Bo, as usual, wrapped his arms around her waist and kissed her lips, exchanging saliva.

The tentacles tightly bound her, each one glowing with a blue light, casting a flickering glow on the black curtains.

If Su Tangyin were to wake up at that moment, she would first see a pair of deep blue eyes, followed by the room filled with dancing tentacles, colorful and mysterious, like ancient jellyfish.

The tentacles intertwined in a pattern, forming a cocoon around the two of them.

The monster needed no rest.

The monster wanted to spend all its time with its lover.

“Baby.”

The hollow voice echoed in the room.

“Soon.”
