Chapter 15
The loft is located inside a spire-shaped building in the castle.
The conical space is very cramped. Except for the center where people can barely stand, the entire circle around it is extremely narrow. The skylight that Ruan Jiaxiu and the others came in through was opened on the oblique side wall.
At this time, the skylight was supported and firmly held by bed boards, tables, candlesticks and other sundries, and tied tightly with Zhan Jingzhi’s rope.
The high-footed crystal cup was placed on the dark ground.
Lu Renzhi rolled up his sleeves and exposed his arms. He took the short knife and closed his eyes and cut it… The bright red blood flowed down his arm and into the cup.
Li Lingli bit her lip and took the short knife, and did the same action without hesitation.
The dark red liquid accumulated in half a cup. Xia Tianqing, who was standing by, took the cowhide scroll and looked at it carefully.
Zhan Jingzhi and Ruan Jiaxiu returned to the loft, reached out to buckle the wooden board at the entrance and exit, and moved the washbasin from the Props to press on it.
At this point, the upper and lower passages have been cut off.
“How is it?” Ruan Jiaxiu came over with sweat on her face. “How long will it take to draw the formation diagram…
“Her voice stopped abruptly when she saw the content of the scroll.
The formation diagram is in line with the shape that everyone usually imagines. It is circular in shape, and the interior is composed of layers of messy and interconnected spells. It is not easy to draw.
When Zhan Jingzhi came over and saw it, he even felt dizzy at first sight.
The two were dumbfounded.
This difficulty is about the same as asking a kindergarten child to draw a sketch.
Xia Tianqing reached out her hand expressionlessly and dipped it in the blood in the crystal cup. With herself as the center point, she drew a complete circle around.
It started.
Zhan Jingzhi and Ruan Jiaxiu suppressed their worries, immediately stepped back, and stood at the entrance to guard the door.
Lu Renzhi and Li Lingli also shrank to a pile of obstructions under the skylight, leaving the central space completely for Xia Tianqing.
Xia Tianqing stared at the formation diagram and copied the first alien spell.
Outside the castle.
At the edge of the dead woods, Aqir stood gloomily in the mist.
White-robed wizards poured out from different directions and reported cautiously:
“Lord Archer, we have checked in all directions… We didn’t see their figures.” The
long-bearded wizard’s face was livid, and he questioned: “There is a formation outside the dead woods, which will be triggered once you go out of bounds. They can’t cross it silently.”
There was a storm in Archer’s voice: “Just now, who was shouting on the third floor, saying that they saw someone?”
The long-bearded wizard shouted: “The people who just checked the third floor, stand up!” More
than a dozen white-robed wizards hurried out to answer.
“It wasn’t me!”
“It wasn’t me either…”
“That person was shouting in Lord Archer’s house.”
“I was surprised at the time. We had already checked Lord Archer’s room, how could someone go in…”
“But I was in a hurry to come down to catch people, so I didn’t have time to confirm…”
Archer turned around and looked at the dark castle standing eerily.
“They are still inside…”
“Search again!”
Aqir’s hoarse voice filled with anger was more chilling and creepy than the ghosts. “Dig three feet deep into the ground to catch them!”
The white-robed wizards were silent, like a group of termites driven away by boiling water, and immediately ran into the castle.
The noisy sounds spread layer by layer, the bedding in each room was torn apart, every corner was moved, and every inch of space was checked.
In the attic, the players listened to the faint noise and sweat on their foreheads.
The four people suppressed their rapid breathing, held their breath and looked at Xia Tianqing, their pupils shrank and trembled.
Xia Tianqing dipped her hands in blood, and her movements were as slow as a snail.
…There was nothing they could do about it. They all knew that compared to speed, she had to ensure that these winding and connected lines could not make mistakes, otherwise, all the previous efforts would be wasted.
The four onlookers looked at the circle with only a small part of the formation diagram filled in. Their hearts felt as if they were being burned by a stick on the fire…
They didn’t dare to say a word, for fear of disturbing Xia Tianqing. If they made a mistake, everyone would be doomed.
Of course, what they didn’t know was that the notes of Anxiety Value that kept popping up above their heads were dancing wildly in Xia Tianqing’s peripheral vision like popping candy.
But these interference items had no effect on Xia Tianqing at all.
Her attention switched back and forth between the scroll and the ground. The beginning, turning and interface of each line were firmly engraved in her mind and then copied as they were.
The white-robed wizards searched all the rooms, regrouped, and went to unfrequented places such as dungeons, stables, and storage rooms. One team of white-robed wizards went up the fifth floor and came to the roof.
A white-robed wizard followed the roof and carefully climbed to the edge of the pointed attic. He stepped on the steep slope and looked inside through the skylight… His eyes paused.
A row of wooden boards inside covered the skylight tightly, and the scene inside could not be seen clearly.
Was there anything piled up in this attic before?
The white-robed wizard frowned… No, the things in the castle had been burned down long ago, and such a complete wooden board could not exist at all.
It looks like… a bed board? Bed boards and furniture were filled in when the wizards moved in not long ago!
“Here!”
The white-robed wizard screamed, “Those people are hiding in the attic!
“Under the skylight of the attic, Lu Renzhi and Li Lingli’s already pale faces instantly turned pale with fear.
“Hold steady.
“Zhan Jingzhi whispered, looking at Xia Tianqing who was still drawing,
“Follow the original plan, try your best to get time.”
That being said, he and Ruan Jiaxiu were also as if they were facing a formidable enemy. Both of them pressed their entire bodies against the sink that blocked the exit, their fingertips turning white from exerting so much force.
A quarter of the formation diagram had been completed.
Xia Tianqing’s eyes grew sharper, and apart from the intertwining lines, there was nothing else in his eyes and mind.
Following the message from the white-robed wizard, the hiding places of several players were quickly targeted by all wizards.
Archer and the long-bearded wizard stood under the dilapidated spiral staircase, looking up at a white-robed wizard who stopped halfway up and bowed to report: “Lord Archer, the staircase planks above have been removed.”
“Then find boards to lay on them! Do I need to teach you this?” the long-bearded wizard scolded.
“Yes!” The white-robed wizard hurried down and took people to find suitable wood.
“You take people up and smash the skylight!” Archer said to the long-bearded wizard.
“Understood.”
The long-bearded man took the order and led his men away.
Crash in the attic, the sound of glass shattering was heard, and the barrier made of various furniture and objects suddenly shook violently!
Xia Tianqing’s eyebrows were calm, and she didn’t even look at it.
Since blocking the door and delaying were handed over to others, she would not be distracted by this.
Lu Renzhi and Li Lingli looked at each other and gritted their teeth:
“Do it!”
The two took out the bed legs that had been prepared long ago, stepped on the cabinet, and looked out through the gaps in the wooden boards.
Two white-robed men pressed on the skylight frame with one hand and swung a hammer with the other hand clang!
Another large piece of glass shattered.
Lu Renzhi raised his hand and directly removed a wooden board from the bed board covering the skylight.
Li Lingli saw the right time and stabbed out suddenly!
Outside the attic, on the top of the steep cone, the white-robed man with a hammer was stabbed in the chest by a stick. He staggered backward and rolled down the top of the slope!
“Ah”
He screamed and fell, and the rope around his waist tightened, hanging him in the air.
Several white-robed men on the roof hurriedly tightened the ropes in their hands and pulled the man up.
The long-bearded man stared at the slope and snorted coldly.
These players know how to choose a place that is easy to defend and difficult to attack… But, so what?
They can’t hide in there forever, they will be pulled out eventually. It’s just a dying struggle.
At the spiral staircase.
The white-robed men held the heavy branches and went up the spiral escalator. They swung the hammers and quickly nailed down the simple steps, going up step by step.
“Ah”
Just when the white-robed men nailed the three-step board, a shrill scream rang out for no reason!
In the corridor, the dark green flames on the torch stand leapt violently!
The smoke condensed into a clearly defined female face. It rose up from top to bottom and slammed hard into the white-robed wizard who was laying the stairs!
“Ah!”
Two white-robed wizards screamed and tumbled down the spiral wooden staircase, breaking several rotten wooden steps.
“Give me the pen!” Archer raised his hand, and someone immediately stood beside him with a crystal cup and a feather pen.
He raised his hand to draw a spell, and the lines under his pen caused invisible ripples in the air. Invisible forces swirled up and entangled like chains towards the illusory female face.
“Ah”
The face of the vengeful spirit condensed from the smoke let out a shrill scream and suddenly dispersed.
Archer did not stop writing until the spell connected to the wall from the air.
The mysterious texture flashed by, and a whole circle was woven into a web.
The feather pen was thrown into the crystal cup.
Archer ordered: “Continue! I see if it dares to move! “
The white-robed men, holding the wood, rushed up the spiral staircase again, paving the way upwards amid the clanging sounds.
Zhan Jingzhi and Ruan Jiaxiu listened to the noise below and did not dare to leave the entrance at all.
The two men clenched their long sticks in their hands, ready to go.
Dong, dong!
In the attic, Lu Renzhi and Li Lingli leaned against the obstruction, and kept stabbing with the iron sticks in their hands, pushing down the white-robed men who tried to break in through the window.
The two men had fierce eyes and ferocious expressions, and they were aroused by the confrontation.
However, after several rounds of impact, the wooden board blocking the window has become tattered. It is foreseeable that if it continues like this, its gap will only get bigger and bigger until it can no longer be blocked.
Xia Tianqing’s fingertips slid on the dark floor, and the bright red blood soaked and seeped in…
The formation diagram has been completed for the second time . One tenth.
No one noticed that her hands were much faster than before.
With full concentration, those obscure and chaotic lines became familiar in the shortest time. She no longer needed to carefully consider each stroke, and her hands gradually became smoother.
Bang!
Zhan Jingzhi and Ruan Jiaxiu at the entrance suddenly shook, feeling the huge force coming from below.
The wizards’ ladders are coming up!
Under the floor.
The white-robed wizards crowded on the spiral staircase, holding axes and sticks, looking up and slashing and stabbing at the movable planks at the entrance.
Zhan Jingzhi and Ruan Jiaxiu pressed hard on the sink, and their bodies were shaking constantly due to the huge force below.
Zhan Jingzhi gritted his teeth and looked back at Xia Tianqing, with veins on his neck bulging:
“There is less than half of the formation left, hold on!”
Xia Tianqing’s hands were covered with blood.
When she reached into the crystal cup again, her movement paused. The cup was filled with blood.
