Chapter 82: Walking the Dog
He Tingzhou sat with his legs crossed, holding an ice cream cone, looking at her with a relaxed expression. “You’re back.”
“You…” She subconsciously looked around. “How did you get here?”
He Tingzhou took a bite of his ice cream. “To walk the dog.”
Walking the dog from Yanxi to the East Third Ring Road?
There were no dogs around. Shuangxu looked around. “Where’s your dog?”
He said without changing his expression, “I forgot to bring it.”
…He was full of nonsense.
Shuangxu knew why he came.
She couldn’t avoid what was coming. It was better to sleep early than late. Maybe he would lose interest after sleeping and wouldn’t need her anymore.
“Let’s go.” She said and walked into the lobby first, waiting inside.
He Tingzhou sat there leisurely eating his ice cream, ignoring her signals.
Shuangxu was about to burst into flames. Her stare turned into a glare. Finally, she couldn’t hold back and rushed out, grabbing his arm and pulling him up.
He stood up with her strength. Shuangxu dragged him away, and he strolled along, casually throwing an ice cream stick into an artfully designed trash can.
He glanced down at Shuangxu. “You’re in a hurry?”
Shuangxu dragged him into the elevator and said, “My brother has a friend who also lives here. If you sit there openly, it would be bad if someone saw you.”
He said leisurely, “If you didn’t pull me around, who would know I was here to find you?”
“…” Okay, she was being paranoid.
Shuangxu immediately let go of his hand, her face stiff as she stood on the other side of the elevator, refusing to speak to him.
They went upstairs. Shuangxu led him to the door of her house, opened it, and invited him in.
After the door closed, she asked him like she was entertaining a guest. “Do you want some water?”
This house was bought by Shen Yu for Shuangxu. The initial decoration was based on her preferences, showing his care.
She had a large square fish tank, with a magnificent and cold snow mountain landscape inside. Pure white sand, Qinglong Mountain as a fake mountain, and a beam of light shining down from the center, illuminating the snow mountain.
However, such a beautiful fish tank didn’t have a single living creature inside.
He Tingzhou stood at the entrance, his gaze sweeping around the room before returning to her face. “No.”
“Then…”
He Tingzhou had no interest in her house and didn’t take a single step inside. He approached her, cupped her cheek with his palm. Shuangxu swallowed the rest of her words.
He Tingzhou’s palm slid down, covering her slender neck. Shuangxu felt like a prey being strangled, even though his palm was warm and gentle.
He lowered his head, asking her at a very close distance, “What?”
“Nothing.” Shuangxu said.
He Tingzhou used his thumb to lift her chin, forcing her to look up and meet his deep eyes.
“Why didn’t you ask me if I wanted to do it today?”
Shuangxu pursed her lips. “If you want to do it, then do it.”
He Tingzhou chuckled, a hint of playfulness in those cold eyes, and asked her hypocritically, “Do you want to do it?”
Shuangxu naturally replied, “No.”
He didn’t like this answer. He pinched her face, squeezing both sides of her cheeks into a dent. “Say it again.”
“…”
Shuangxu turned her face away, but he turned it back, and his kiss landed.
He Tingzhou was different from his usual dominance and directness. He pried open her teeth, his lips and tongue intertwined tightly with hers. Shuangxu’s oxygen was quickly taken away, her breathing couldn’t keep up with the rhythm.
She didn’t understand why he suddenly changed today. He was so relaxed before, but this time he kissed so deeply and passionately, his clear desire was reflected in this burning kiss.
She had never known that a kiss could make someone’s legs go weak. He kissed her until she couldn’t breathe. Her forearm pressed against his chest, but nothing could stop him.
She couldn’t resist, instinctively calling his name, wanting him to stop. “He Tingzhou…”
He Tingzhou didn’t stop kissing, asking hypocritically, “What’s wrong?”
Shuangxu couldn’t speak, feeling her heart beating out of control.
The doorbell rang, it was either timely or a bummer. The two who were entangled at the entrance stopped.
Shuangxu’s whole body tensed up, hurriedly looking at the intercom.
On the electronic screen, Lu Manman was posing for the camera narcissistically.
“…”
Why was she here?
He Tingzhou didn’t say anything, his eyes narrowed as he stared at the intercom, looking like he wanted to slice it into thin pieces.
No one responded, Lu Manman pressed the button twice more.
Shuangxu was still stunned, not knowing what to do. Lu Manman pinched her voice and said, “Xiao Jiu, open the door, it’s your brother!”
“…………”
He Tingzhou coldly spat out two words of disdain. “Idiot.”
“Open the door, I saw the lights on in your house. Don’t pretend you’re not home! You promised to be good friends with me, don’t go back on your word.” Lu Manman said outside. “You haven’t opened the door for so long, you wouldn’t be hiding someone in the house, would you?”
Shuangxu reacted quickly and pushed He Tingzhou hard. He wasn’t prepared and was pushed away by her.
Shuangxu felt guilty as if she had been caught cheating. Without a word, she pushed him towards the bedroom. “Go hide for a while.”
The Crown Prince, who was interrupted for the second time, was extremely unhappy. His eyes were cold as he looked at her. “Hide? It’s so easy to cut her tongue off.”
“…That’s your cousin.”
“She’s not my cousin. She wouldn’t have lived to this day.”
Shuangxu pushed him into the bedroom and slammed the door shut.
When she opened the door for Lu Manman, she was about to use her phone to call her.
Shuangxu forced herself to calm down. “What are you doing here?”
“To play with you–>>
“”Ding-dong! I bought pizza and beer, and I brought an old movie disc. We can watch and eat together.” Lu Manman raised the pizza in her hand.
Shuangxu held the door with her hand, not meaning to invite her in.
Lu Manman said, using the edge of her hand to chop at Shuangxu’s arm, knocking her hand away. She pouted and said, “Don’t always reject me.”
Shuangxu’s brow was furrowed with worry, thinking about how to get this clingy person to leave.
Lu Manman seemed to be hurt by her attitude. She fell silent for a moment, her expression becoming forlorn, and her voice lowered. “You still don’t want to be friends with me, do you?”
“It’s not convenient today,” Shuangxu tried to remedy the situation. “I’ll treat you to dinner tomorrow.”
