Chapter 94: He Framed Me
Shuangxu woke up a bit late in the morning, she hadn’t heard the alarm clock ringing. She opened her eyes groggily, grabbed her phone and checked the time. With a sudden jolt, she sat up.
She got out of bed, washed up and got dressed. As she walked out of the bedroom, she saw He Tingzhou sitting elegantly in the dining room, his shirt and trousers neatly dressed, his long legs stretched out.
The dining table was filled with food, with a variety of drinks alone.
“Morning,” He Tingzhou said. “Coffee or tea?”
The scene was a bit surreal, Shuangxu thought she hadn’t woken up.
“Coffee.”
“Learned that from your brother?” He Tingzhou picked up the coffee on the table, walked to the island counter sink, and poured it in with a splash. Then he sat back down calmly.
“Chinese stomachs can’t drink coffee, drink tea from now on.”
He was really domineering.
Shuangxu sat down with a grumble and picked up the tea to drink.
He Tingzhou looked refreshed and energetic, not like someone who hadn’t slept all night. Shuangxu bit into a custard bun and observed him for a few moments. “How did you sleep last night?”
He Tingzhou’s lips curled slightly, the smile was ambiguous. “What do you think?”
“…”
Shuangxu suspected that she had eaten her brains out with the custard bun, why did she always feel like he meant something? She simply shut her mouth and stopped asking.
When they went out to work, He Tingzhou went into the elevator with her.
When they reached the underground garage, Shuangxu walked out first. Once she stepped out of the house, the sign of “I’m not familiar with him” was on her head again.
He Tingzhou suddenly pulled her in front of him, like he was playing with a toy, he raised her left forearm and then made her fingers into a V.
Shuangxu was puzzled. “What are you doing?”
He Tingzhou said, “Look ahead.”
Shuangxu looked ahead without understanding, at the same time, a white light flashed in front of her.
Realizing that it was the flash of a camera, she was startled.
“Did you see that car?” He Tingzhou said. “Zheng Zuye’s people have been following you for days, you haven’t noticed?”
A cold feeling like a venomous snake’s tongue crawling up her spine, Shuangxu recalled the past few days, and she hadn’t noticed anything unusual.
She quickly distanced herself from He Tingzhou. “You knew someone was following me, and you were cuddling with me in front of them?”
“If I don’t cuddle with you, they won’t be able to take a single useful picture, they’ll be so inferior when they see their colleagues.” He Tingzhou had the air of a good guy.
Seeing him so relaxed and carefree, the stalkers should have been dealt with by him. Shuangxu frowned. “Why is Zheng Zuye staring at me? His grandfather has already promised that he won’t harass me again.”
Grandpa Zheng was Zheng Zuye’s biggest trump card, so his words had the most weight for Zheng Zuye.
“He doesn’t dare to touch you now because Zheng Jingren, that old man, doesn’t want to clash with the Shen family.” He Tingzhou said casually. “But when he finds out you slept with me, he won’t let you off.”
Actually, Shuangxu could sense a little bit of the antagonism between He Tingzhou and Zheng Zuye.
If there wasn’t a deep hatred, who would kick Zheng Jingren’s grandson into the sea?
If there wasn’t a great hatred, who would dare to scold He Tingzhou, whose mother died in the line of duty, with “Grass your mother”?
He Tingzhou looked at her expression. “Scared?”
Shuangxu said, “Who wouldn’t be afraid of a scumbag like Zheng Zuye?”
“It’s too late to be afraid.” He Tingzhou’s tone was light. “When you came to me, you couldn’t escape.”
“I couldn’t escape even if I didn’t come to you, he’s been lusting after me for a long time.” Shuangxu knew best, whether there was He Tingzhou or not, Zheng Zuye wouldn’t let her go.
He Tingzhou chuckled. “Learn from me.”
He flicked Shuangxu’s head with his finger, it didn’t hurt, it just felt like he was teasing a puppy.
“Don’t worry, they won’t be following you after today.”
Zheng Zuye was drinking outside last night and was still in bed at the hotel when he received the call.
Grandpa Zheng’s voice was extremely serious on the phone. “Get your ass back here right now!”
“You’re so angry early in the morning.”
He complained, but as soon as he hung up the phone, Zheng Zuye pushed the woman in his arms away, put on his clothes and got out of bed to go home.
As soon as he entered the door, Grandpa Zheng saw him in that disheveled state and was furious. He threw a stack of photos in his face.
“I think your brain is sucked dry! What is the military compound, you dare to send people to sneak in and take pictures, are you tired of living or do you think my life is too long?”
Zheng Zuye was also annoyed. “I didn’t send anyone in, can you stop listening to the wind and making rain, accusing me every day?”
“Then where did these photos come from?!”
Zheng Zuye picked up the photos that fell to the ground, suspicious.
Besides the photos at the entrance of the compound, there were also photos inside the compound, the independent house of the He family, and even a frontal photo of He Tingzhou getting out of the car and entering the house…
Zheng Zuye’s face changed.
“Grandpa, I just sent people to follow He, I really didn’t let them go in.”
It was fine to follow him outside, but following him into the military compound, following him to He’s door, that was sensitive.
“Why are you following him? He was kidnapped before, do you know how taboo this is, you dare to let people follow him to He’s door, today his father personally called to question me, he sent people to follow his son, what do you want to do? I ask you what do you want to do?!” The old man was furious, his cane pounding the ground wildly.
“The guards in the compound are so strict, how could they get in? It must be He Tingzhou who did it!” Zheng Zuye couldn’t explain himself now. “Damn it, he framed me!”
“He framed you? I ask you, did you send people?”
“Why don’t you believe me? I sent people, but I’m not stupid, I only let them find a way to sneak into Song Shuangxu’s neighborhood, I didn’t let them sneak into the compound!”
“You still care about that Song Shuangxu!” The old man raised his cane and hit him. “
“How many times have I told you? How many times have I told you! You worthless piece of trash!”
Zheng Zuye ran around the room, kicking the sofa. His father chased after him, slapping him repeatedly. After a few hits, Zheng Zuye clutched his chest and fell back.
The servants, who had been silent, rushed forward in panic. Zheng Zuye, who had already run up the stairs, changed his expression and hurried back down.
“Grandpa!”
The room was in chaos. They sent his grandfather back to his room, called the doctor, and all the members of the Zheng family rushed back. When his grandfather’s condition stabilized, Zheng Zuye knelt in the living room, his face swollen from his father’s slaps.
Before leaving, the doctor repeatedly warned, “Your father is old and can’t handle any more stress. A heart attack is no joke. It’s not always possible to be lucky enough to save him. You absolutely cannot let something like this happen again.”
Zheng Zuye was called to his father’s bedside and lectured, “If you don’t want to anger your grandfather to death, then from now on, you better behave yourself and stop provoking the He family!”
Even though he knew he had been tricked by He Tingzhou, Zheng Zuye could only swallow his anger. “I know.”
