Chapter 8: Hitting a Wall
The scar on her forehead was starting to scab over, what was the point of asking her now?
It would be too late later, when the scab fell off and the scar disappeared, leaving no trace.
She didn’t need his belated concern.
Moreover, she was lying in the hospital, while he was with his new love. It would only hurt more if she told him.
“I accidentally bumped into something.”
“How did you bump into it?” Bo Si looked at her through the rearview mirror, his sharp eyes seemed to see through her.
Sang Tian didn’t look up, her voice flat, “I hit a wall.”
“Are you sure?” Bo Si clearly didn’t believe her.
Sang Tian gave a low “Mm.”
Of course, she had hit a wall, she needed to turn back.
The car stopped, Sang Tian was forcibly carried out of the car by Bo Si. She tried to struggle, but the man’s arms around her were like steel, she could only hurt herself, it had no effect on him.
Soon, she was carried upstairs.
She looked up, but it wasn’t Xi Garden, it was the top floor of a high-end residential complex near her “Good Man” bar.
A sense of surprise flashed through her mind, along with a belly full of questions, “Where is this?”
“Don’t you find Xi Garden too far? This is a house I bought for you, it’s already been transferred to your name.”
“From now on, don’t go to Xi Garden unless you have something to do, just stay here.”
The man was already impatient, he pressed down on her, but Sang Tian had no feelings.
She had disliked the distance to Xi Garden from the first time she went there, and she hadn’t seen him react at all.
She suddenly remembered what she had heard outside Xi Garden that night—You’ll live here from now on.
That’s right, he had given his home to his fiancée, where was there room for her?
What was he trying to do by settling her here?
Enjoy having two women?
That’s right, he had just said, he wasn’t done playing yet.
The person on top of her was hot and burning, but Sang Tian felt cold all over.
Were all men like this?
Whether she was willing or not, whether she wanted to or not, she could still feel it. Bo Si had been busy for a long time, the person underneath him was like wood, no response at all, and her breath was getting colder and colder.
He stopped what he was doing, his eyes swept over the woman’s blank and numb face, his boiling blood suddenly dropped to freezing point, “Not willing?”
“Yes!”
Her voice was quick and forceful, without a hint of hesitation, her stubborn and resolute look was something Bo Si had never seen before.
That wrinkled face was like a withered rose, ugly to death!
What was the point?
He suddenly lost interest and got off of her.
Without the pressure, Sang Tian felt her whole body relax, even her breathing became smoother. But as the man’s distance gradually increased, her chest gradually emptied.
A huge emptiness swept over her, her soul felt as if it had been drained.
She forced herself to sit up, her face cold, “I won’t take the house, don’t look for me unless you have something to do, we’ll just be ordinary uncle and niece.”
They had come in a hurry, and this was the first time they had been here, they hadn’t had time to turn on the heating, the house was as cold as outside.
No, it was even colder than outside, like an ice cellar.
Even the air seemed to be frozen.
Sang Tian didn’t need to look to know how gloomy the man’s face was now.
She didn’t want to look, and she didn’t dare to look.
A rustling sound came, Bo Si had already taken clean clothes from the closet and put them on, he was tying his tie. He was skilled, and he quickly tied a clean and beautiful knot.
The phone rang behind them, their ringtones were the same, Sang Tian thought it was hers, she picked it up and saw that it was Jiang Wantang.
She threw the phone towards Bo Si, with a huff, “Yours.”
The phone was answered, in the silent room, the woman’s gentle voice was inescapable, “Where are you? It’s so cold on the mountain, I want to go back.”
“Wait, I’ll be there soon.” Bo Si dropped a sentence, buttoned his coat, casually grabbed a black coat from the closet and put it on, turned around and left.
He didn’t pause, he didn’t even give her a glance, he was truly heartless.
As the sound of the door closing echoed, she was alone in the huge penthouse, even more empty and desolate. The walls and furniture without warmth were inanimate objects, staying inside was no different from staying in a tomb.
Sang Tian couldn’t stay.
She liked being lively, she liked the hustle and bustle, she hated being alone.
That’s why she opened a bar, lived in the bar, closed the windows every night, listening to the deafening noise seep through the windows, only then could she sleep.
She didn’t need the empty room he gave her.
Sang Tian stood up, grabbed the coat he had thrown on the floor when he came in and walked out. She noticed the open closet with her peripheral vision, and recognized the clothes inside. They had been moved from Xi Garden, several of them were the ones she had bought for him, and there were also some he had chosen for her.
He really planned to live in both places.
Sang Tian pursed her lips, opened the door and left.
Ouyang Heng rushed into the residential complex, carrying a bag in his hand, inside was a long, lilac-colored down jacket.
This was the one Bo Si had asked him to buy at the foot of South Lake Mountain when he saw Sang Tian wrapped up in her coat. But when he got there, he found that they had returned to the house in Xingyue Bay, so he hurried over to deliver it.
He was in a hurry, afraid of delaying the boss and making him angry. Unexpectedly, he bumped into Bo Si who was coming out of the elevator.
The cold severity and low pressure that hit him instantly froze the air around him. Ouyang Heng’s heart skipped a beat, he stopped in his tracks, not daring to breathe, holding his breath and calming himself, afraid of offending the boss.
What was wrong?
He didn’t dare to ask, he could only guess.
After all, he had been with Bo Si for many years, if he didn’t have some ability to read people’s expressions, he would have been replaced long ago. The position of special assistant wouldn’t have been his.
He looked up at the top floor, his heart had a guess.
In all of Jin City, perhaps only Miss Sang could easily stir up Fifth Master Bo’s emotions.
The light clothes in his hand suddenly felt heavy.
Should he deliver the clothes now?
He hesitated, and with a stiff scalp, he cautiously asked, “Mr. Bo, the clothes…”
“Throw them away!” Bo Si didn’t even give him a glance, he strode away, his body enveloped in a chilling aura, as if he could overturn everything around him if he spoke another word.
Ouyang Heng looked at the clothes in his hand, a little regretful. He had been urged by WeChat to hurry and deliver them, and now they were unwanted?
He clicked his tongue, looked up and saw that Bo Si had already walked away, he quickly followed.
As soon as he started the car, Bo Si’s slightly cold voice came from behind, “Go check how the wound on Sang Tian’s forehead happened.”
“Miss Sang got hurt?” Ouyang Heng was shocked, he looked up and saw Bo Si’s dark face in the rearview mirror, he immediately retracted his expression, even his voice became serious and earnest, “I’ll go right away.”
Sang Tian walked out of Xingyue Bay, she realized that it was just a turn, a ten-minute walk to the “Good Man” bar, so she didn’t take a taxi, she walked back along the road.
Her red Audi was still at the foot of South Lake Mountain. She didn’t want to go there either, she would just call one of the staff at her bar to drive it back.
There was still some snow in the flower beds on the side of the road that hadn’t melted, mixed with fallen leaves that hadn’t been swept away by the wind, a desolate scene. Looking up, the branches of the trees were bare, only a few leaves were still hanging on, lonely and desolate.
Like her.
But spring was just around the corner, everything would be fine.
Sang Tian’s nose was red from the cold, she sniffed.
The phone in her bag rang, it was a call from her best friend, Xiao Xiao.
“Where are you? I’m at your bar.”
