Chapter 41: Qin Zhiyi Resigns
Xu Sangluo couldn’t do anything about this deeply rooted ideology.
After all, although private businesses and individual businesses were now open, the state had not issued any specific support policies.
So, before 1990, whether it was private businesses or individual businesses, there was a sense of stealth and uncertainty.
Even those who opened factories or companies were apprehensive.
It wasn’t until after 1990, when support policies came out, that they finally felt relieved.
Not to mention ordinary people.
Entering a factory was almost the lifelong dream of 80% of ordinary people.
It wasn’t until after 1992, when the wave of layoffs began, and large numbers of workers were forced to lose their jobs, and many factories were dissolved, that individual businesses truly flourished.
Now, it was about ten years away from that time.
So, even though working in a brick factory was hard, there were countless people in the brigade who envied Qin Zhiyi’s job.
Even though Xu Sangluo earned more than him, most people still thought Qin Zhiyi’s job was better.
So, she didn’t know why Qin Zhiyi suddenly resigned.
Was he stimulated by the daily income?
She didn’t oppose his resignation.
Her views were different from others. In her eyes, someone like Qin Zhiyi working in a brick factory was a waste.
But this was a personal matter, and she couldn’t say anything.
She didn’t expect him to resign first.
And he did it quietly, without even telling his family.
She didn’t know what to say for a moment.
“Does Qin Mama know?”
Qin Zhiyi replied, “Yes, I told her before, and she agreed.”
Before? That meant it wasn’t a sudden impulse.
And Qin Mama agreed, so she had nothing to say.
She was just worried that Qin Mama would be upset.
“What are your plans?”
She always felt that Qin Zhiyi’s resignation wasn’t just to help with the stall.
Sure enough, she heard him say in a deep voice, “I’m going to cooperate with Liu Boss and start a small repair shop. So, tomorrow I’ll go to the county machinery factory to take a look, and then go to the steel market.”
Xu Sangluo suddenly understood, and then she thought his choice was good.
She was impressed with Qin Zhiyi’s repair and assembly skills.
The tricycle and two sewing machines they had at home were all rebuilt by him using old parts.
With this skill, he shouldn’t be buried in a brick factory.
“Do you have enough money to start the factory? How is the cooperation?”
“I’m only responsible for the technical side, and the profits are
Eight percent.
Xu Sangluo frowned and thought for a moment.
She didn’t know much about repair shops, but she felt that 20/80 was a bit low.
She knew that Qin Zhiyi would get 20%.
“Wouldn’t 20% be a bit low?”
Qin Zhiyi smiled, “It’s okay, there will be more opportunities in the future if it works out.”
Xu Sangluo raised an eyebrow slightly, then nodded.
“That’s true.”
Right now, Qin Zhiyi was at a disadvantage, it was normal for him to get the smaller share.
But if he could use this platform to build his reputation and demonstrate his value, it would be beneficial to him, whether he worked independently or continued to cooperate in the future.
But thinking about two years later, she frowned again.
She was worried that if Qin Zhiyi really got his business going, he would give up on the idea of returning to the army.
She didn’t want to change his future too much because of her, and she didn’t want to accidentally butterfly away a talented officer from the country.
But then she thought, there were still two years.
She should focus on the present.
The next morning, the two of them went out, and Chen Tao was with them.
Qin Zhishu, who was supposed to take a day off, also went back to school to cancel his leave.
Chen Tao was excited to see Xu Sangluo.
He had been wanting to talk to Xu Sangluo about buying vegetables and fruits again.
Unfortunately, Xu Sangluo had been very busy, and he didn’t dare to do anything that would make his family suspicious, so he could only wait.
Fortunately, he finally had a chance to meet up with her again.
Qin Zhiyi had also heard about this, Chen Tao had told him.
He didn’t object, nor did he agree. It was Xu Sangluo’s own business, so it was up to her.
But many of the suggestions and ideas Xu Sangluo gave Chen Tao were also very helpful to him.
So, he would occasionally join in the conversation on the road, asking a few questions.
The three of them chatted as they walked, and soon they arrived in the county.
As usual, they set up their stall at the intersection first, with Chen Tao and Qin Zhiyi watching.
Xu Sangluo went to the supply and marketing cooperative to talk to Manager Fang first.
Fortunately, Manager Fang had also come to work early today. Seeing Xu Sangluo coming, he was very happy.
Yesterday, many people came to the supply and marketing cooperative to inquire about the head flowers.
This gave Manager Fang a little more confidence in the market.
Xu Sangluo brought a price list and a cooperation plan today.
The price list listed the purchase price and retail price of all current products.
Seeing that there was even a purchase price, Manager Fang looked at her meaningfully and smiled, “It seems that Xu Comrade is very confident.”
Xu Sangluo smiled slightly, “Where there is demand, there is a market. Where there is a market, there will be more demand.”
Manager Fang raised an eyebrow in surprise and laughed, “Xu Comrade always surprises me.”
Xu Sangluo just smiled and said nothing.
The cooperation plan was only two pages long, but it was well-organized and could be used as a contract.
When he saw some of the sales suggestions provided, Manager Fang couldn’t help but praise her repeatedly.
After reading it, he was more confident about this cooperation.
They immediately discussed the contract, and by the time it was all done, two hours had passed.
Chen Tao and Qin Zhiyi were already waiting at the entrance of the supply and marketing cooperative with their cart.
In the morning, they didn’t know if it was because everyone had already bought something, or because the two tall and strong men were standing there, making people afraid to approach.
In any case, they hadn’t sold even a hundred pieces, making the two of them feel a little uneasy and self-doubting.
Fortunately, after Xu Sangluo and Manager Fang signed the contract, the rest of the goods were sent to the supply and marketing cooperative.
They brought more today than yesterday, 3105 pieces.
Manager Fang hadn’t seen them sell out their goods, so he wasn’t sure about the sales situation of these three thousand pieces, and he didn’t think it was a small number.
Xu Sangluo didn’t continue to look for other supply and marketing cooperatives or department stores to talk to.
It was all talk at this point. Once the Chunsheng Supply and Marketing Cooperative saw results, there would be plenty of people willing to talk.
It was still early, so the three of them went to the steel market to take a look around.
They also went to the machinery factory to learn about the situation, using the letter of introduction provided by Liu Boss.
When noon arrived, they went to Dongfeng Restaurant.
Yesterday, Xu Sangluo and Xu Xingtao had agreed to have dinner together today.
She saw the time and ordered the dishes first.
When Xu Xingtao and the others arrived, the dishes were just ready to be served.
Both of them saw the tricycle parked at the entrance.
So, as soon as they entered, they scanned the room.
Xu Sangluo had seen them earlier and immediately waved her hand.
When they saw her, they couldn’t help but smile.
But when they saw the two extra men on either side of her, their smiles faltered.
Especially the man they hadn’t met before, who was sitting next to Xu Sangluo.
The restaurant had eight-person tables and long benches.
There were four benches on each side.
But today there were five people, it wouldn’t be good to have Xu Xingtao and Liang Yu squeezed together.
If Chen Tao and Qin Zhiyi sat together, it would also be crowded.
Xu Sangluo asked Qin Zhiyi to sit with her. After all, they often sat wherever they wanted at home, and they weren’t strangers.
She thought it was nothing, but others thought it was a little something.
