Desserts are indeed a type of cuisine. At Totsuki Academy, exams usually have broad themes, allowing students to freely choose what dish to make. The current fourth-seat has personally verified that one can pass almost all exams using various types of desserts.
However, in class, the teacher usually specifies the dish, even providing a recipe, and assigns a grade. Accumulating enough E grades results in expulsion, the same as failing an exam.
For a moment, the senpais fell silent.
Eisuke Shi had an unknowingly sharp tongue when it came to critiquing dishes, but the junior, squatting before him with her tender face, was too well-behaved. He found himself speechless for the first time.
Ryotan was right; the junior was as cute as a cat.
Eisuke Shi unconsciously averted his gaze.
Ryotan Kobayashi was already screaming internally. Now, she stood up aggressively. “No problem, Yuzu. Leave dinner to senpai. Letting you see a third-year senpai’s skills beforehand isn’t a bad idea either, after all, you’re really lovable!”
Yuzu Arisugawa was satisfied. She grabbed Senpai Ryotan’s sleeve and stood up, leaning closer, then playfully raising one foot, tilting her full face, and a kissing sound lightly touching Senpai Ryotan’s cheek.
—A cuddle.
Receiving a cuddle from Yuzu Arisugawa on the first day of meeting, surpassing 99.9% of humanity. She’s liked!
Ryotan Kobayashi’s health points were depleted; she was defeated.
Eisuke Shi flailed his hands in the air, unsure what to do. Ryotan fainted! What to do! Only he and the junior were awake! What should he say!
And, the junior was really cute.
Eisuke Shi curled his fingers, choosing to throw the problem out there. “What should we do, Yuzu… Arisugawa-san?”
Yuzu Arisugawa looked troubled.
The cook fainted, and dinner was uncertain.
Ah! I have it!
Yuzu Arisugawa clapped her hands.
Eisuke Shi, suddenly the focus of attention, showed a bewildered expression, watching as the junior suddenly approached, and froze in place.
“Does Senpai Shi want some too?”
The girl’s soft voice forcibly brought Ryotan Kobayashi back to her senses. Just as the scent of roses became increasingly strong near Eisuke Shi’s nose, Ryotan Kobayashi snatched Yuzu Arisugawa away.
Ding—Your friend urgently retracted a junior.
Ryotan Kobayashi gave a disapproving look. “Yuzu, you can’t just cuddle with boys.”
Yuzu Arisugawa nodded, sincerely explaining with wide eyes, “When I was little, I played with my brothers like this. And if I cuddled with another brother, the brother would revive.”
Ryotan Kobayashi asked with a heavy tone, “Your real brothers?”
Yuzu Arisugawa nodded vigorously. “I have one real brother, one cousin, and two cousins.”
Ryotan Kobayashi breathed a sigh of relief, coaxing her with a gentleness Eisuke Shi had never seen. “Then I’ll go make dinner. Yuzu, wait obediently.”
Yuzu Arisugawa politely but without hesitation thanked her. “Thank you so much, senpai. Senpai is a good person.”
Glancing at Eisuke Shi, who still looked dazed, Yuzu Arisugawa turned around, squatted down, facing the teapot of black tea on the coffee table, and revealed an evil smile that could eat several children.
She, Yuzu Arisugawa, the woman with the group favorite script.
Tremble, humans.
Eisuke Shi hugged himself, shrinking into the corner of the sofa.
So scary, the aura around the junior, it’s black.
Turning around, she was once again a gentle and well-behaved junior.
“Senpai Shi, would you like another cup of black tea?”
Such a quick change of face.
Eisuke Shi felt that the clear black tea in the cup was like a witch using magic to disguise a strange color, the real cup containing a dark, thick liquid with dense bubbles.
Eisuke Shi trembled. “N-no, I don’t like it…”
Puff sent a mocking message: “Hahahaha, stupid Yuzu, your dark aura was too obvious! You were discovered!”
Golden hair swayed with a seductive curve.
Shouldn’t the next development involve a pitiful and hurt questioning of the senpai about whether she’s scary?
But the senpai trembling on the sofa was so soft and cute, Yuzu Arisugawa’s gaze didn’t waver. She naturally placed the teacup behind her on the coffee table without looking.
The sound of glass and porcelain colliding touched Eisuke Shi’s heart. He swallowed.
Yuzu Arisugawa’s smile was refined enough, but the malicious intent was also obvious enough.
The unspoken continuation of “Since you’ve discovered me,” made Eisuke Shi imagine a hundred ways to cook a human being.
In a way, he was quite amazing.
Under Eisuke Shi’s retreating and nervous gaze, the scent of roses once again asserted its presence.
Yuzu Arisugawa certainly wouldn’t cuddle him. What a joke, did he cook anything?
Yuzu Arisugawa leaned close to his ear, softly saying, “What’s that word again? The suspension bridge effect, right? The principle is the same. Senpai’s fear of me, could it be the beginning of a crush?”
Later, Eisuke Shi preferred to describe the feeling not as the explosive and burning sensation of fireworks exploding in his mind, but as: the rose buds filling his vision blooming all at once, the pervasive intense red causing dizziness.
Eisuke Shi, defeated.
Ryotan Kobayashi, lifting her head between movements: Such a familiar scene, go to hell, underhanded Eisuke Shi! She’s only a first-year!
Senpai Ryotan’s hair stood on end.
Yuzu Arisugawa, worried that Senpai Ryotan’s dish might miss its best cooking time due to her prank, explained to Senpai Shi thoughtfully, “I didn’t touch Senpai Shi, but Senpai Shi looked so scared that he fainted. Senpai Ryotan doesn’t need to worry about me.”
What? She might be worried about Eisuke Shi?
Humph, with Yuzu Arisugawa here, how could Senpai possibly be worried about anyone else?
Puff retracted a mocking message, flying to Ryotan Kobayashi’s head to loudly broadcast the dinner’s content.
Ryotan Kobayashi’s hair calmed down. Yuzu Arisugawa contentedly covered Senpai Shi with a blanket.
Senpai Shi, having such a considerate junior is your good fortune.
When the fortunate Senpai Shi woke up again, the two ladies had already finished dinner and were enjoying the coffee jelly.
He touched his empty stomach, not daring to move.
Ryotan Kobayashi sent a loud mocking message: “What are you doing, Eisuke? Those who sleep too long don’t get to eat! Yuzu’s super delicious coffee jelly is just right to eat!”
Keyword extraction, “Little Yuzu,” Eisuke Shi felt a stomach ache.
Noticing Yuzu Arisugawa’s gaze, Eisuke Shi found a suitable excuse for his stomach ache. Yes, he was hungry.
Eisuke Shi dragged his feet. He was wronged, but he didn’t dare to say it.
But the coffee jelly smelled delicious, and he dared to eat it.
Oh no, he hadn’t written his will yet. Forget it, let’s eat first, he was really hungry.
Eisuke Shi sat down in the empty seat, picking up a small pudding spoon and scooping a spoonful of the coffee jelly, which was visually appealing and fragrant. It was incredibly smooth, and the rest didn’t crack at all from the spoon’s intrusion.
He had high expectations for this coffee jelly.
Puff chanted devilishly in front of Eisuke Shi: “Eat it, eat it quickly, after witnessing our power, kneel down and sing ‘Conquest’!”
Yuzu Arisugawa reflected on whether she had given the little fairy too much internet time; she had dug up such an old meme.
But the words were pleasing to the ear.
Yuzu Arisugawa happily took another bite of the fragrant coffee jelly.
The smooth jelly bounced playfully into her mouth, the high-quality coffee flavor spreading, with a sweet and cool refreshment. Although solid, it had a liquid-like diffusion and smoothness, flowing down her throat.
Yuzu Arisugawa and Eisuke Shi both let out satisfied sighs.
“Speaking of which, I wanted to ask, Yuzu, what’s being worshipped over there?”
Ryotan Kobayashi pointed to a wooden table in the corner of the kitchen. On it was an incense burner without incense ash, a pair of green eyes, two things that looked like lollipop models, and three pink hairs glued to the table that were only visible upon closer inspection.
Yuzu Arisugawa “ah”-ed. “Almost forgot! I need to offer tributes to the greatest coffee jelly god!”
She picked up the remaining coffee jelly and, under Eisuke Shi’s “I’m not full yet” gaze, walked straight to the corner.
She put down the plate, sat on the floor, hugged the corner of the table, the actions flowing seamlessly, even more smoothly than when making desserts, then started wailing, leaving the other two speechless.
“Great coffee jelly god, your humble servant has prepared your favorite coffee jelly. Please let me know the questions for tomorrow’s class assignment! Waaah!”
Ryotan Kobayashi looked righteous as she held up her spoon. “Hey! Over there! Don’t do that in front of the senpais!”
Kusunoki Nanao (invisible): I occasionally don’t want to admit that this sister is mine.
“Then, great coffee jelly god, if there’s a super amazing cook who can help me with practical cooking, it’s not impossible to give you delicious coffee jelly.”
Yuzu Arisugawa glanced at the table and continued to wail. “Please! Send down two amazing teachers from heaven!”
Ryotan Kobayashi’s smile was overflowing. She puffed out her chest. “Since Yuzu is so sincere, it would be incredibly painful to not help~”
Kusunoki Nanao (invisible), felt no pain whatsoever, looking at the table, his eyes hurt.
Yuzu Arisugawa immediately stood up, took back the coffee jelly from the offering table, and placed it in front of the senpais, sincerely exclaiming, “Senpais are such good people.”
Eisuke Shi didn’t want to stay, but the “good person” card had been played.
Eisuke Shi felt that he had absolute rationality in cooking and couldn’t stand dirty things, but Ryotan said that the teaching work could be his dinner since he hadn’t eaten.
He was hungry.
He was really bad at refusing.
In short, he stayed.
Kusunoki Nanao (invisible), missed out on the coffee jelly.
His heart truly ached this time.
How did that tragic romance line go?
—Almost, almost, I and he could…
Kusunoki Nanao silently muted the voice-acting Puff Princess, his expression dark enough to eat several dessert fairies.
