Home was still the most comfortable place.
After pulling the curtains closed, Ji He turned and entered her space.
Inside, the climate was like spring, and the crops were growing vigorously.
Her eyes immediately landed on the livestock she had placed inside.
They had already recovered and looked much better than when they were in the breeding facility. Now, they were leisurely strolling on the grass.
Seeing Ji He approach, they didn’t run away and simply continued grazing.
Ji He reached out and patted the little calf, carefully observing its eyes and limbs.
It was in good condition, eating well. The seller hadn’t deceived her—there were no other issues besides the heat being too much for it to handle.
As soon as it entered the space, it recovered within a short time.
Ji He herded the animals into the enclosure and sorted them accordingly.
Then, she turned her attention to the ducks and chickens the seller had delivered.
She hadn’t even counted them when they arrived; the seller had just sent over a large cardboard box filled with weak, barely alive chickens and ducks.
Yet, in such a short time, the chickens and ducks that had seemed on the verge of death were now standing in the box, chirping loudly.
A few especially energetic ones were even running around non-stop.
Watching their lively behavior, Ji He couldn’t help but marvel at the tenacity of life.
She carried the box to the chicken coop and started counting as she placed the chicks inside. Originally, she had only bought 12 chickens, but the seller had sent her 28 chicks this time.
That was more than double what she had initially purchased.
Ji He let the chicks roam freely on the grass and left them to their own devices.
She then moved on to the duck coop and repeated the process. The seller had sent 21 ducks—three times her original number.
After settling the ducks, she noticed a few noticeably larger goslings.
Goslings and ducklings looked similar, but geese were much bigger. These were a full size larger. Ji He separated the six goslings into the goose pen.
By now, she had a total of 40 chickens, 28 ducks, and 10 geese.
Looking at the poultry scattered across the lawn, Ji He felt deeply satisfied.
She wasn’t short on meat for now, but the security of having food at home was something no one else could provide.
After all, she had no idea if she would always be able to find food in the game dungeons.
This was only a one-star dungeon—who knew what two-star or three-star dungeons would be like?
She only allowed herself a minute to admire the scene before quickly leaving the space to prepare food for the livestock.
Her space had plenty of gas canisters, but she wasn’t planning to use them yet.
She still had an old-fashioned stove at home, along with some firewood.
She’d use that first.
If it wasn’t enough, she’d think about it later.
The piglets she had been raising had already grown significantly, and with the seven she had bought yesterday, she now had nine pigs in total.
Cooking for them required an enormous pot each time.
For now, Ji He was feeding them a mix of feed and grain.
Until the vegetables in her space grew large enough to harvest, she supplemented their food with vegetable scraps from cooking and some pasture grass. She boiled these with the water used to rinse the cooking pot and then added several pounds of cornmeal.
That was good enough pig feed.
All-natural, pollution-free, with both fats and carbohydrates—a perfect combination!
Ji He had a dedicated large pot for cooking pig feed. Once it was done, she simply carried it over to feed them.
She then continued chopping vegetables in the kitchen. Raising livestock in large numbers had its downsides—just cooking for them took up a lot of time every day.
For the chickens, ducks, geese, and quails, the feeding standard was the same: chopped grass mixed with cornmeal. No need to cook it—just cut it up and mix it.
Rabbits, cows, and sheep were even easier—they only ate grass. She didn’t even need to prepare food for them.
She wasn’t sure if the grass in her space was just growing especially well or if she simply didn’t have enough animals yet, but it seemed to be more than enough. So, she let them graze freely and only added some hay before bed.
Slipping back into her space, she fed the livestock and sighed silently as she watched them eat.
Why didn’t her space come with an automatic cleaning function?
Even in the short time she spent in there each day, a significant portion of it was wasted on cleaning!
She only entertained the thought for a moment before shaking it off.
Having a space at all was already a blessing—greedy people would get struck by lightning.
After feeding the livestock, she hurried to feed the fish.
The saltwater and freshwater fish fry had grown a lot during this time. They were still far from being ready to eat, but they were noticeably bigger than when she first got them. Naturally, they were eating much more now.
She hadn’t bought too many of each species at the beginning, but she had a wide variety.
Once the sea fish grew up, she would have more than enough to eat.
Ji He had already planned it out. After harvesting her current crops, she would plant soybeans. After pressing them for oil, the leftover soybean meal could be used as fish feed.
That way, she wouldn’t have to go out looking for fish food.
After checking her space one last time to make sure there was nothing else to do, Ji He finally left.
She wasn’t very tired yet, so she turned on the radio to check for any news updates.
As soon as she turned it on, an urgent government announcement played:
“The weather is extremely hot. Please stay indoors as much as possible to avoid heatstroke.
Please trust the government. Our country has ample supplies and will ensure the basic needs of all citizens, helping everyone get through this extreme weather.
We now officially inform the public that, according to investigations, all citizens between the ages of 18 and 40 were recently transported into an alternate world by a game.
This game is called the ‘Support Game.’ Players who complete two rounds will officially become full-fledged players.
Full players will awaken special abilities. The criminal groups that recently caused disturbances were, in fact, rogue full players.
Please remain calm and approach these abilities with rationality. Do not panic, do not spread or believe in rumors.
The government now calls upon all full players to register at their local government offices. Those with exceptional abilities will receive special government positions with generous benefits.
Starting immediately, municipal supermarkets will open in each city. Citizens with no criminal record may use their ID cards for facial recognition to purchase supplies. Specific details will be managed by each city.
Please check with your local community offices for further information.
The country is in need. Every citizen has a responsibility. Up next, we will honor patriotic entrepreneurs who have generously donated supplies—
Master Lao: Donated 100,000 packs of instant noodles.
Lili Garden: Donated 100,000 packs of bread…”
The radio host finished reading the announcement once and then started over from the beginning.
Ji He was stunned and shocked.
She hadn’t expected the government to drop such a huge bombshell.
They were choosing to reveal everything directly?
She quickly grabbed her phone to check the community chat group.
There was a notification posted there as well.
