Cheng Xuan shook her head, looking both pained and weary. “I’m waiting outside for my baby.”

“Your baby?” Tang You didn’t understand what she meant.

“Jiang Ding, baby, your mama is stuck outside and can’t get in. You need to do well in there, mama will be cheering for you!” Cheng Xuan muttered to herself at the entrance.

“…”

Tang You finally understood.

She burst into laughter. “You like Jiang Ding?”

Cheng Xuan raised an eyebrow. “Don’t you?”

Tang You smiled lightly, “I don’t.”

“…” Cheng Xuan’s eyes, which had looked hopeless, suddenly came back to life. “Then lend me your student ID, quick, I need to get in to see my husband!”

Just a moment ago he was her baby, and now he’s her husband.

Tang You swiftly pulled out her student ID. “I’ll wait for you in the library. Come find me when you’re done.”

“Got it!”

Cheng Xuan grabbed the student ID and dashed into the multi-purpose hall while Tang You headed towards the library.

She had only taken a few steps when Cheng Xuan called out from behind, “Youyou!”

Tang You turned around to see Cheng Xuan running back toward her, holding her phone, seemingly having just finished a call.

Out of breath, Cheng Xuan said, “Brother Yao just called and told me to let you know to wait for him at the bus stop by the back gate after school. He needs to talk to you!”

“Huh?”

Tang You was momentarily confused. Although she wasn’t sure what Zhou Qinyao wanted, she knew they couldn’t meet at the school gate.

Uncle Yang would be waiting for her there on time.

If she wanted to meet Zhou Qinyao, she would have to find a way to get Uncle Yang to leave first.

So…

Tang You’s mind raced. Suddenly, she spotted a poster in front of the multi-purpose hall, and an idea struck her.

She winked at Cheng Xuan. “Xuan-jie, you can borrow my student ID, but can you do me a favor too?”

Cheng Xuan asked, “What kind of favor?”

Tang You smiled, “Have dinner with Jiang Ding for me tonight.”

Cheng Xuan: “???!!!”

Oh my gosh, I’m about to faint.

An hour later, the promotional event in the multi-purpose hall was wrapping up.

The teacher had arranged for five female students to go on stage and present flowers to the film crew as a gesture of respect and gratitude.

Cheng Xuan quietly approached one of the girls she knew and whispered a few words. The girl handed her the flowers.

When the host on stage announced the end of the event and the audience erupted in applause, Cheng Xuan calmly walked up with the other girls.

Jiang Ding was casually scanning the crowd, thinking that Tang You was really giving him no face at all. Despite him being at her school for a rare visit, she hadn’t even shown up to support him.

Just as he was looking for her, his view was blocked.

A fashionably dressed girl stood in front of him, holding a bouquet of flowers. “Mr. Jiang, thank you for your hard work.”

Jiang Ding looked up slightly.

The girl was wearing a form-fitting outfit that accentuated her figure.

Large bust, long legs, a slender waist, and a youthful face with a hint of allure.

At first glance, she was quite attractive.

Jiang Ding accepted the flowers, responding lazily but politely, “Thank you.”

The girl bowed courteously, and as she leaned forward, she whispered in his ear, “Youyou asked me to tell you not to leave. She’ll be waiting for you at the back gate at 6:30 to have dinner with you.”

Jiang Ding: “…”

After the event ended, the students were dismissed, and it was nearly the end of the school day. The teacher gathered everyone in the classroom for a brief summary of the lecture, then dismissed them.

At the school gate, Jiang Ding’s assistant’s car was discreetly parked by the roadside. Tang You sat inside and told Uncle Yang, who had come to pick her up, “Today, I’m having dinner with Brother Jiang Ding.”

The implication was clear: he could go home now.

Uncle Yang was meticulous in his work. Although he had just picked up Jiang Ding the day before and knew that he and Tang You were acquainted, he still called Fang Lai to be safe.

After explaining the situation, Fang Lai cheerfully agreed, “Sure, let them go. Jiang Ding will take care of Youyou.”

With Fang Lai’s approval, Uncle Yang finally turned and left.

Once he had driven away, Jiang Ding removed his sunglasses calmly and asked, “Alright, what are you up to?”

Jiang Ding knew Tang You too well. The moment she had someone pass on the message about dinner, he knew it wasn’t that simple.

“Jiang Ding,” Tang You said with an awkward smile, “I’ll make it up to you another day, but today I can’t.”

She peeked outside the window, scanning the crowd, and sure enough, she spotted a familiar motorcycle at the bus stop.

Her lips curled into a slight smile as she suppressed a surge of happiness. She turned to Jiang Ding and said, “But I found a friend to accompany you for dinner. Make sure you treat her well.”

With that, Tang You waved to Cheng Xuan, who had been waiting outside the car.

As Cheng Xuan walked over, Tang You cheerfully said to Jiang Ding, “Enjoy your meal.”

Before Jiang Ding could ask what was going on, Tang You had already exited the car. Moments later, a woman took her place in the passenger seat.

The woman, with bright eyes and a radiant smile, greeted him enthusiastically, “Hi, Mr. Jiang, we meet again.”

Jiang Ding: “…”

In fact, Zhou Qinyao had already noticed Tang You and Cheng Xuan when they came out together.

He saw the two cross the street and approach a discreet black business car.

He waited patiently for a few minutes, and finally, Tang You emerged from the car and ran towards him.

The girl came running against the wind, her bangs gently lifted by the breeze, her lips naturally curved into a smile, like a beam of light, bright and dazzling in Zhou Qinyao’s eyes.

Zhou Qinyao straightened up from the car, feeling an urge to open his arms and let her run into them.

But he held back.
