This racing circuit was a professional track, where all sorts of modified AS motorcycles would come for test drives. Zhou Qinyao would sometimes accompany clients here, so the staff were familiar with him.
He picked out a training bike, put on a racing helmet, and said to Tang You:
“Get on.”
Tang You looked at the heavy racing motorcycle and was initially hesitant, but Zhou Qinyao didn’t give her a chance to hesitate, lifting her onto the bike directly.
As he fastened her helmet, he whispered:
“If there’s anything that’s been bothering you, let it all out.”
“…”
Before she could ask any more questions, the rough, wild roar of the engine filled the air, and in just a second, they shot out onto the track at high speed.
“Ah—”
Tang You was caught off guard and screamed, clinging tightly to Zhou Qinyao’s waist.
Her heart was in her throat, the wind roared past her ears, and she felt as if she was flying, her body suspended in the air.
This was completely different from the feeling of riding his motorcycle before.
At first, she needed time to adapt, so Zhou Qinyao only took her around the track once.
After they stopped, he asked Tang You, “Getting used to it?”
Although the speed had scared her a bit at first, Tang You couldn’t deny that once she got used to it, this unprecedented experience was undeniably thrilling.
She pressed her lips together and nodded, “Yeah, I’m okay.”
“Then let’s go again.”
Zhou Qinyao, like her dark knight, controlled the throttle and steering with steady strength, and they set off again, lap after lap, releasing all the pressure.
Tang You went from closing her eyes and not daring to make a sound, to slowly opening them, watching as the scenery flashed by like a blur behind them.
Riding the wind, her adrenaline surged.
She timidly loosened one hand, reaching out into the air to feel the speed of the wind. At that moment, she truly felt the exhilaration of freedom.
She boldly leaned against Zhou Qinyao’s back—
“…Can we go even faster?”
Underneath his helmet, Zhou Qinyao’s lips curled up slightly. He applied more pressure, and the tachometer immediately jumped to a new speed.
The engine roared, and the sunset cast a faint golden glow over them. Their shadows raced through the dusk, creating a breathtaking scene.
The girl went from lifting one hand to raising both, daringly reaching into the wind, her shouts of release echoing, thrilling yet liberating.
Tang You had never let herself go like this in her eighteen years.
It was as if all the frustrations and grievances she had buried deep inside were being released, and it felt incredibly satisfying.
A staff member on the track gestured something to Zhou Qinyao, and he slowly decelerated. After speaking a few words to the staff, he turned to Tang You and said:
“You wait for me over there. I’m going to play a few laps with a friend.”
“Okay.” Tang You was also feeling a bit tired.
She obediently sat on a bench in the safe area by the track, watching as Zhou Qinyao rode off into the distance. After a few minutes, two motorcycles sped past the starting line, racing side by side like the wind.
And the man in black, in particular, was like a bolt of lightning with fire, blazing into her heart, leaving her restless.
The person beside Zhou Qinyao was Li Sheng’an, the owner of the racetrack, and they were quite close.
Two years ago, when Zhou Qinyao first came to C City, he was crazy about racing, playing as if he had no regard for his life. Back then, everyone in C City’s underground racing scene knew about him.
Later, after he’d had enough, Zhou Qinyao gradually stepped back from it, only coming occasionally to test cars with clients.
So now that Li Sheng’an saw him playing again, he joined in for a couple of laps, itching for the thrill. Soon, a crowd gathered to watch, with women screaming continuously.
Although Zhou Qinyao hadn’t played in a long time, Li Sheng’an still couldn’t beat him.
After a few laps, they stopped.
Li Sheng’an admitted defeat, “Your skills are almost professional. Interested in joining my racing team?”
Zhou Qinyao took off his helmet, speaking casually, “Forget it, I’m just here for fun.”
As he spoke, his gaze inadvertently fell on Tang You, who was waiting for him over there.
Li Sheng’an also noticed Tang You. He pointed with his eyes and asked:
“Who brought that girl here?”
As Zhou Qinyao removed his gloves, he faintly smiled without saying anything.
Li Sheng’an didn’t notice Zhou Qinyao’s expression and continued to curiously observe Tang You. He noticed the girl sitting there so primly, especially obedient.
“She’s even wearing a school uniform. Tsk, like a little peach.” He pulled out a cigarette for Zhou Qinyao and squinted, “I’ve never seen someone so pure around here.”
“Her little face is really white.”
“Hey, do you think she’s looking at me?”
Zhou Qinyao didn’t respond to Li Sheng’an’s chatter.
He calmly finished taking off his gloves, turned off the bike, pulled out the key, and after making sure everything was in order, he reached out and turned Li Sheng’an’s face back to him:
“Have you looked enough?”
Li Sheng’an was stunned, teasing, “What, do you have a problem with it?”
“Yeah, I do.”
Zhou Qinyao smiled nonchalantly, pushed away the cigarette Li Sheng’an offered, and the next moment, his smile faded, his voice calm yet cold:
“She’s with me. Of course I have a problem with it.”
