Celibate Monk Prince? Then who’s the clingy little crybaby in her arms?
Chapter 4: Why’d You Even Mess with Him?

Left with no choice, Luo Yunyan gently patted her on the shoulder and said, “Please… don’t cry… Mom.”

Hearing that, Su Wanru’s sobs softened, but she still clung tightly to Luo Yunyan.

Luo Chenfeng tried to come forward and pull both mother and daughter into his arms, but got a glare from Su Wanru for his troubles. Instead, she pulled her daughter even tighter.

Luo Chenfeng: …Okay then. She’s your daughter and only yours, huh?

Finally, Luo Yunzhe couldn’t bear to watch any longer and spoke up, “Mom, Nuan Nuan’s been standing all this time. Her legs must be sore.”

“You’re right, right! Come inside, everyone! What are you all just standing around for? Don’t tire out my Nuan Nuan—none of you have any sense at all!” Su Wanru immediately let go and pulled Luo Yunyan inside.

Luo Chenfeng, Luo Yunxi, and Luo Yanyi: So… we’re just extras now?

They had no choice but to follow their wife and daughter / mom and sister into the house.

Su Wanru sat Luo Yunyan on the couch and kept holding her hand tightly. Her lips moved as if to speak, but there was too much to say—so she just sat there crying silently.

Looking at her, Luo Yunyan felt a strange ache in her chest. Before she could think, her hand had already picked up a tissue and started wiping Su Wanru’s tears.

Sensing a few intense gazes from nearby, she looked up and found the three men still staring at her like puppies hoping for attention.

She pursed her lips slightly. “Dad. Second Brother. Third Brother.”

Their previously tense faces instantly lit up with joy.

Their daughter. Their sister. She was real. Alive. Home.

Luo Chenfeng stepped behind the couch and wrapped his arms around the two of them. His eyes turned slightly red. “You’re home. That’s all that matters.”

Luo Yanyi sat down on her right and said, “Nuan Nuan, can you roll up your right sleeve for a second?”

Luo Yunyan was a little puzzled but did as asked.

He pressed his left upper arm next to hers. When the birthmarks aligned—forming a perfect capital Y—he grinned from ear to ear.

Seeing what he was doing, Luo Yunyan couldn’t help twitching at the corners of her mouth. This is the genius who got into the elite youth class?

Both her right upper arm and Luo Yanyi’s left had a blunt-angled birthmark. Put together, they formed a capital “Y.” That’s why the final character in both their names was “Yan/Yi”—starting with “Y.”

Luo Yunxi looked at the two of them, then back at himself, clearly left out. He was not pleased.

Then he spotted Luo Yunzhe sitting calmly, sipping tea. He immediately poked the bear. “Big Bro, Nuan Nuan didn’t call you just now~”

“She already did. Right after the paternity results came out,” Luo Yunzhe replied with a leisurely smirk, crossing one leg over the other as he sipped his tea again.

“Say what?!” Luo Yunxi’s eyes widened.

Without even sparing him a glance, Luo Yunzhe replied, “Hmm? Did I mention she was the one who reached out to me? Yeah, we even had lunch together—she served me food, you know.”

Luo Yunxi was so mad he could’ve chewed his phone. But he didn’t dare act out, so he could only pinch his philtrum to calm down.

Once Su Wanru had composed herself, she took Luo Yunyan upstairs with her. The four men followed behind.

“All these years, your room’s been kept just as it was. The maids clean it daily. We’ve always hoped you’d come back. Come see if you like it. If not, I’ll have it redone.”

Upstairs, Luo Yunyan looked around at the Scandinavian-style room. On the desk sat photos from her childhood. A strange warmth bloomed in her chest.

Su Wanru, seeing her silence, grew nervous and clenched her hands. “Well? Do you like it, Nuan Nuan? If not, I’ll have it changed right away.”

“No need. I like it. Thank you, Mom.”

“I’m glad! I’ll have some new season clothes, shoes, and bags delivered. You pick whatever you like—fill the walk-in closet to the brim!” Su Wanru grasped her hand excitedly.

Luo Yunyan’s heart softened inexplicably. “Okay. Thank you, Mom.”

She had plenty of money and designer items, but… being cared for like this—it felt nice.

Luo Yunzhe chimed in at just the right moment, “How about we let Nuan Nuan rest for a while?”

Seeing Su Wanru reluctant to leave, he added, “Mom, Nuan Nuan hasn’t had your braised short ribs in ages. She used to love them.”

“Oh, right! I’ll go make some now. You rest up, sweetheart. I’ll call you when it’s ready.” Su Wanru pulled Luo Chenfeng with her as she left.

The brothers left too. Luo Yunzhe, who was the last to leave, gave her a warm smile before closing the door behind him.

Luo Yunyan sat at the desk, fingers brushing across the framed photos. A never-before-felt emotion rose in her chest. It wasn’t bad.

She lay back on the big, soft bed and was just about to drift off when her phone lit up—Jiang Yining was video calling.

She answered. Jiang Yining squinted at the background. “Yanyan, you’re back at the Luo house?”

“Mm.”

“Knew it! You’ve never used these sai-quality bedsheets before. How’s it feel?”

“Not bad. Comfy.”

“Good, good. You enjoy it—I’ll visit in a bit.”

“Help me pick out some gifts at the estate. Send them over by tomorrow.”

“Tsk tsk tsk. Reuniting with your family hits different, huh? Normally you wouldn’t even let me touch that place. How many gifts?”

“You decide. I’ve got no experience with this. One for each of the Luo and Su family adults. As for the younger ones, use your judgment. Pick one for yourself too.”

“Got it, CEO Luo~ I’ll make sure everything’s perfect and delivered first thing tomorrow~”

“Mhm. Hanging up now.” Without waiting for further chatter, Luo Yunyan ended the call.

Jiang Yining: …The hell?

Luo Yunyan lay there drowsy. Who knows how long passed before there was a knock at the door. She instantly sat up.

Before she could answer, Luo Yunxi crept in, his gaze unusually soft… almost heartbroken?

“Huh? You’re awake, Nuan Nuan. The clothes from the mall are here. Wanna come pick some out?”

“Sure. Coming.” Luo Yunyan washed her face in the bathroom and headed downstairs with him.

Luo Yunxi, all casual, reached out and held her hand. Inside, he was thrilled.

Her hand was still soft—just not as chubby as when she was little.

As they descended, Luo Yunyan arched an eyebrow at the scene.

The entire massive living room was filled with racks of clothes and over two dozen sales attendants.

Only Luo Yunzhe remained, head down, working on his laptop.

“Nuan Nuan, take anything you like. If you don’t like what’s here, those reps over there are from private design houses—they can custom-make things for you. Just grab whatever for now,” Luo Yunzhe said.

“Okay.”

Luo Yunyan sifted through the options, had the attendants set aside what didn’t suit her, and had the rest placed neatly in her walk-in closet.

Once the attendants left, she didn’t bother going back upstairs and sat in the living room instead.

“Nuan Nuan, look at me,” Luo Yunxi suddenly said.

She looked up from her phone—and the moment she did, click—he snapped a picture.

“So pretty! Can I post this on Weibo, Nuan Nuan?” he asked, eyes shining as he admired the photo.

“Up to you.”

“Nice!” Luo Yunxi grinned like an idiot and immediately started posting.

Luo Yunyan subtly scooted away—too much secondhand embarrassment. He really didn’t look very smart…

[@LuoYunxiV]: Welcome home, little sister. [Photo]

The post blew up and landed on the hot search instantly.

[AHHH I’m changing bias! His sister’s too gorgeous!!]
[She’s so pretty—omg omg!]
[Can I please have her??]
[@LuoYunxiV]: No, you can’t. She’s MY sister!
[Tsk tsk, Luo’s full-on siscon confirmed.]

Most comments were gushing over Luo Yunyan’s beauty or congratulating Luo Yunxi. But, as always, trolls appeared too.

[Is she really his sister? Looks more like some PR stunt to hype a newbie.]
[LOL, even the official Luo Group account hasn’t said anything. It’s fake for sure.]
[That’s a surgery face. So fake.]

Luo Yunxi wasn’t the type to ignore haters. He personally jumped in to clap back:

[@LuoYunxiV]: A PR stunt? The company exists because of me. I need to use it to hype someone?
[@LuoYunxiV]: I’m happy, and I want to be the first to officially welcome my sister. You got a problem with that?
[@LuoYunxiV]: Stop avoiding the issue. You might want to get your organs checked—they’re clearly misplaced.
[These two look like they came out of the same mold. If they’re not related, I’ll eat my phone.]
[LMAO. Why’d you even mess with him? People call him “Entertainment’s Mad Dog” for a reason.]

Luo Yunxi had never hidden his identity as the second young master of the Luo family.

When people accused him of getting roles through connections, he didn’t care—his acting shut them up once his shows aired.

He’d even said in interviews that the reason he entered showbiz was to find his lost sister. He wanted to stand on the highest stage, so she could see him and find her way home.

Beside him, Luo Yunyan had been watching his earlier joy turn into rage and confusion. She was puzzled.

Just as she was about to ask, he turned to Luo Yunzhe and shouted, “Big Bro! Make the company account post about our sister already! People are talking trash!”

Luo Yunzhe took the phone, scanned the comments, and a cold glint flashed in his eyes.

He dialed Assistant Zhang. “I’ll send you the DNA test results. Repost Second Brother’s Weibo within five minutes. If it doesn’t hit trending, buy the slot. Gather all the slanderous comments—our legal team is suing every last one of them.”

After hanging up, he ruffled Luo Yunyan’s head. “Nuan Nuan, this is my fault. I should’ve been more thorough. I let you suffer.”

Huh? I don’t even know what happened—how did I suffer?

But she quickly guessed—probably just some netizens with nasty comments.

The safest move right now? Nod.

Seeing her well-behaved reaction, Luo Yunzhe’s heart softened even more—now he felt guilty and protective.

He got the company account credentials from Assistant Zhang and personally reposted the announcement with the DNA report attached.

[@LuoGroupV]: The one and only young miss of the Luo family.
