Chapter 71
The window was slightly open, and the night breeze blew in, dispersing the room’s initial stuffiness.
Sang Yao still lay on her side, and Xie Yun easily wrapped his arm around her waist, but she didn’t turn around. She didn’t want to face it for the moment, nor did she acknowledge Xie Yun.
A long time ago, at the beginning, she had wondered about a question. What would it be like if it was Xie Yun’s hand?
His hand was much larger than hers, with long fingers and a much broader range when curved. Now, this question finally had an answer.
Sang Yao sighed.
She remembered when he had just said she needed more practice, but she didn’t know how to practice more. Did his words mean that she would have to hold him again tomorrow night?
Sang Yao drooped her face, her eyes blinked, and she felt like crying again.
She couldn’t understand why Xie Yun was so good-looking, yet that part of him wasn’t. She couldn’t hold it with one hand, and Xie Yun even forced her to use both hands.
When he used his cool lips to instruct her on how to move, her mind went blank, and she could only follow his command mechanically.
She held her hand, feeling numb still, definitely turning red. After thinking for a long time, she negotiated with him, “Can we practice again the day after tomorrow?”
Xie Yun agreed with a grunt.
“Come here,” he said.
Only then did Sang Yao turn slowly and nestle into Xie Yun’s arms. Her movements were a bit cautious, but she accidentally touched Xie Yun’s hand in front of her.
A slight discomfort arose, Sang Yao gently took a breath, and then began to complain, “You must not… here… again.”
“You’re still biting me.”
Sang Yao was already afraid that he would lick and suck on her even more vigorously.
Xie Yun’s hand moved away from there and rested on her waist, saying, “I’ve bitten you in many places. Which one are you referring to?” Sang Yao pursed her lips, feeling that Xie Yun was definitely doing it on purpose.
She snorted, “Shameless.” Every time after class, Sang Yao was the boldest and least shy.
She was originally the kind of person who liked to be close to others, but she didn’t have many friends around, and her sister was in the palace, so there was no one to stick to her.
Since Xie Yun saved her from Lu Ting that day, she had a strange sense of reliance on him. Now that they were married, she had no resistance to being close to him.
Since that matter was already done, she wasn’t so shy anymore. She took the initiative to get close to Xie Yun, her calves resting on his legs, and then asked her question, “Why did we learn so much tonight?”
Xie Yun remained composed, “To help you graduate sooner.”
Sang Yao nodded.
She felt that she accepted it quite quickly.
Before she got married to Xie Yun, she had only kissed him once, and now, two days after the wedding, she could roll into his arms and sleep without any pressure.
So, at first, she only felt that thing was terrifying, but now that she thought about it… it might be okay?
She was curious again, “What are we going to learn tomorrow?”
She thought this kind of thing was just rolling and poking around together, without much variation.
When she became proficient in tonight’s matter, maybe she could officially graduate.
But she still felt a bit nervous. Touching hands was acceptable, but touching other parts of the body was completely different.
In the darkness, Sang Yao couldn’t see Xie Yun’s expression clearly.
She only felt his hand on her waist becoming restless again, and it tickled a bit.
It wasn’t until a moment later that she suddenly stiffened, curled her toes, and asked angrily, “Why are you pinching my butt again?”
Rationally, Xie Yun didn’t want to discuss this kind of content with her at this moment.
It would easily disrupt his plans.
For example, tonight’s bowl of tonic soup was supposed to make Sang Yao gradually get used to being naked first, then get used to being touched and fondled, and finally learn to use her hands.
The formulation of this plan was not sudden.
When he realized that Sang Yao’s nervousness was stronger than he expected, he gave up forcibly possessing her in her fear, anxiety, and ordeal.
That was not a wonderful thing. In comparison, he preferred Sang Yao to be open and joyful, actively sitting on him and moving up and down.
It could be imagined. This was something destined to shake the soul.
But this task was indeed very difficult.
Each time, he faced torment and choices.
Xie Yun squeezed her legs, parted them, and let her lie on top of him.
He asked, “What other lessons do you think there could be?”
Sang Yao wouldn’t know about these things. She felt that just touching with her hands was enough.
She and Xie Yun had no secrets anymore. He had seen all of her, and he had studied her for a long time.
Sang Yao didn’t answer. She leaned against Xie Yun’s chest, blinked her bright eyes for a long time without speaking.
She remembered just now.
Sang Yao rarely saw Xie Yun lose control. Now that her mind was a bit clearer, she recalled that Xie Yun was different from usual at that moment.
She whispered, “Did you feel comfortable like that?”
Xie Yun fell silent, and the reluctantly quietened thing began to stir again.
“Why would it be comfortable?”
This topic could no longer continue.
He bent his leg again, placed Sang Yao back on him, and said, “Sleep.”
Sang Yao didn’t know why he suddenly seemed a bit indifferent and accidentally touched her again. Xie Yun didn’t pay any more attention to her.
But Sang Yao wasn’t sleepy at all. Xie Yun not talking to her made her feel a bit lost. She pushed away Xie Yun’s hand and pitifully said to him, “It hurts a bit.” It was that familiar, slightly coquettish tone.
Another silence followed.
Xie Yun’s hand fell back to her waist, and he spoke again in her ear, “I’ll be gentler next time.”
Sang Yao added, “Don’t bite me, okay?”
“I won’t bite.”
Seeing that Xie Yun was still relatively gentle, Sang Yao felt a bit satisfied. She closed her eyes to sleep, but Xie Yun suddenly said, “Has it been hurting since earlier?”
Actually, it hadn’t. The material of her nightgown was light, and besides feeling a bit numb there, there wasn’t any other sensation. Only when something harder like a finger touched her did she feel a slight discomfort.
But since Xie Yun asked like that, she took the opportunity to say, “It hurts.”
Her intention was to let Xie Yun coax her more at this moment and be gentler next time. But as soon as she finished speaking, Xie Yun suddenly sat her up, and Sang Yao was a little stunned. She asked, “What’s wrong?”
“Let me see.”
Sang Yao lay back down beside him, expressionless.
She said, “It doesn’t hurt anymore, let’s sleep.”
Xie Yun asked tenderly, “Are you sure you don’t want me to apply medicine?”
Apply what medicine, he should listen to what he’s saying. Sang Yao urged him, “Are you going to sleep or not?”
Then she felt Xie Yun get off the bed, and he returned shortly after. Sang Yao lay on her side on the bed and asked him, “Where did you go?”
“To get your medicine,” Xie Yun said.
Sang Yao was too tired to blush anymore, her face flushed, and she refused, “I already said I don’t need it, I really don’t hurt.”
But she still heard the faint sound of porcelain clashing, followed by the cool scent of medicine spreading to her nose. Sang Yao regretted saying that just now. She pinched the quilt and said, “I won’t sit up.”
Xie Yun pulled the quilt in front of her aside and said, “Just lie down.” Sang Yao still didn’t want to, and she said, “…I lied to you, please don’t.” Xie Yun had already lifted her hem, saying, “I won’t light a lamp.”
Sang Yao didn’t want to recall the rest. Clearly, it was just applying medicine, but she felt like she was being played again. After a while, Xie Yun got up again and went to the greenhouse.
He seemed a bit unhappy.
Sang Yao wiped the tears from the corners of her eyes, feeling embarrassed. What was he unhappy about? She was the passive one.
On the third day of her marriage into the Xie family, according to custom, it should have been Sang Yao’s return to her family day. Sang Yao was inexplicably excited. After getting up early in the morning, she didn’t even cuddle with Xie Yun in bed and just got out of bed barefoot.
She had always felt that she couldn’t like the Sang family because when she was young, she saw her father being neglected. So, for many years, she had a bad impression of those who had once neglected her father.
Before she got married, her eldest uncle had come to see her.
He didn’t say anything directly to Sang Yao, but she understood the meaning from his words. Back then, not to mention Sang Ji, even Sang Yin wanted to cling to Xie Yun’s thigh. Now that she was married to Xie Yun, her words carried weight, and her eldest uncle wanted her to mention him to Xie Yun.
Xie Yan, Xie Yun’s elder brother, was now the second in command at the Dali Temple. Sang Ji had been in the Dali Temple for many years without any promotion. Being noticed by Xie Yun was a good thing.
She pretended not to understand this matter and didn’t mention it to Xie Yun. She didn’t want to rely on this marriage to ask Xie Yun for anything. It seemed as if she was profitable.
But to be fair, she seemed to have married Xie Yun because she needed something from him.
Of course, aside from these, the Sang family treated her quite well, after all, it was the family she had been with for over ten years.
So, today she was still dressing up seriously for this.
The makeup for women was complicated and time-consuming. When she was almost done, as the maid was about to apply lipstick to her, she suddenly remembered something and said, “I’ll do it myself, you can go out first.”
The maid bowed and left. Xie Yun had been waiting for her.
He had been waiting for quite a while. Sang Yao could tell from the bronze mirror that his complexion wasn’t very good. Several times, she thought he would leave first.
Clearly, he was reluctant to wait.
He even started to flip through the things on the long table again. Although he had finished reading them yesterday.
Before getting married, Xie Yun really couldn’t imagine that he would wait for a woman to dress up for two consecutive days without complaint. It was incredible.
Top of Form
No matter how familiar you are with him, Xie Yun is someone who doesn’t show mercy. He rarely sacrifices his own comfort for others. But waiting for her seems to be somewhat worth it.
He noticed that Sang Yao had peeked at him several times through the mirror just now, presumably feeling secretly happy. After the maid left, Sang Yao turned around to look at Xie Yun.
With his legs crossed, he was flipping through an old book he had read before. He put down the book when she finished and asked, “Finished?” Sang Yao didn’t speak, her made-up face full of unhappiness.
Xie Yun put down the book, folded his restless long legs, stood up, and said, “Let’s go.” Sang Yao still didn’t move. She looked at him and asked, “Are you unwilling to wait for me?”
Xie Yun: “…”
“Then what am I doing now?”
Sang Yao ignored this question and said, “Are you annoyed?” Xie Yun was not the kind of person who would wait for others. Waiting for a quarter of an hour yesterday was still acceptable, but today, he had waited for almost an incense stick’s worth of time.
He had never waited for someone for so long in his life, and now he wasn’t even allowed to be annoyed a little?
Moreover, he was annoyed not by her, but by the fact that when he was flipping through those things, he found nothing worth seeing a second time.
Seeing Xie Yun not speaking, which in her eyes was tantamount to agreement, Sang Yao’s slightly moist lips, which had not been applied with lipstick, curled up slightly, showing even more dissatisfaction.
She stood up from the dressing table, intending to ignore him for an hour.
Xie Yun asked, “Are you angry?” Sang Yao didn’t say a word, but the word “angry” was written all over her face.
Xie Yun walked up to her, grabbed her shoulder, lowered his eyes, and said, “You’d better think about how ridiculous it is for you to be angry about this.”
“I won’t coax you.”
Sang Yao glanced at him and said, “Don’t talk to me, I’m annoyed.”
Xie Yun: “…”
He remembered that when Sang Yao was angry with him before, she would quietly make up for every harsh word she said. But now, she just directly said he was annoying.
Sang Yao broke free from his hand, then looked at herself in the mirror. She didn’t let the maid apply lipstick to her to make it easier for Xie Yun to kiss her.
If he had coaxed her just now. But now that she was really angry, she decided to suspend her plan for kisses with Xie Yun this morning.
But she hadn’t really been angry with Xie Yun before, so she didn’t have much confidence. Although she said so, she was actually thinking about how to give herself a way out. Just as she was about to apply lipstick to herself, Xie Yun behind her grabbed her wrist and easily turned her to face him.
He pursed his lips and said softly to her, “Who annoyed you? I just think those things are not good-looking.”
Sang Yao was easily shaken.
She was so easy to coax. Xie Yun hadn’t even started yet, and she was already starting to forgive him a little. Xie Yun added palely, “Don’t be angry.”
Sang Yao couldn’t even tell that he was coaxing her. His gaze fell straight on her face, and Sang Yao bit her lip. After a while, she softly said, “Oh.”
Xie Yun then let go of her hand and said lightly, “Can we go now?”
Sang Yao shook her head.
Xie Yun quietly looked at her.
Sang Yao glanced at the door, then pinched her sleeve, softly reminding him, “We haven’t kissed yet.”
By the time Sang Yao and Xie Yun got on the carriage, the sun had already risen.
When they used to ride together, Sang Yao usually sat on both sides of Xie Yun. But now, she sat next to him.
The Xie family was not far from the Sang mansion, and they arrived shortly.
Sang Yin, along with a group of people, was waiting for them at the gate.
Xie Yun went down first to wait for her, and when Sang Yao went down, he casually helped her, all of which was seen by Sang Yin.
He nodded in satisfaction.
He thought that her daughter was wise but acted foolishly. This imperial daughter of his hide too deep even he as her father didn’t notice.
Look at how Xie Yun was being manipulated.
He walked up with a smile to greet them. When Xie Yun and Sang Yao crossed the threshold, Sang Yao said, “Father!”
She greeted him, “Father, have you been well these past two days?”
Sang Yin had been doing extremely well these past two days. The threshold of the Sang family was almost worn out by the visitors.
Having been immersed in officialdom for many years, Sang Yin naturally knew why they had come, but he had no other abilities except for being good at handling delicate matters.
While nothing had been resolved, he had been showing off his power for several days.
Sang Yin perfunctorily responded to Sang Yao, then looked at Xie Yun and said gently, “Lord Xie.”
Actually, it wasn’t quite appropriate to call him “Lord Xie” at this point. According to seniority, he could not only call Xie Yun by his name directly but could also be more intimate and call him “Xiao Xie.”
However, he just couldn’t bring himself to say “Xiao Xie” to Xie Yun’s face.
If he called him “Xiao Xie” on his own initiative, it would seem like he couldn’t control his emotions.
Xie Yun nodded and said, “Father-in-law, just call me Xie Yun.”
Hearing the words “father-in-law” was like a breath of fresh air to Sang Yin. He quickly said, “Xie Yun, Yao Yao, come in quickly.”
In the main hall, Sang Yao’s uncles were there. After chatting with them for a while, Sang Yao left the greetings to Xie Yun and went back to her room.
It was the same courtyard she had lived in before.
The reason she returned today was actually for a very important matter, which was the little booklet Xie Yun had given her before. She had forgotten it because she was in a hurry when she left.
Ran Dong didn’t know about the existence of this booklet, so he hadn’t packed it for her.
After she returned and confirmed that no one had touched the booklet, she felt relieved. Before she could flip through it again, the voice of Sang Yinyue came from outside.
She hurried in, stood at the door, and looked at Sang Yao.
Sang Yao asked, “What are you doing?”
Sang Yinyue looked her up and down, exaggerated her expression, and exclaimed, “It’s different when you have a man. Yao Yao, you’ve changed.”
She sighed, “You’ve lost your innocence in your eyes. You must have been deeply harmed by a man.”
