Chapter 21
Sister-in-law, he’s drunk
After Li Xin Yue left, Lin Senmu could no longer hold back his drunkenness and clung to a trash can, vomiting uncontrollably.
Today was his first time smoking and also his first time drinking.
After vomiting, he collapsed on the sofa and fell asleep.
A quiet girl walked over to Lin Senmu and sat silently beside him, keeping watch.
In the days of youth, there are many unspoken crushes. Cui Jiayan and Lin Senmu were in the same class in high school. Unlike Li Xin Yue, she didn’t have the courage to confess her feelings, even after graduating from high school.
She didn’t know how long she would like Lin Senmu, but she knew she still liked him now.
Nie Hao returned from the dance floor at some point and glanced at Cui Jiayan, as if looking in a mirror.
Then he took out his phone and flipped through his Green bubble collection, stopping at a photo.
The photo was of a girl. Nie Hao stared at the girl in the photo and smiled bitterly. He wasn’t born a romantic, but rather, he had fallen into despair from unrequited love.
“Haozi, come drink! You still owe me two glasses!”
Someone from the booth called out to Nie Hao.
“Coming.”
Time flew by, and it grew very late. Cui Jiayan received a call from her family. Her beautiful eyes lingered on Lin Senmu with reluctance before she left the bar to go home.
However, before leaving, she went over to remind Nie Hao, “Lin Senmu is over there. Don’t leave him behind when you go home.”
“OK, OK, Class Flower Master.”
Nie Hao made a gesture.
After drinking a few more glasses, he went to the restroom. On his way back to the booth, he passed by Lin Senmu. Suddenly, Nie Hao thought of the girl in Lin Senmu’s phone album and felt he needed to do something for his brother.
Nie Hao sat down beside the drunken Lin Senmu, found Jiang Yuan’s WeChat ID in the chat records, and added her again: Sister-in-law, he’s drunk!
…
In a residential area in Qihu City.
Jiang Yuan lay in bed, holding a DSLR camera and flipping through the photos inside. Her gaze lingered the most on the photos that had a boy in them.
“He looks so innocent, but Lin Senmu is actually a big jerk!”
Jiang Yuan muttered to herself, her finger hovering over the delete button, wanting to press it but hesitating.
Soon, she found a fitting excuse, “Hmph, if it weren’t for the fact that I like some of the scenery photos, I would have deleted all the shots with you in them!”
Tired of looking at Lin Senmu’s photos, Jiang Yuan thought about every moment they had shared.
From the beginning of her reminiscence, the corners of the girl’s lips curled into a faint smile. But after recalling a certain incident in the RV, her face was filled with anger, “Lin Senmu, you big jerk, I’ll chop off your hands!”
“Wuwuwu, I’m so sad!”
Jiang Yuan also had a crybaby side. She couldn’t bear to let go of Lin Senmu, yet she felt he had betrayed her trust. In short, her young heart was filled with sorrow.
Sometimes happy, sometimes sad.
“Lin Senmu, you said you’d take responsibility for me. I blocked you, but couldn’t you have used another account to add me back?”
“Say something nice, and I might forgive you!”
“It’s already the early hours of the next day. If you don’t reach out to me, I really won’t talk to you for the rest of my life!”
After Jiang Yuan landed in Jiangnan, she saw Nie Hao’s second friend request. She left it there, neither accepting nor rejecting it.
The additional message said there were some misunderstandings involved.
Jiang Yuan wanted to hear how Lin Senmu would try to explain himself!!
She didn’t go through Nie Hao but quietly removed Lin Senmu from her WeChat blacklist.
However, after waiting for over half an hour, Lin Senmu still hadn’t reached out to her. Jiang Yuan was so angry that she cursed, “Lin Senmu, you’re such a blockhead! Can’t you see that you and Yuan Yuan are friends again?”
After waiting for a long time and still not receiving any message from Lin Senmu, Jiang Yuan was furious and moved him back to the blacklist.
But only a short while later, she silently removed Lin Senmu from the blacklist again.
“Lin Senmu, it’s already 1 a.m.! Why haven’t you sent me a message yet?!”
Jiang Yuan had kept her phone’s notification sound on, but she still hadn’t received any message. She was truly annoyed.
“Tomorrow, I’ll tell my parents that I’ve been bullied. Tomorrow, I’ll send Lin Senmu to jail!”
“Lin Senmu, you’re dead!!!”
Jiang Yuan took one last look at her phone and was about to turn off the screen when a red dot appeared on her contacts list.
In an instant, the almond-shaped eyes of the young girl were filled with excitement. She hurriedly tapped on it, but when she saw it wasn’t Lin Senmu, she immediately felt disappointed. However, after glancing at the additional information, she didn’t hesitate to accept the request.
“What Sister-in-law? Who are you?”
Jiang Yuan clearly recognized Nie Hao’s profile picture and username, but she was being stubborn.
“Sister-in-law, I’m Lin Senmu’s good buddy. He’s drunk and has been muttering your name all night. He’s been looking at your photos the entire time at the bar!”
Nie Hao knew how to help someone make a move. His words painted Lin Senmu as deeply affectionate.
“Huh? Why did he drink?”
Jiang Yuan’s heart tightened.
Oh ho, things are getting interesting.
Seeing her response, Nie Hao quickly took a photo of Lin Senmu and sent it over.
It was another effective assist—first, he conveyed Lin Senmu’s feelings for Jiang Yuan, and then he showed Lin Senmu’s drunken state.
“Please take care of him.”
Jiang Yuan didn’t know what else to say.
“Sister-in-law, did you know his parents are getting divorced?”
Nie Hao, seeing that she had calmed down, started playing the sympathy card.
“What? His parents are getting divorced? He never told me about that!”
Jiang Yuan was utterly shocked.
“Yeah, Lin Senmu is really pitiful now. His dad doesn’t want him, and his mom doesn’t want him either. He’s going to be a child with no one to care for!”
Nie Hao was quite the scoundrel, spinning stories effortlessly.
“Can you wake him up for me?”
Jiang Yuan sent the message.
“Hey, wake up, you blockhead. Your wife is looking for you.”
Nie Hao shook Lin Senmu.
Under the vigorous shaking, Lin Senmu opened his bleary eyes, let out a drunken burp, and mumbled, “Is the party over?”
“Your wife is looking for you!”
Nie Hao held the phone screen up for Lin Senmu to see.
The moment Lin Senmu looked at the screen and saw the familiar profile picture, he snatched the phone from Nie Hao and quickly typed two words: “Yuan Yuan!”
“Lin Senmu, are you okay?”
Jiang Yuan replied.
“I miss you!”
Lin Senmu, fueled by alcohol, said exactly what was on his mind.
“Oh, you shouldn’t say things like that on someone else’s WeChat!”
At home, Jiang Yuan’s face turned red.
“But you’ve blocked me on WeChat! I’ve tried adding you on Penguin so many times, but I can’t find your account!”
Lin Senmu sent a system emoji with tears streaming down its face. He had originally planned to get a new phone number tomorrow and register a new WeChat account to add Jiang Yuan.
“Can’t you see for yourself? I, I already let you out.”
If Lin Senmu were by her side, Jiang Yuan would definitely want to give him a punch.
Hearing this, Lin Senmu took out his phone and first checked Jiang Yuan’s social media feed. Seeing that they were still friends, he shifted his focus, “Yuan Yuan, I miss you.”
“Bad guy.”
Thinking about how annoying Lin Senmu was, Jiang Yuan also sent a crying emoji.
Lin Senmu was feeling particularly excited, but the noise in the bar was unbearable, so he decided to leave the environment, “Haozi, I’m going outside to get some fresh air.”
Nie Hao looked at him with a resentful expression, “Am I just your tool? You use me and then throw me away?”
