All signs pointed to Jiang Yuan actually wanting to say, “Lin Senmu, there’s a girl in your room, isn’t there?”

Lin Senmu found it amusing. “Alright, I’ll show you on video.”

“I’m not wearing makeup~”

Jiang Yuan was being a bit reserved.

Lin Senmu rolled his eyes. “Stop dawdling. I’ve seen you without makeup before. Finish checking up on me and go to sleep!”

In the RV during their trip to the Western Regions, the girl woke up in the morning with a fresh face, her beauty still striking.

“I wasn’t checking up on you. You’re the one who wanted to video call, not me.”

“The lights are off, silly.”

Lin Senmu turned the camera to show the single bed in the hotel room.

Jiang Yuan widened her eyes and scrutinized carefully, pretending to be casual. “Does this hotel room have a toilet?”

“Jiang Yuan, can you be any more stubborn? If you want to see, just say it!”

Lin Senmu was exasperated. He walked to the bathroom and gave a full view, not even missing the space behind the door.

“Hmph, I don’t want to see at all. I don’t care if you brought a girl to the hotel.”

Jiang Yuan pouted. She wasn’t like what he said!

“Ha!”

Lin Senmu scoffed. “Alright, you go to sleep first. I’m going to take a shower.”

“Oh, then I’ll hang up.”

Jiang Yuan ended the call and sent a text message: “Lin Senmu, good night!”

“Good night!”

Lin Senmu took a shower and came back feeling frustrated. It was his first time drinking, and his brain was inexplicably excited, making it hard to sleep.

He tried counting sheep: one sheep, two sheep, three kites, four kites!

Jiang Yuan slept soundly, hugging the big teddy bear on her bed, mumbling in her sleep: “Lin Senmu, don’t be sad about your parents. Yuan Yuan will be with you from now on!”

Soon, the moon finished its shift, and the sun took over.

Just like in the Western Regions, the girl always woke up earlier than the boy. Jiang Yuan resumed their usual morning routine. “Lin Senmu, wake up!”

After sending the good morning message, Jiang Yuan skipped out of the room to wash up.

Her parents exchanged surprised glances. Little Yuan Yuan had been a bit teary yesterday, but today she was full of energy?

“Ugh!”

Lin Senmu woke up close to noon, his head pounding. “Damn, is this the aftermath of drinking?”

When he found his phone under the pillow and saw Jiang Yuan’s good morning message, his headache inexplicably eased a bit.

“Lazy pig, it’s almost one. We went to bed around the same time, and I was up by nine!”

Jiang Yuan replied instantly.

Lin Senmu explained, “It was my first time drinking yesterday, and I couldn’t sleep in the middle of the night. I finally checked the time at 5:20 in the morning!”

It was actually 5:03 in the morning, but he added seventeen minutes on purpose.

To avoid being mocked by Lin Senmu for overthinking, Jiang Yuan shook off her wandering thoughts and snorted, “Serves you right, you’ve even learned to drink now.”

“I’ve never tried it,” Jiang Yuan replied honestly. As a freshly graduated high school student, aside from the more rebellious crowd, most hadn’t touched alcohol.

However, the upcoming graduation gatherings and the new university life in September would undoubtedly create countless drinking legends.

“You’re so weak. Next time we get the chance, I’ll drink you under the table in no time!” Lin Senmu boasted shamelessly.

“Scheming king, you just want to get me drunk and do something bad, don’t you?” Jiang Yuan sent a knife emoji.

“Hehe, you caught me!” Lin Senmu chuckled mischievously.

“Lin Senmu, I need to ask you something!” Jiang Yuan suddenly said.

“What is it?” Lin Senmu became serious upon hearing her tone, his smile fading slightly.

Jiang Yuan hesitated, struggling to find the right words before finally asking, “That video of ours… has anyone else seen it besides you and me?”

Lin Senmu, whose intelligence was always sharp, instantly understood. “Don’t worry, even the owner of the RV doesn’t know. I deleted the original file from the RV after copying it.”

“There’s more I want to say, but I can’t bring myself to!” Jiang Yuan’s face flushed with embarrassment. The video in the RV had shown her and Lin Senmu in a vulnerable state, and she, Yuan Yuan, would never keep something like that!!

She wanted to ask Lin Senmu to delete it.

Lin Senmu fully grasped Jiang Yuan’s thoughts. He pondered for a moment—this was something that required careful consideration!

Then, he scrolled through their chat history and deleted the video he had sent her the previous night, removing it from both the chat window and the history.

“Yuan Yuan, look at my phone’s photo album. I’ve screenshotted all the pictures for you to see. And the video I sent you in our chat, I’ve deleted that too,” Lin Senmu assured her.

Jiang Yuan let out a long sigh of relief and, for the first time, sent Lin Senmu an ‘Affectionate stickers’ emoji: “Lin Senmu, you’re so good!”

“More!” Lin Senmu wasn’t satisfied with just one sticker.

“You stole my sticker!” Jiang Yuan hit him with a hammer emoji.

“Yuan Yuan, I’ve got a call coming in. I’ll get back to you later!” Lin Senmu replied to Jiang Yuan before answering Nie Hao’s call, “What’s up, Haozi?”

“Wood, where are you? I just woke up. Want to grab lunch together?” Nie Hao asked over the phone.

“Venus Hotel, the one across from the bar last night!” Lin Senmu informed him.

“What a coincidence! I’m here too. I got too drunk last night and crashed nearby. I’m in room 811!”

“OK, I’ll get up and get ready. I’ll come up to find you later!” After hanging up, Lin Senmu messaged Jiang Yuan, “Babe, Nie Hao’s asking me to have lunch with him. I’m getting up now!”

“Go ahead, go ahead!” The message Jiang Yuan sent in the chat seemed normal.

After reading it, Lin Senmu was about to turn off his phone and get ready, but a new message immediately popped up. Jiang Yuan added, “How many girls have you called ‘babe’ before?”

Soon, the date flipped to the early hours of the morning.
