The next morning at six o’clock, Su Bai got up on time.
Lin Xiao rubbed his sleepy eyes and held onto Su Bai’s slender wrist: “Stay and sleep with me a little longer.”
Su Bai hesitated slightly: “I want to wash up first, then go for a run. After the run, I’ll buy you breakfast. After breakfast, I’ll study vocabulary until 8:30, then go to class.”
A life so routine and precise, it was almost like a robot…
Lin Xiao domineeringly pushed Su Bai back into the covers and lightly touched his lips: “I don’t care. It’s our first day dating, you have to spend time with me.”
Su Bai’s eyes lit up, as if he had thought of a great idea: “You’re right. Then let’s go for a run together, have breakfast in the cafeteria together after the run, study vocabulary together after breakfast, and go to class together at 8:30.”
Lin Xiao thought for a moment, dissatisfied: “You just added the word ‘together’ to each sentence!”
Su Bai responded righteously: “Running is good for your health, and we need to make sure we keep up with memorizing vocabulary, even if it’s just ten words a day.”
“On the first day of dating, I wake up and get told to go running and memorize vocabulary? Who the hell does that? Seriously?”
Lin Xiao couldn’t take it anymore and kissed Su Bai so hard he couldn’t speak.
However, five minutes later…
He really couldn’t outlast the old ‘cadre’!
Su Bai, holding an enamel washbasin and enamel toothbrush cup, looked satisfied and said, “That’s more like it. Come on, let’s wash our faces and brush our teeth.”
Lin Xiao glared at him: “Hmph!”
Su Bai carefully tugged at Lin Xiao’s shirt hem: “Don’t be angry.”
Lin Xiao pulled a stern face: “I am angry. You made me run first thing in the morning.”
Su Bai slightly tilted his head, gazing intently into Lin Xiao’s eyes, and said with serious precision: “From today on, you’re mine. But look at you, always staying up late playing games and on your phone, irregular eating, and no exercise. If you keep this up, your body might break down while you’re still young. Many young people like you are in a sub-health state now—no major problems, but poor physical condition and weak immunity. When you get older, it could lead to big issues, so don’t take it lightly.”
Lin Xiao stared at him without blinking.
As Su Bai spoke, his face began to turn red: “Even if you think I’m annoying, I have to supervise your health. I want to be with you for the rest of our lives, and I hope that we can stay healthy and happy together as we grow old.”
Lin Xiao took a deep breath, said nothing and pressed Su Bai against the wardrobe, kissing him passionately once again. Then, with a swift movement, he pulled up hos zipper and said, ” Let’s go, time to run.”
I must be crazy, Lin Xiao thought.
The campus heartthrob had actually been moved by a lecture in the style of an old cadre.
It was 7 a.m. by the time they finished their run.
The cafeteria had just started serving breakfast.
As Lin Xiao walked toward the cafeteria, he took a deep breath of the fresh morning air and couldn’t help but say, “A bit of exercise in the morning feels really good.”
Su Bai nodded with a hint of pride: “Isn’t it? You’ll have energy the whole day, and sleep well at night too.”
Lin Xiao smiled as he looked at him.

The two of them bought egg pancakes, side dishes, and porridge at the cafeteria, sitting face-to-face to start their meal.
Lin Xiao scooped up some porridge and brought it to Su Bai’s lips, saying, “Open your mouth.”
Su Bai quickly glanced around. Seeing a few students at the next table, he shyly turned his head away and said, “I’ll eat it myself.”
Lin Xiao’s spoon followed, gently urging, “Hurry up.”
He had been wanting to feed him like this for a while.
Every time he saw others in the cafeteria showing off their love, feeding each other like that, Lin Xiao thought to himself that one day, he would do the same and proudly show it off.
Lin Xiao released a breath of frustration that had been pent up for years…
Su Bai lowered his eyelids, glancing at the table, and finally opened his mouth to eat.
Lin Xiao smiled in satisfaction. “Now, feed me.
Su Bai obediently scooped up some porridge and fed it to him, then quickly put down the spoon, picked up the chopsticks, and fed him some side dish. Once Lin Xiao swallowed, he picked up a piece of egg pancake and fed it to him.
Even feeding was done in a routine: a bite of porridge, a bite of side dish, a bite of pancake—methodical, striving for perfection…
And so, the breakfast passed in this sticky, sweet atmosphere.
