Xie Bingyan’s breathing quickened as she turned to look at Xu Deming.

Xu Deming frowned, his expression grave.

“Get Li Shu over here and bring the surveillance footage! I want to see the exact day he stopped coming to the dining room for meals!” Xie Bingyan declared angrily.

“Yes!”

Zhao Ma quickly summoned Li Shu.

Li Shu promptly arrived, “Madam, did you call for me?”

“Li Shu, immediately retrieve the surveillance footage of the dining room! I want to see from which day Xu Mo stopped coming down for meals!” Xie Bingyan requested.

Li Shu glanced at both of them, slightly surprised, then nodded, “Of course, madam and sir, please wait a moment.”

Xie Bingyan’s breath quickened, her eyes filled with anger.

This disobedient child dared to skip meals. It was simply outrageous, a lack of discipline.

She immediately glared at Xu Deming and snapped, “Xu Deming, this child of yours is completely useless! He’s grown up, does he need someone to call him for meals? Can’t he come down on his own to eat? Xu Deming, you need to severely discipline him, or he will become utterly worthless!”

Xu Deming fell silent, looking at the medical records, lost in thought.

The surveillance footage was quickly retrieved by Li Shu and sent to their tablets.

Xie Bingyan and Xu Deming hurriedly looked at the footage.

“Sir, madam, for the past three months, there’s been no sign of Young Master Mo coming down to eat! He’s been making noodles for himself in the kitchen or secretly eating leftovers from the fridge! He hasn’t been joining everyone at the table!” Li Shu reported.

“What?” Xie Bingyan was surprised.

“This is footage of Young Master Mo sneaking to eat leftovers. It was probably around 11 pm when he was hungry and came down to eat secretly! He didn’t dare to turn on the light, so it’s a bit blurry!” Li Shu explained. “Also, here he is in the kitchen, cooking noodles for himself! And the leftovers, he’s eating what others left!”

Xie Bingyan was astonished, “Why would he do this?”

“Well…” Li Shu hesitated, “I think Zhao Ma should know about this! It’s probably because  third and fourth Young Ladies  don’t like to eat with Young Master Mo and seldom call for him! Also, if Young Master Junzhe is at home, he comes down even less! Young Master Mo usually handles things on his own!”

Xie Bingyan fell silent, her gaze fixed on the screen, the fury in her eyes escalating.

“What does he want to achieve? Why doesn’t he come down to eat? Even if the third and fourth daughters dislike him, he could still come down to eat! What does this have to do with Junzhe? Who stopped him from eating?” she erupted in anger.

“I remember, madam, you seemed to have told him that he wasn’t allowed eat. Young Master Mo probably thought that he wasn’t allowed to eat at the table, so he stopped coming down,” Li Shu explained.

Xie Bingyan widened her eyes in disbelief, “I said something like that?”

Li Shu remained silent, not daring to say much.

“Madam, this is the last time Young Master Mo was recorded eating at the dining table! It seems that Young Master Mo tried to pick up a piece of chicken, and it fell on the table. He wanted to pick it up again to eat, but you and the young ladies suddenly got angry and drove him away!” Li Shu retrieved a recording and handed it to her.

“After that, Young Master Mo never came down to eat again!” Li Shu added.

Xie Bingyan glanced at the footage, her surprise evident.

Since the surveillance footage had no sound, she couldn’t hear what was being said. She only saw herself and a few of her daughters suddenly becoming angry, giving a stern admonition to Xu Mo, making him stand in punishment, and forbidding him to eat.

“I can’t remember what I said at that time,” Xie Bingyan admitted.

Li Shu glanced at Zhao Ma, hesitating.

“I can’t recall! Why don’t you tell her?”

“That day, madam said that if this bad habit didn’t change, Young Master Mo would never be allowed to eat here again! After finishing his punishment, Young Master Mo just went back!” Li Shu explained.

“I said such things?” Xie Bingyan was surprised.

“Madam! Indeed, Young Master Mo hasn’t come down since then. He probably took it seriously and only dared to eat secretly in the kitchen! The other young ladies also didn’t call for him to eat! It’s likely this reason that led to Young Master Mo’s malnutrition!” Zhao Ma hastily interjected. Then she added, “Madam and sir, perhaps it’s best to take Young Master Mo out and have a look! After all, he hasn’t been home for many days!”

Xie Bingyan truly couldn’t remember saying such things.

She pondered for a moment, then sneered, “Even if he’s like this, it serves him right! Xu Deming, come with me for a while!”

Xu Deming furrowed his brow and asked, “Where are we going?”

“Where else can we go? We’re going to his school! I want to see where he’s been loafing around these past few days!” Xie Bingyan gritted her teeth.
