Chapter 14: My Admired Elder Sister!

Xu Wanting sighed, “Mom, have you forgotten? You’ve already signed on the severance document!”

“What?” Xie Bingyan fumed.

“Both you and Dad signed it! And Xu Mo seems to have taken it seriously,” Xu Wanting patiently explained. “And Mom, you haven’t forgotten, have you? Xu Mo was an orphan before. He grew up in an orphanage!”

“What are you trying to say? Just because we signed something, he’s rebelling? Xu Wanting, let me tell you, even if we signed, he won’t escape from my control!”

“Mom, what do you actually want to do by looking for him? You don’t give him food, clothes, or even pocket money! What’s the point of bringing him back home?” Xu Wanting couldn’t help but speak out. “Are you trying to trap him in the Xu family?”

“…” Xie Bingyan was furious, “What are you talking about?”

“The doctor has already said that Xu Mo is malnourished! He has no food to eat in our Xu family, and he can’t eat anything! I don’t understand why you want to bring him back home?” Xu Wanting spoke up, still unable to expose her true feelings.

“He’s your own brother, of course we have to bring him back home! Are we going to let him continue wandering outside? He’s still young, and if we don’t watch over him closely, with his bad habits, he’ll surely become unruly in the future! Xu Wanting, let me tell you, he can’t go anywhere. He has to stay in my Xu family!” Xie Bingyan fumed. “This time, he has annoyed me so much by staying away from home for so long. If he dares to come back, I’ll skin him alive!”

Listening to this, Xu Wanting felt a chill in her heart.

She hadn’t expected Xie Bingyan to think this way.

In the past, she might have felt it was justifiable.

But now, she felt as if she had fallen into an ice cave, sending shivers down her spine.

“Mom, how could you…” Xu Wanting took a deep breath, tears welling up in her eyes. “Why do you hate him so much? What did he do to make you hate him like this? Do you want to push him to his death?”

“What nonsense are you talking about? He’s your brother! I’m doing this for his own good!” Xie Bingyan fumed. “Where did you learn all this nonsense? Did Xu Mo tell you? Let me tell you, Xu Wanting, if those bad habits of his are not completely eradicated, he can forget about setting foot in my Xu family’s door!”

Listening to this, Xu Wanting found it ludicrous and tearfully said, “Mom, well, you’ve done it! He won’t come home!”

With that, Xu Wanting ended the call directly.

Xie Bingyan was suddenly furious. “Xu Deming, our eldest daughter is out of control! How dare she hang up on me! She’s completely unruly!”

“Did she say where Xu Mo is?” Xu Deming asked.

“No! I’ll call the second one!” Xie Bingyan, filled with frustration, didn’t hesitate. She dialed the number of the second daughter, Xu Xuehui.

At that moment, Xu Xuehui was at home, hesitating whether to check the information on her phone. She felt she lacked the courage to do so, finding it hard to accept.

When Xie Bingyan called, she was flipping through other books.

“Second daughter, do you know where Xu Mo is?”

Xu Xuehui was taken aback and hastily responded, “I don’t know! Ask elder sister, she might know!”

“What’s going on with your elder sister? How dare she hang up on me!” Xie Bingyan fumed.

“Elder sister hung up on your call?” Xu Xuehui was surprised and quickly said, “Mom, please don’t get angry. Maybe elder sister has other things to attend to! We’ll find out when she returns!”

“Immediately inform your elder sister to come home right away!” Xie Bingyan fumed.

“Okay! I’ll inform elder sister right away!”

With that, Xu Xuehui hurriedly called Xu Wanting.

“Sis, why did you hang up on mom’s call? Mom’s already upset!” Xu Xuehui said.

Xu Wanting sniffled, “Second sister, did you check the those chats and information?”

“No, I didn’t dare to! Sis, it’s about Xu Mo…” Xu Xuehui hesitated.

“Look through it and then tell me,” Xu Wanting said.

“Sis, don’t end the call yet! Mom wants you to come home immediately!” Xu Xuehui hastily said.

“Got it!” Xu Wanting ended the call.

Xu Mo still hadn’t been found, and his whereabouts were unknown.

Xu Wanting was starting to feel unsure of what to do. She sniffled and took out her phone to review the records once again.

A post appeared with numerous albums and photos.

It was a post from Xu Mo using his QQ account.

The post contained a few words: “Elder sister took me on an outing!”

Under the post, there were countless photos. Xu Wanting wasn’t sure when Xu Mo had taken them.

He had left a caption for each photo.

“Elder sister took me to the park!”

“Elder sister said she’s too scared to ride the roller coaster!”

“Elder sister seems tired, she must be busy with work!”

“Elder sister took me to the beach!”

“Elder sister bought me ice cream!”

“Elder sister took me to the science museum!”

“Elder sister…”

“Elder sister…”

“Elder sister…”

Xu Wanting remembered that particular ice cream incident.

At that time, Xu Wanting, in order to resolve a conflict and worried that Xu Junzhe might hold a grudge, had taken Xu Mo and Xu Junzhe on an outing.

Originally, Xu Wanting bought the ice cream for Xu Junzhe, but he suddenly didn’t want it, so he handed it to Xu Mo.

Upon receiving it, Xu Mo immediately took it as if it were a treasure, excited beyond measure.

Xu Wanting remembered how, before taking the ice cream, he even nervously wiped the sweat from his hands on his clothes. At that moment, she frowned, finding it unhygienic and somewhat repulsive.

But despite that, Xu Mo accepted it with immense joy.

All the photos in this post were either hers or related to her. Xu Wanting remembered that on that outing, none of them had finished strolling around.

Xu Junzhe seemed to find it uninteresting and went home halfway through, using being busy with work as an excuse. This allowed Xu Mo to take a taxi home by himself.

At that time, Xu Wanting didn’t think much of it, but now, looking back, her heart clenched and she found it hard to breathe.

“Young Entrepreneur Representative to speak later, elder sister will be on stage! I’ll be watching from below!”

Suddenly, Xu Wanting came across another post, also about her.

“Beautiful, knowledgeable, and intellectual elder sister!”

“Forever elegant, forever outstanding, forever beautiful!”

“My revered elder sister whom I admire so much!”

Tears welled up in Xu Wanting’s eyes once again.

She quickly squatted down, covering her mouth, unable to suppress the tears that surged out.

She remembered that time when she spoke on stage.

It was at a conference in the small town.
