Gao Caier was trained in dancing, with an excellent figure that was not inferior to Gu Huanxi’s.
Her mother was a businesswoman and also a social butterfly. Gao Caier had been influenced since childhood and understood the importance of wealth.
Therefore, after entering Tsinghua University, she immediately set her sights on wealthy young men from prominent families.
Similar to her mother, she was also a social butterfly, but she hid her intentions very well, making it difficult for many people to see her true face.
Initially, Xie Bingyan opposed Junzhe’s relationship with Gao Caier because she came from a single-parent family with a modest background. However, later on, Xie Bingyan, along with the others, came to approve of their relationship.
Gao Caier was adept at disguising herself and eventually won the hearts of Xie Bingyan and others through subtle means. After graduation, she married into the Xu family.
Once she was in the family, whether it was Xu Wanting, Xu Man, Xu Manni or Xu Xuehui, they couldn’t outsmart her.
Xie Bingyan and the others would experience what real heartless people are like.
To be frank, although Xu Mo despised Xu Wanting and Xu Xuehui, wishing they’d die sooner, when it came to playing tricks, they were just kindergarten level.
They were all rich young ladies, overly protected, and had never experienced the harsh realities of life. In the face of true evil, they were like innocent little lambs.
But Gao Caier was different. She knew what she wanted early on and didn’t hesitate to use any means necessary.
Xu Mo encountered her again at school!
She seemed quite interested in Xu Mo.
Seeing Xu Mo eating alone in the cafeteria with his lunchbox, she approached with her own lunchbox, smiling brightly and asking, “Classmate Xu Mo, long time no see. May I sit here?”
Her lips curved up in a slight surprise, as if she had dressed up for the occasion, wearing a camisole that highlighted her delicate collarbones and fair arms, along with a light purple dress, looking ethereal and stunning.
She does have some charm, otherwise, she wouldn’t have bewitched Xu Junzhe like that.
“Sure! Please, have a seat,” Xu Mo replied, happy to chat with her and catch up, seeing if there were any new developments with her.
Gao Caier sat down and smiled, saying, “It’s surprising to meet Xu Mo here in the cafeteria. Usually, people like you go to fancy restaurants, don’t they? Why are you eating here with us poor folks?”
Xu Mo replied, “Just find it convenient! Besides, there’s nothing much going on, so I can eat and go back to the dorm to sleep. Going to a fancy restaurant would take much more time!”
“Oh? So does Xu Mo often eat in the cafeteria then?” Gao Caier asked with a smile, casually adjusting her shiny hair.
“Often!” Xu Mo nodded, finding Xu Junzhe’s fiancĂ©e quite interesting.
Gao Caier smiled and said, “I didn’t see anyone else with Xu Mo. It seems like Huanxi went out to eat with others today and didn’t come to the cafeteria. She likes to go out for stir-fry, just like a few guys in our class!”
Xu Mo glanced at her and found her even more intriguing.
This girl seemed unchanged.
Her words contained a subtle hint, intentionally or not, reminding Xu Mo that Gu Huanxi wasn’t a simple person. She probably didn’t understand their relationship very well, hence her comment.
“Really? She didn’t mention it to me,” Xu Mo replied calmly.
“I don’t know either! I heard it from people in the class. They say Huanxi goes out every day at noon! Maybe she’s busy with work!” Gao Caier mentioned Gu Huanxi, actually feeling quite jealous inside, but she didn’t dare show too much in front of Xu Mo. She smiled and continued, “How did Xu Mo get to know Huanxi? They say Xu Mo led them in starting their business together, right?”
“We’ve known each other since high school!” Xu Mo replied.
“Oh? Same high school? So, you were classmates before!” Gao Caier exclaimed.
Xu Mo nodded.
“No wonder you two get along so well! I’m actually very envious that Huanxi has such a good classmate like you! By the way, let’s exchange WeChat! Let’s stay in touch when we have time!” Gao Caier suggested with a smile.
Xu Mo hesitated for a moment, then nodded and said, “Sure.”
Upon hearing this, Gao Caier’s face lit up with surprise. “Xu Mo, you agreed? That’s so exciting! In the future, if you’re eating alone, you can call me! I often eat in this cafeteria too. Otherwise, eating alone must feel quite lonely!”
“Great!” Xu Mo nodded.
After exchanging WeChat, Gao Caier seemed to chatter incessantly, whether genuinely happy or pretending to be, talking non-stop about class matters, then about Gu Huanxi and Li Banzhuang, and finally about Xu Mo’s entrepreneurial ventures. To avoid displeasing Xu Mo, she mostly praised Gu Huanxi, Li Banzhuang, and others. She carefully observed Xu Mo’s reactions while speaking, only continuing confidently when she saw no change in his expression.
Although Xu Mo was eating, he noticed all the subtle changes in her facial expressions.
As they neared the end of their conversation, Gao Caier smiled and said, “Xu Mo, having a meal with you is truly delightful! I hope there will be another time!”
Xu Mo replied, “There should be another time, when we both have free time.”
“Really? Xu Mo, another time?” Gao Caier almost jumped with joy.
Xu Mo nodded.
“Yes!” Gao Caier exclaimed excitedly.
Xu Mo smiled faintly and then turned to leave.
It seemed that Gao Caier’s happiness was genuine, not feigned.

Xu Mo smiled faintly and then turned to leave.
It seemed that Gao Caier’s happiness was genuine, not feigned.
She knew exactly what she wanted, and everything she desired was embodied by Xu Mo, far exceeding her expectations. Therefore, winning Xu Mo’s favor naturally made her happy.
Xu Mo paid no mind to her and quickly returned to his dormitory.
He didn’t underestimate Gao Caier, Making sure his interactions with her wouldn’t affect Xu Junzhe. Xu Mo had already received word that she had dinner plans with Xu Junzhe yesterday.
What does it mean to be a social butterfly?
This is what it means!
Compared to Gao Caier, Xu Wanting, and others like her are far behind!
“Xu Mo!” Gu Huanxi opened the video and called him.
“Yeah! Have you eaten?” Xu Mo asked.
“Eaten! But why are you investigating Gao Caier?” Gu Huanxi asked in surprise.
“Naturally, it serves another purpose. Did you get information on her mother? Send it to me if you did!” Xu Mo replied.
“Alright! I’ll forward it to you.” Gu Huanxi sent him a piece of information.
“Xu Mo, I have to remind you, Gao Caier is not an ordinary person! I don’t want you to have too much contact with her. Her background and experiences are very different from ours,” Gu Huanxi cautioned.
Xu Mo hesitated for a moment. “I understand.”
“And also, try to reduce having meals with her in the future. I’ll have Tang Lei keep an eye on you!” Gu Huanxi’s face turned serious, sensing a threat.
Xu Mo smiled faintly. “I have my plans. For now, you don’t need to worry. I know my limits.”
“Xu Mo…” Gu Huanxi hesitated, as if wanting to say more but holding back.
“Rest assured! It’s nothing serious. I just want to see how capable she really is!” Xu Mo chuckled. “Let’s have dinner together later!”
“Oh?” Gu Huanxi was momentarily stunned, then quickly nodded in agreement. “Okay, great! I’ll call you after school!”
“Sounds good!”
Gu Huanxi looked visibly happy, forgetting about probing into Gao Caier’s affairs as she promptly ended the video call.
