Chapter 144: I Will Make Him Pay!

“No need to bother, I just need to fill my stomach,” Xu Mo shook his head.

“Why not bother? I see you’ve been too busy to eat properly lately, and you’ve lost quite a bit of weight!” Gu Huanxi complained, looking slightly aggrieved.

Xu Mo chuckled, “Alright then, let’s give it a try!”

Hearing this, Gu Huanxi couldn’t help but feel happy. “Let’s eat then! This place is quite delicious!”

They continued chatting, discussing various school matters. Gu Huanxi was skilled in cooking, and Xu Mo and others had eaten her cooking many times before. It was excellent—better than the cafeteria food when she was willing to cook.

However, they were often too busy to arrange meals together, so eating at the cafeteria was more convenient.

As they ate and chatted, they relaxed and enjoyed themselves. After finishing their meal, Xu Mo went to retrieve his bicycle, and they walked back towards the school together.

The bicycle Xu Mo rode was a carbon fiber model, costing over a million yuan, specifically bought for his physical exercise. He could easily lift it.

The two weren’t in a hurry to return to school, so they strolled leisurely, admiring the sunset appearing on the horizon. Gradually, however, they arrived at the school gate.

Suddenly, a red sports car stopped not far away. The door swung open, and a furious young woman with a swollen red face burst out, ready to pounce on Xu Mo with teeth and claws bared.

But someone held her back, preventing her from approaching.

Who else but Xu Xuehui?

The woman with the fiery temper was none other than Xu Pandi.

She didn’t look to be in good shape, with disheveled hair, swollen eyes suggesting recent tears, and a clear slap mark on her lively face, likely from a serious slap.

Even as Xu Xuehui held her back, she continued to struggle fiercely, trying to lunge towards Xu Mo. Seeing this, Xu Mo couldn’t help but burst into laughter.

“Gu Huanxi, you should head back first. I’ll handle them,” Xu Mo turned to Gu Huanxi and said.

Gu Huanxi glanced at him. “Let me stay and see.”

Xu Mo chuckled. “Alright then, but don’t get involved.”

“Okay.” Gu Huanxi agreed slightly relieved.

“Xu Mo, don’t walk away! Stop right there! How can your heart be so black? I hate you!” Xu Pandi screamed hysterically.

In response, Xu Xuehui, annoyed by her relentless tirade, slapped her across the face.

This seemed to calm Xu Pandi down a bit.

Walking over, Xu Mo smiled. “I haven’t done anything. I merely revealed some facts. If that’s a crime, then you should have been punished long ago!”

“You still want to know how I’ll deal with you?” Xu Pandi roared angrily.

“Deal with me?” Xu Mo chuckled derisively. “Sorry, I’m not that interested in you. Frankly, I couldn’t be bothered. I just find this whole situation amusing! Besides, weren’t you planning to go after me too? Why pretend to be innocent?”

“You dare… You dare…” Xu Pandi, feeling deeply wronged, continued to lash out at Xu Mo, teeth bared and claws out.

“Oh! Feeling abandoned by a man makes you lose your composure, huh? Xu Pandi, I knew this day would come for you! Quite spectacular!” Xu Mo laughed. “I’m sure Xie Bingyan’s reaction must be priceless. I could predict this, and I’ve dreamt of seeing it! Let’s see what kind of person she’s given birth to!”

“Xu Mo!” Xu Xuehui frowned, suddenly displeased.

“Xu Xuehui, you came up from Xiahai City specifically for this, didn’t you? Should I continue exposing Xu Pandi’s affairs to you?” Xu Mo turned to her.

“No need! You handled this matter well. It’s better to cut ties with him sooner rather than later!” Xu Xuehui sighed helplessly.

“But…” Xu Mo smiled faintly. “But this isn’t over yet! Xu Pandi, go ahead and sue me! You’ve got plenty of materials from me, right? Go ahead and sue!”

Upon hearing this, Xu Pandi stared at him motionlessly.

A hint of mockery played on Xu Mo’s lips. Without saying more, he walked towards the school with Gu Huanxi by his side.

Gu Huanxi glanced at Xu Xuehui and Xu Pandi, narrowed her eyes, and followed Xu Mo.

“Wait! Miss Gu, can I talk to you for a moment?” Xu Xuehui suddenly called out to Gu Huanxi.

“No need! Let’s go!” Xu Mo turned back and said.

Gu Huanxi glanced over, sighed softly, and didn’t engage with Xu Xuehui. She turned away and left.

Xu Xuehui couldn’t help but feel helpless.

This girl seemed to have a good relationship with Xu Mo and had been partners for several years.

If she could chat with her for a few moments, maybe she could find a breakthrough with Xu Mo. Unfortunately, Xu Mo had no intention of smoothing things over between them.

Turning back, Xu Xuehui saw Xu Pandi sitting on the ground, sobbing quietly, her face full of resentment and frustration.

She had just come out to settle scores with Xu Mo, and if it weren’t for Xu Xuehui keeping an eye on her, who knows what trouble might have ensued.

After some thought, Xu Xuehui retrieved a video clip from her phone and played it in front of Xu Pandi. She said to her, “Do you remember, Xiao Si? That day, Xu Mo had just returned home after about a year away. You had a big wolfhound that almost bit Xu Mo. Do you remember what you did that day?”

“What did I do?” Xu Pandi, disinterested in watching the video and annoyed that Xu Xuehui was blocking her from confronting Xu Mo, responded with resentment.

Seeing her lack of interest, Xu Xuehui gritted her teeth, restraining the urge to slap her. “You made him kneel down and apologize to the dog! We watched as you did it, don’t you remember?”

Xu Pandi froze for a moment, her eyes widening slightly.

“This is the video, take a good look at it yourself! We’ve already found it!” Xu Xuehui indicated her phone.

Xu Pandi hurriedly looked at the phone and suddenly recognized the familiar scene inside. It seemed that this incident had indeed happened.

“I and Eldest Sister have both seen it! I was sitting beside, eating!” Xu Xuehui continued, “You need to understand, Xu Mo has never really retaliated against you all these years. Even when things were rough between you, he never targeted you. This situation now is an exception!”

Xu Pandi fell silent, then angrily retorted, “But he shouldn’t have exposed my private affairs online, humiliating me, ruining my reputation! He wants me dead!”

“Yes! You’re right! He does want you dead if he could! Do you think he wants you alive? No! He’s wanted you dead for a long time!” Xu Xuehui, seeing no remorse from her, grew visibly angry.

“Second Elder Sister…” Xu Pandi stared at her in astonishment.

“If you really have the guts, then go ahead and sue! But don’t blame me for not warning you. If you continue sneaking around with that man, whispering behind our backs, don’t think that everything will end with just  Mom slapping you—Eldest Sister and I will do the same!” Xu Xuehui glared at her angrily.

Xu Pandi felt aggrieved in her heart and roared, “I have plenty of evidence of Xu Mo’s company’s illegal activities. I will sue him, I will bankrupt him!”

Smack! Xu Xuehui slapped her across the face. “You dare say that?”

“I’m saying it! He has already ruined my reputation. I will never let him off!” Despite being slapped, Xu Pandi remained defiant.

Xu Xuehui raised her hand, as if to slap her again, but thought better of it and restrained herself. “Fine! Go ahead and sue! Let’s see what you can actually bring against him. Xu Pandi, if you really want to drag this on endlessly, then so be it!”

“I will make him pay! I will never let him off easy!” Xu Pandi couldn’t calm down at all. She felt incredibly stifled and refused to even look at what was on the phone, quickly getting into her car.

Xu Xuehui was truly infuriated, almost unable to resist slapping her to wake her up.

But after a moment’s thought, she restrained herself and dialed a number on her phone, calling her eldest sister. “Sister, as you suspected, Fourth Sister shows no remorse at all!”

“I see,” Xu Wanting replied.
