Delayed Affection is Cheaper than Grass; Why Cry When I Depart? Chapter 15.1

Chapter 15: In the Long Run, It’s Always Rising

As for the later arrival of Xie Bingyan, Xu Mo couldn’t be bothered. Lin Chuyu called him, but Xu Mo had the school reject them all.

There was nothing to discuss!

He didn’t know what they were up to, coming to find him.

After waiting a day, the price of bananas finally reached 2.3 yuan per pound, causing everyone to be instantly on edge.

“It’s reached 2.3 yuan per pound, more than doubled! The price is about right!” Tang Lei exclaimed excitedly.

“Xu Mo, should we sell now?” Gu Huanxi fixed his gaze on Xu Mo.

Even though the price of bananas hadn’t reached their anticipated peak of 2.5 yuan per pound, for the present, it was sufficient.

To reach the highest price, they would need exceptionally high-quality bananas.

Their bananas had been stored for several days, and selling at such a high price might be challenging.

Market opportunities are fleeting, and seizing the moment is crucial for making substantial profits.

“Sell! Sell it all!” Xu Mo waved his hand decisively.

“Alright, let’s sell! I’ll head to the wholesale market!”

“I’ll contact the boss, and I’ll arrange for the truck!”

With this command, everyone became excited and swiftly got busy.

Many hands make light work.

They were not the dawdling type. When it came to getting things done, they were always efficient and decisive.

With over 20,000 pounds of bananas, they quickly contacted the boss at the wholesale market!

The banana boss was aware of the rising market prices. When he heard that Xu Mo had over 20,000 pounds, he promptly dispatched a nine-meter-long truck to collect them.

“Wait, you bought these bananas five days ago?”

The banana boss seemed to remember this batch of bananas.

At that time, Xu Mo and the other three went to the wholesale market to make purchases, approaching several bosses for procurement. Their young age and school uniforms made them stand out in the banana market.

“Exactly! Purchased five days ago! We’ve been storing them here these past few days! Boss, rest assured, we water the bananas daily, so they are in excellent condition!” Xu Mo said with a smile.

Upon hearing this, the boss immediately gave them a thumbs-up, displaying admiration on his face.

“Impressive! You guys are impressive! Bravo!”

Tang Lei, Gu Huanxi, and the others couldn’t help but smile upon hearing this. Because of this incident, their reputation began to spread within the wholesale market.

A few high school students engaging in business and making tens of thousands of yuan in the blink of an eye was a rare occurrence. Consequently, including the boss and even the landlord who rented the warehouse to Xu Mo and the others, everyone was highly impressed.

Selling the bananas was straightforward; they were simply weighed as they were brought out in baskets.

This time, they had accumulated a total of 23,000 pounds of bananas and over 1,000 pounds of longans, enough to fill their pockets.

As they finished selling all the bananas and longans, everyone couldn’t help but feel excited as they looked at the money in their hands.

“We’ve made money! We’ve made a fortune!”

“We’ve made big money. No need to worry about the expenses for the college entrance examination!”

“Let’s prepare some dishes and celebrate together! Xu Mo, you deserve the most credit; take a larger share!” Li Banzhuang laughed.

Xu Mo laughed, “How can that be? I don’t need this money! We should divide the profits based on our contributions; whoever invests more gets more!”

Tang Lei chuckled, “Xu Mo, Banzhuang is right! This time, you made the biggest contribution. Without you, we wouldn’t have earned this much. Take a larger share!”

Gu Huanxi also smiled, “That’s right, Xu Mo. We’ll each give you a tenth of the profits, and the rest is for us. We are already content!”

Xu Mo was immediately amused, “I invested more than you all did; I put in over 10,000 yuan! Don’t worry about it; just take your own money for now!”

Upon hearing this, the others stopped insisting, and one of them said, “What about next time, Xu Mo? What should we do next? We already have our costs covered!”

Xu Mo smiled and replied, “Of course, there will be a next time, but we need to focus on studying first. The college entrance exam is approaching, and we must do well!”

“Alright!”

In this second life, Xu Mo naturally had a lot of money-making skills and various investment ideas.

Although Bitcoin was crucial, Xu Mo was well aware that it was unlikely for someone like him to make big money in Bitcoin. It was evident that Bitcoin was being manipulated, and Xu Mo wouldn’t put all his hopes into it.

“Invest in industries, start an online store, develop mobile games, invest in real estate, and get into news and information, make headline news, and invest in Mi Haoyou…” [1]Mi Haoyou is a Chinese mobile game company known for developing and publishing various mobile games. It’s often involved in the production of popular mobile games in the Chinese market.

It was 2013, and real estate was on the rise. With the widespread use of smartphones, numerous games were transitioning to mobile platforms.

That year marked a surge in mobile gaming, with countless individuals reaping substantial profits. As a high school student with limited knowledge of software, Xu Mo wasn’t likely to create games himself. However, he could still invest in stocks to make money, not just limited to Bitcoin.

After accumulating a significant sum of money, he could invest in some businesses, establish his own company, and engage in various ventures.

Xu Mo refrained from discussing these plans with Tang Lei, Gu Huanxi, and others for the time being, fearing that it might affect their college entrance exams.

With the money in hand, he spent 2,000 yuan to purchase a laptop for himself. He began registering on the Huobi exchange, opening an account at a securities firm, and set the money rolling.

As Huobi had not been shut down yet that year, and Bitcoin was still not widely recognized, purchasing it was relatively straightforward. Xu Mo spent just a day and received his first Bitcoin on the Huobi exchange.

Bitcoin was stored locally, and Huobi was merely a trading platform. As long as he protected his purchases, they would be secure.

Furthermore, the price of Bitcoin wasn’t continually rising; it fluctuated, resembling a rollercoaster with its ups and downs. However, in the long run, it kept rising.

Hence, if Xu Mo could capitalize on these price fluctuations, he could continuously profit from the differences, reaping substantial gains.

It had been three days since they last found Xu Mo. Xu Wanting was getting anxious. They went to the school to look for him, but the school informed them that they weren’t Xu Mo’s sisters or relatives. Xu Mo had always been an orphan, which further shocked Xu Wanting.

She turned to Xie Bingyan, who coldly smirked, “If he’s not at school, then where could he be?”

Xie Bingyan evaded the question, likely out of carelessness or a reluctance to acknowledge Xu Mo’s relationship. In retrospect, both her grandparents had said that it was her carelessness that led to Xu Mo being taken away and sent to the orphanage.

Over the years, her grandparents had blamed Xie Bingyan a great deal. They had even had heated arguments with her, leaving Xie Bingyan feeling a deep-seated anger.

After finding Xu Mo and being initially thrilled, Xie Bingyan gradually became concerned about the potential impact on Xu Junzhe, so she didn’t pay much attention to Xu Mo. Perhaps in her mind, the outstanding and handsome Xu Junzhe was her biological son, someone she treated delicately and with great care.

Xu Mo was actually the one who was picked up.

In fact, Xu Wanting had felt the same way before.
