Chapter 25: The Worst Sister in the World

If it weren’t for the experience from the last time, Xu Mo might have still thought it was his fault, that he wasn’t outstanding enough, which is why they didn’t like him or accept him.

He once wanted to push himself to extremes to please them!

However, after the last incident, Xu Mo gave up completely, understanding the brutal truth!

For over a decade, Xu Junzhe had been handled delicately by them, afraid he would fall if not held securely, treasured as if he might dissolve in their mouths. This unimaginable level of pampering was beyond comparison.

They invested a great deal of effort and energy into Xu Junzhe, a level of care and attention that couldn’t be easily replaced, even by assuming a parental role.

Even in the previous life where Xu Mo had passed away many years ago, the same level of affection towards Xu Junzhe remained unchanged.

If not for the events where Xu Junzhe got married, had a child, aimed to dominate the family estate, leading to conflicts with several sisters, escalating tensions with Xie Bingyan and Xu Deming, resulting in sour relationships, Xu Junzhe would not have lost that affection and made a decisive move.

Recalling the instances from the previous life where he witnessed people being driven to their deaths, suffocated by anger, or resorting to suicide by jumping off buildings, Xu Mo should have felt relieved.

The pent-up frustration in Xu Mo’s heart had dissipated long ago, especially when he saw Xu Manni looking at him with no words exchanged, a moment that brought him a sense of satisfaction.

Where did Xu Manni go after her death?

She probably reunited with them!

Setting these thoughts aside, Xu Mo gathered all his energy and focused completely on the college entrance exams.

The entrance of No. 6 High School in Xiahai City was bustling with activity, filled with a constant stream of vehicles and people, exuding an extraordinary liveliness.

Numerous parents accompanied their sons and daughters to take the exams.

Most of them wore serious expressions, not daring to take it lightly.

Xu Wanting, along with the fourth and fifth siblings, came to see Xu Junzhe off for the exams. Xie Bingyan and Xu Deming were also present with them.

Xie Bingyan spoke to Xu Junzhe, advising him not to be nervous, to relax and approach the exams with ease, reassuring him that it didn’t matter whether he did well or not.

Although they were just comforting words, the heartfelt love for her son was palpable to everyone around.

Xie Bingyan carefully checked Xu Junzhe’s stationery and clothing, ensuring everything was in order before allowing him to enter.

“Let’s wait for him in the car! It’ll only be a few hours!”

Seeing Xu Junzhe enter, Xie Bingyan joyfully remarked, “Junzhe has always been very diligent. I’ve already inquired with the teachers at No. 1 High School. His grades are sufficient for top universities, and he might even come back as the top scorer!”

Xu Wanting nodded and was about to join Xie Bingyan and the others to wait in the car when she suddenly sensed something amiss. Pausing for a moment, she quickly turned to look towards the school.

“What’s wrong?” Xie Bingyan asked, puzzled.

“It’s nothing, really!” Xu Wanting felt shocked and wondered if she had just mistaken someone else for Xu Mo.

Is Xu Mo also here?

Xu Wanting didn’t know where Xu Mo was taking his exams. She had tried to approach Xu Mo before but was rejected, and now she had no information about his whereabouts.

However, at that moment, seeing him made Xu Wanting feel a bit panicked.

“Mom, I’ll go to the restroom quickly!” Xu Wanting thought for a moment and turned back to inform them.

“Alright! Hurry back!” Xie Bingyan nodded, returning to the car with the others to snack and chat while waiting for Xu Junzhe to finish his exam.

Xu Wanting left the school gate and went to a secluded area, where she took out her phone and made a call to her secretary, “Xiao Xu, please find out where No. 27 Middle School is taking their exams. I need to know right away!”

“Sure thing, Miss Wanting!”

The secretary quickly got in touch with their contact to find the information for Xu Wanting. After a short wait, the secretary finally messaged her with the details.

Xu Wanting glanced at the message and her expression immediately changed.

“No. 6 High School in Xiahai City, alongside No. 1 High School?”

“Yes! No. 27 Middle School and No. 1 High School are both taking exams at No. 6 High School, and they’re not far apart!” Xiao Xu replied.

“I see!” Xu Wanting ended the call, her face turning pale.

What she just saw was indeed Xu Mo.

He had also come to No. 27 Middle School.

In reality, no one in the family cared about his exams.

Not a single person!

Xie Bingyan and Xu Deming had not placed any hopes on him and even advised others not to care for him.

Xu Wanting had once considered making some changes, but the events of the past four years were so vivid in her mind that she couldn’t even contemplate it.
