“I just went to see Xu Mo and talked about many things we didn’t know before!”
“Mom might have really killed Junzhe!”
“Oh…”
“Sis, you don’t know, there is so much more to this! I didn’t expect any of it! It turns out Junzhe had found his biological mother a long time ago! He was just staying with us to get more for himself!”
“Junzhe probably arranged to take Mom out for a break, intending to do something to her and frame Xu Mo, to create a rift between Xu Mo and our family and the second uncle’s family. But for some reason, Mom was backstabbed by Junzhe!”
“Mom probably didn’t expect Junzhe to betray her, so she didn’t dare say anything. That’s why she went to see Xu Mo… Mom must be regretting it terribly. Later, Manni even had someone crash into Xu Mo, adding more fuel to the fire. Mom was completely in despair!”
Xu Xuehui cried as she spoke, “Wuwuwu, I didn’t expect there to be so many layers to this! The issues between you and the fourth brother were all orchestrated by Junzhe! He only wanted to get more family assets. Everything was just a pretense!”
Xu Wanting’s body shook violently, and her face turned even paler upon hearing the news.
“Junzhe…”
“Everything was just a pretense! Everything was a lie! If it weren’t for that, Mom would never have committed suicide! Only Junzhe could have had that much influence!” Xu Xuehui cried uncontrollably.
Xu Wanting hadn’t expected there to be so much hidden beneath the surface. Reflecting on it, she remembered how Junzhe used to maintain a very good relationship with them.
Although he had schemed against Xu Mo like they did, he was generally obedient and endearing, making him quite likable.
Whenever he came home, he was always very attentive, sweet-talking her and the others. Now, hearing Xu Xuehui’s words, she could hardly imagine.
“And Xu Mo?”
“Xu Mo said to just watch! To keep watching! He couldn’t even be bothered to interfere because he knew long ago what Junzhe wanted!” Xu Xuehui wiped her tears and sniffed, “Not only did he set us up, but he also betrayed us. Now, most of Fengxiang Jewelry’s assets belong to him!”
Xu Wanting looked down at her and asked, “What about Dad…?”
“Elder sister, you don’t know, but Junzhe… he’s actually our brother, just not born of Mom!”
In an instant, Xu Wanting’s face became even more pallid, her already frail body swaying as if it might collapse at any moment.
“Is what you’re saying true?”
“It’s true! Otherwise, how could Dad have given all of Fengxiang Jewelry to Junzhe? Dad must have known about Junzhe’s true identity a long time ago!” Xu Xuehui, seeing her about to fall, hurriedly supported her.
“I… I understand now!” Xu Wanting’s face was a mask of grief, and she didn’t know what to say. She felt a profound sense of despair.
So much of this was far beyond her imagination, and it surpassed her ability to comprehend.
It was too dark!
Especially with Xie Bingyan still in the emergency room fighting for her life.
As the two women continued to discuss the details Xu Xuehui had learned from Xu Mo, Xu Wanting’s face grew increasingly pale, her body seemed to be collapsing, as though all her strength had been drained.
Finally, Xu Shuying and Xu Manni arrived.
Xu Manni was extremely shocked and furious when she heard about Xie Bingyan’s fall. She had been shouting that it must be Xu Mo’s fault, insisting that Xu Mo had forced Xie Bingyan into this situation. She was rumored to be contacting people to take action.
Xu Manni was now driven to the brink of madness.
As a member of the Xu family, Xu Manni had never feared anyone. In the entertainment industry, she was known for not giving face to anyone, and with the backing of the Xie family, countless people had to court her, allowing her to act without restraint.
How could she be afraid of Xu Mo?
When Xu Xuehui explained to her that Junzhe had betrayed Xie Bingyan, Xu Manni angrily responded, “This is a frame-up! It must be Xu Mo’s scheme to sow discord! He must have kidnapped Junzhe!”
Xu Xuehui frowned and said, “Manni, you’d better think carefully! Why has Mom been silent these past few days?”
“No matter whether Mom speaks or not, these words are definitely Xu Mo’s scheme to sow discord among us! Junzhe would never harm Mom, it’s absolutely impossible!” Xu Manni said through gritted teeth.
“And what about Junzhe’s biological mother? Has he found her?”
“I haven’t heard anything about that! Junzhe hasn’t mentioned it either! I’m just realizing now! Xu Mo, this demon, is using every means possible to create discord among us! He not only wants to force Mom to her death but also wants to drive us to our graves! He has gone completely mad!” Xu Manni shouted, with disbelief on her face.
“What if it’s true? I’m saying, what if?” Xu Xuehui was also angry. “Xu Manni, when will you start using your brain? Are all these things just baseless rumors?”
“Have I not thought about it? I’ve been thinking about it all along! Second Sister, you can’t suspect anyone but Junzhe! He has always been so good to you and to us!” Xu Manni said angrily, “All of this must be Xu Mo’s trick! He’s trying to force us to our deaths. I absolutely do not believe in his schemes!”
“Xu Manni, can you stay calm for a moment?” Xu Xuehui was furious.
“Why should I stay calm? Second Sister, if you want to clear Xu Mo’s name, forget it! I know what he’s trying to do; he wants to make sure we meet a miserable end!” Xu Manni retorted angrily. “The only way to end this is to either put Xu Mo in jail or get rid of him!”
“You…” Xu Xuehui was enraged and about to speak.
However, suddenly, a slap came out of nowhere and landed harshly on Xu Manni’s face.
“Slap!”
Xu Xuehui was stunned—it was their elder sister, Xu Wanting.
“Third Sister! I’ve already put up with you for long enough! Did you arrange for people to hit him, huh?” Xu Wanting glared at Xu Manni as if she wanted to devour her.
“D-Di, Elder Sister…” Xu Manni was shocked and couldn’t believe that Xu Wanting had slapped her. She paused for a moment and then resolutely said, “Yes, it was me who arranged it! But unfortunately…”
Before she could finish her words, Xu Wanting lunged at her, seemingly grabbing a shoe from nearby and throwing it at Xu Manni’s head.
“Ahhh…”
Xu Manni was hit and stumbled around, crying out in pain.
“Even if you kill me, I’ll still say the same thing! Even if you kill me, I still believe this!”
“Elder Sister, Second Sister, you’ve all fallen for Xu Mo’s scheme to sow discord! He just wants to create conflict between us! Xu Junzhe would never harm Mom! I absolutely refuse to believe it!”
“Xu Mo has already gone mad, and I will never let him get away with it. Just wait…”
“Ah!”
Hearing this, Xu Wanting could no longer contain her anger. Finding that the shoe wasn’t enough, she suddenly spotted a broom and a pile of garbage nearby. She grabbed them and started swinging them at Xu Manni.
Xu Manni dared not retaliate. She was hit several times and desperately scrambled around, crying out in pain. She eventually collided with the two elderly people.
Xu Manni looked back in shock. “Grandpa, Grandma…”
Xu Wanting immediately stopped in her tracks!
