The others exchanged glances, unsure how to respond to this question, feeling utterly bewildered.
When did Xu Mo’s grades become so outstanding?
Only Xu Wanting’s eyes reddened, tears welling up at the corners of her eyes uncontrollably.
Xu Xuehui remarked, “It’s probably Xu Mo, with an overwhelming lead, surpassing the second-place by a whopping thirty points. Full marks in all four subjects. Such a performance, I reckon, has never been achieved in Xiahai City in the past decade!”
“When did Xu Mo’s grades become so good? Isn’t he the worst student at No. 27 High School?” Xu Shuying, the fifth sibling, asked.
“Who told you he’s the worst student at No. 27 High School? His grades at No. 27 High School are actually quite good!” Xu Xuehui glanced at Xu Shuying.
“No. 27 High School is considered the worst high school in our Xiahai City! How could a student from No. 27 High School become the top scorer?” Xu Pandi, the fourth, asked weakly, sighing inwardly.
Xu Xuehui couldn’t explain this question either. She walked a few steps forward and said, “Junzhe, let me see!”
Xu Junzhe found it hard to accept internally, his fist clenched slightly. However, he didn’t dare to show too much emotion at this moment. He slightly yielded and let Xu Xuehui operate the computer.
Xu Xuehui searched on the computer and said, “Mom, Dad, eldest sister, Xu Mo seems to have become famous. Many reporters are now going to No. 27 High School to interview the teachers, leaders, and Xu Mo! Should we go and take a look too?”
She looked up at Xie Bingyan and Xu Deming.
Xie Bingyan and Xu Deming clearly hadn’t anticipated this turn of events. For a moment, they seemed to find it difficult to accept.
Especially Xie Bingyan, her face turned pale.
“How could this disobedient child possibly perform so well? He must have used some trick!” Xie Bingyan said with a dark expression.
Xu Deming frowned.
During this period, Xu Mo had not returned home, and tensions between him and his family were very high. He had discussed with Xie Bingyan, planning to give him some time to cool off, and then figure out how to discipline him after the college entrance examination.
They hadn’t expected Xu Mo to perform so well in the college entrance examination!
Just the thought of Xu Mo calling out their names and wielding a knife at them made Xu Deming unable to bear it.
Of course, Xu Deming still had his reason, saying, “No matter what methods he used, the top scorer is still the top scorer!”
“Perhaps, this Xu Mo is not the Xu Mo we know!” Xu Manni, the third sibling, spoke up.
“How many Xu Mos are there at No. 27 High School?”
“I don’t know!” Xu Manni shook her head.
Xu Xuehui glared at Xu Manni. “Then we need to go to No. 27 High School and find out! Many reporters have already gone there for interviews! This is the first time in over a decade that No. 27 High School has produced the top scorer in the science category. It’s become famous!”
“Let’s go take a look!” Xie Bingyan said coldly.
She still couldn’t believe that Xu Mo could become the top scorer, let alone achieve such a decisive victory. It just didn’t make sense.
What qualifications does this rundown school like No. 27 High School have to produce the top scorer?
The thought of that disobedient child holding a knife at her only fueled her anger even more.
Now, they could only find out the truth by going there themselves.
Coincidentally, that disobedient child had been living outside for a long time. Xie Bingyan had already decided not to let him off this time. When she saw him again, she would make sure he regretted it!
Only Xu Wanting, with red eyes and tears welling up, blurred her vision.
Suddenly, she realized that she might be deeply at fault.
“Sister, are you okay?” Xu Xuehui noticed her unusual state and asked anxiously.
“I’m fine!” Xu Wanting sniffed and took out a tissue to wipe her eyes. “Let’s go, we should also go to No. 27 High School!”
With that, she walked ahead, her steps somewhat unsteady.
…
When the results reached Xu Mo’s hands, the four of them checked it over, finding it hard to believe.
A total score of 660 points, with 150 points each in Mathematics, Chinese, and English, and 70 points each in Chemistry, Physics, and Biology. However, Xu Mo had scored 651 points.
This score simply left them speechless.
Tang Lei, Gu Huanxi, and Li Banzhuang had meticulously checked it three times, finding no errors.
Xu Mo also received a message from his homeroom teacher, Lin Chuyu, asking him to come back to school.
Although Xu Mo wasn’t too surprised by this result, he was still amazed. He had thought that scoring 630 points would already be excellent, but achieving a score that far surpassed the second-place by 30 points was astonishing.
Of course, even so, since Teacher Lin had called him, he would return to school.
“Let’s go back! The teacher and school leaders are already waiting, and the other classmates are also at school!” Xu Mo said.
