Delayed Affection is Cheaper than Grass; Why Cry When I Depart? Chapter 30.2

“I know what you’re up to! It’s all about taking credit, isn’t it? Can’t accept the truth! Perhaps Xie Bingyan and Xu Deming can’t accept it either now?” Xu Mo laughed. “I saw them at the front gate of the school, full of anger, as if they wanted to devour me! I don’t think I’ve offended you, so why do you hate me so much?”

“Xu Mo, we don’t hate you. We just want to apologize to you. It’s sister’s fault, we were immature before!” Xu Wanting suddenly burst into tears.

“Oh?” Xu Mo laughed again. “That’s an interesting way to put it! It’s the first time I’ve heard you say that, quite novel and unique! But, did you bring your recorder? What dirt are you planning to throw at me this time?”

Xu Xuehui’s eyes were blurry with tears. “Xu Mo, we really came here to apologize. It was all our fault before, we shouldn’t have…”

Xu Mo suddenly interrupted her. “Xu Xuehui, do you think this kind of scheme can be used three or four times? I’ve seen through your petty tricks more than once! Last year, you used such tricks to get my recordings, didn’t you?”

Xu Xuehui was stunned, her face turning pale.

“Music teacher, or top student, studying abroad, high quality, high education, knowledgeable and reasonable!” Xu Mo clapped and laughed as he looked at her. “I’ve never seen anyone with such a dark heart before! I grew up in an orphanage, fought with others, experienced hardships, met countless people, but this blatant attempt to frame me, it’s the first time I’ve seen it!”

“You probably found it funny and amusing back then! I did too at the time! But, Xu Xuehui, aren’t you afraid of karma? Aren’t you afraid your heart will rot away?”

Xu Xuehui was shaken to the core.

“You probably aren’t afraid!” Xu Mo laughed. “But someday, you’ll all face consequences! You can’t escape karma!”

“Xu Mo!”

As they were speaking, angry shouts suddenly came from afar. Xu Mo looked up and saw Xie Bingyan, Xu Deming, and others rushing over.

Xu Mo wanted to leave, but after a moment’s thought, he turned to Tang Lei and said, “Tang Lei, Huanxi, you two go back first! I’ll be back later!”

Gu Huanxi felt worried. “Xu Mo, are you sure you’re okay? You don’t have to—”

“I’m fine! Don’t worry!” Xu Mo smiled. “I don’t think they dare to do anything to me.”

Tang Lei said, “We’ll stay with you.”

“No! You guys go first! I’ll handle this!” Xu Mo said, not wanting to involve them.

Seeing his determined expression, Tang Lei didn’t insist further. “Alright, if you need anything, just give us a call!”

“Okay,” Xu Mo nodded.

Waiting for Tang Lei and the others to leave, Xu Mo placed his backpack on the ground and opened it, pulling out a large machete.

Xu Wanting and Xu Xuehui were startled.

“Xu Mo, what are you planning to do?”

“Nothing much!” Xu Mo looked up and smiled faintly. “Just let you guys talk some sense!”

Xu Wanting’s face turned pale.

Xie Bingyan and Xu Deming were already furious, and now they came rushing over with the intention of teaching him a lesson.

But suddenly, they saw Xu Mo pull out a large machete, and immediately froze in place.

Xie Bingyan’s face turned pale with anger. “Xu Mo, is this how you talk to us? What are you holding in your hand?”

“If I didn’t, I doubt any of you would speak nicely to me! Let me tell you, I’ve sharpened this knife for many days. Anyone dares to touch me, I’ll chop them!” Xu Mo laughed.

Xie Bingyan and Xu Deming’s faces turned ashen.

“Xu Mo, you should go home with sister first!” Xu Wanting’s voice trembled with tears, filled with pleading.

Xu Mo looked at her and suddenly laughed. “Xu Wanting, Xu Wanting, you really have an unrelenting desire to harm me! You should dig out your heart, wash it, and dry it! It’s already rotten and completely black inside!”

Xu Wanting trembled.

“Xu Mo, how long have you been out here? It’s been almost two months now, since the college entrance examination ended. Aren’t you done yet?” Xu Deming stared at Xu Mo.

“You look at me as if this is fault? Is this my fault?” Xu Mo immediately turned to him without any reservation.

“I don’t care whose fault it is. Put down your knife and come home with us first!” Xu Deming angrily demanded.

Xu Mo laughed again. “Go home with you? What relationship do you have with me? Do you even deserve to ask me to go home with you?”

“Xu Mo, you…” Xu Deming was furious.

“What about me? Are you out of your mind? What relationship do your Xu family have with me? Let me tell you, I am an orphan. My whole family is dead. I have nothing to lose. If your Xu family wants to bully me, then I’m not afraid to fight back!”

The others’ faces changed drastically, and they were suddenly hesitant to move.

Xu Mo looked at them with a mocking expression. “See? This works like a charm! Now, can you all genuinely listen to what others have to say? Can you reason now?”
