“Xu Mo, what’s wrong? Call an ambulance! Hurry!” The female bodyguards rushed over. When they saw Xu Mo, they were startled and quickly called for an ambulance.
Before long, Xu Mo was taken to the hospital, where several doctors promptly began their examination.
Xu Wanting had not expected Xu Mo to collapse, and she stood outside the ward, her face pallid with worry.
At that moment, she felt an icy chill in her heart.
After a while, the diagnosing doctor emerged.
“Who is the patient’s family?” the doctor inquired.
“I am,” Xu Wanting hurriedly stepped forward.
The doctor glanced at her, furrowing his brow, and said, “There’s nothing major, but there are quite a few minor issues! There’s inflammation in the head, unhealed wounds, underweight, severe malnutrition, anemia, and heart issues! Are you his sister?”
Xu Wanting was stunned, never expecting Xu Mo to have so many problems.
Back at the Xu family home, there had been no mention of so many issues.
“I-I am,” she said, tears streaming down her face.
She had never imagined Xu Mo to be so frail and afflicted with so many illnesses.
“Your brother probably doesn’t take good care of himself! The wound on his head is from six or seven days ago and has become inflamed! Not to mention his thinness and malnutrition. Encourage him to eat well, to boost his blood, or he may faint from anemia again! As for his heart, it needs even more attention due to the lack of blood production!” the doctor continued, handing her a form. “Please sign here.”
Xu Wanting looked at the form carefully, tears welling up, and signed it.
The doctor, seeing her signature, left the room with his things. Xu Wanting hurriedly pushed open the door and entered the ward.
However, as she walked in, she found Xu Mo already awake, packing up and preparing to leave.
“Xu Mo, you’re awake?” Xu Wanting exclaimed in delight.
Xu Mo glanced at her without saying a word and continued packing his things.
Seeing his calm demeanor, Xu Wanting felt a pang in her heart. She remembered how, in the past, every time Xu Mo saw her, his eyes would light up as if he had seen an idol, filled with admiration.
Back then, he had been like an eager puppy, always trying to please her, eagerly fetching things for her and doing his best to make her happy every time he saw her.
However, at this moment, he seemed utterly lifeless.
“Xu Mo, where are you going? The doctor said you need proper rest!” Xu Wanting said urgently.
After packing up, Xu Mo turned to look at her and said, “Thank you for bringing me to the hospital. I just checked the bill. The medication and diagnosis fees total 1,500 yuan.”
Saying this, he took out 1,500 yuan from his wallet and handed it to her, saying, “This is for the medical expenses. Keep it! We have nothing to do with each other anymore. There’s no need for you to come find me! Goodbye!”
“Xu Mo!” Xu Wanting was taken aback and hurriedly stopped him from leaving. “Mom and Dad are waiting for you to come back! Where are you going?”
Xu Mo chuckled, “Miss Xu, what are you doing? Why do you keep stopping me? I don’t understand why you’re here!”
“Come home with me!” Xu Wanting urged, trying to hold his hand.
“Forget it!” Xu Mo brushed her hand away, smiling. “Why should I go back with you? So your security can beat me up? Or your family can punish me, confine me, and starve me? Miss Xu, be a little kinder. Evil deeds will have their consequences!”
Xu Wanting was stunned, a sudden shock gripping her heart.
“It’s not that there’s no retribution, it’s just not time yet! When the time comes, you’ll get what’s coming to you!” Xu Mo smiled at her.
Having said that, he brushed past her and walked out of the ward.
Hearing his words, Xu Wanting felt a sudden shock, her heart filled with a chilling dread.
As she saw Xu Mo leaving, she suddenly snapped back to reality and hurriedly caught up with him.
“Xu Mo, what are you saying? I’m your older sister! Stop right there!” she exclaimed.
Xu Mo glanced back, smiling. “You’re not going to have your female bodyguards hit me again, are you? Let me tell you, this is a hospital! We have no relationship anymore. If you dare to let your people touch me again, I’ll fight you!”
With that, he wiped the smile off his face and glared at her menacingly.
Seeing this, Xu Wanting felt a chilling sensation throughout her body, every hair standing on end.
At that moment, Xu Mo seemed extremely frightening.
Xu Wanting was left stunned. “Xu Mo, I was just calling you to come back home! I’m your older sister! Mom and Dad are waiting for you at home!”
“Stop pretending! Is it you who doesn’t know, or me? Who are you pretending for? Do you think you can still deceive me this time?” Xu Mo sneered at her.
“What do you mean by deceiving you? I’m your older sister! How could I deceive you?” Xu Wanting was taken aback.
“Oh? You didn’t deceive me?” Xu Mo laughed. He glanced at the female bodyguards behind her. “Right, you indeed didn’t deceive me. You were just plainly mocking me! If I went back this time, I’d probably end up being filmed by you and posted in your WeChat group for all your friends to mock! Xu Wanting, evil deeds will have consequences. It’s just not time yet. You won’t escape retribution in the future!”
Xu Wanting was suddenly shocked!
“Forget it! I won’t argue with you! You’d better leave!”
Xu Mo couldn’t be bothered to talk to her. Feeling tired, he left the hospital without her interference and hurried home. There were still over 200 pounds of live shrimp and crabs at home, and he needed to sell more for the evening market, hoping to sell around 150 pounds that day.
Seeing him leave, Xu Wanting was left stunned.
She trembled, her face turning pale.
She hadn’t expected Xu Mo to know about their sisters’ WeChat group!
She also hadn’t anticipated Xu Mo to be so decisive and ruthless.
They had indeed mocked him in the WeChat group, and even played pranks on him!
For instance, Xu Manni, the third sister, once hid his phone.
And she herself had done so once.
I can see that there were past events involving Xu Junzhe playing with fire in the courtyard, which resulted in a fire that burned down their parents’ favorite grapevine. Frightened, Xu Junzhe sought her help and asked her to say that Xu Mo did it.
Reluctantly, Xu Wanting went to Xu Mo to discuss the matter and get him to confess. At that time, Xu Mo did not agree and fell silent. Later, Xu Wanting suggested taking him to the company, saying it would help her and their brother, and Xu Mo enthusiastically agreed.
In the end, their parents severely punished Xu Mo and made him stand for two hours. When it was over, Xu Mo happily approached her, telling her he was fine. Xu Wanting found his behavior despicable, but also somewhat amusing, so she recorded the scene and posted it in their WeChat group for her sisters to watch. As expected, all of her sisters burst into laughter!
Xu Wanting at this moment felt her entire body trembling, her hands and feet icy cold, as if all the blood in her body had frozen in that moment!
Every hair on her body stood on end.
He knew!
…
Xu Mo quickly left the hospital and found a bus to take him home.
Xu Wanting didn’t follow, which made him quite happy.
“Xu Mo, the live shrimp and crabs have indeed gone up in price! We sold all of ours today!”
“Ha-ha, Xu Mo, you’re amazing! Your prediction was spot-on!”
On the way, Xu Mo received a call from Tang Lei and Gu Huanxi, feeling elated.
Next, he will continue to make money, aiming for great wealth.
He quickly got busy.

The dialogue is literally just repeated sometimes. Like here the sister sounds like a broken robot just repeating for him to come back to the family despite him saying something new. Author padding the word count smh.
Wanting is pretty naive. Why would he go back? What will change? The only person with even a little bit of sympathy is her.
thats not sympathy, that is guilt. that family has been literally driving a knife into his spleen for 4 years not understanding they are killing him but even if they knew majority of them dont care.
