DLSRWAR Chapter 11 Qin Yumian is nothing but a vermin.
Ye Hancheng glanced at his wife’s soft, pretty face, then shifted his gaze away, speaking with a nonchalant tone. “Just transfer if I want to; there’s no need for any reason.”
Qin Yumian: “…”
Did he think he wasn’t being obvious enough?
Just then, the Chinese language teacher walked in, and Qin Yumian decided not to press further.
…
“Brother Han, want to play basketball?” Deng Yuanze asked, holding a basketball at the back door, addressing the young man who was leaning against the wall, playing with his phone.
Since Ye Hancheng had treated the entire class to snacks on his first day, he had won over most of his classmates, gaining a few who were willing to talk to him.
Ye Hancheng paused his conversation with Qiu Gaotiao, slipped his phone into his pocket, and stood up. “Let’s go.”
Before leaving the room, he glanced in Qin Yumian’s direction.
The girl was busy using a pencil to draw on the backs of two other girls’ hands. Zhao Qian walked over and asked her, “Sports rep, which room will you be taking the exam in?”
The seating arrangements for the final exams had been posted, and as was typical of the school, each room would only have two or three students from the same class.
While sketching a little figure of her idol on Hao Jiajia’s hand, Qin Yumian answered without looking up, “In the advanced class of the sophomore year, over at the Sixue Building.”
Hearing this, Zhao Qian couldn’t help but feel a bit disappointed. “I’m in the arts class.”
They were separated by nearly half the sports field.
Ye Hancheng, having finished playing basketball, returned to the classroom only to find his wife missing. He casually threw on his school uniform and walked over to ask Hao Jiajia, “Where’s the sports rep?”
Hearing his voice, Hao Jiajia looked up with uncertainty. “She probably went to the bathroom.”
However, hasn’t the sports rep been in the bathroom for a bit too long?
Class was about to start.
As they spoke, Qin Yumian walked back in from outside. Her school uniform sleeves were rolled up to her elbows, revealing her slender, fair arms, and her long black hair, which had previously been loose, was now tied up.
Hao Jiajia called out, “Sports rep, Brother Han was looking for you.”
Qin Yumian naturally noticed the young man standing beside their desks. She threw an inquiring glance in Ye Hancheng’s direction.
Ye Hancheng hadn’t actually been looking for her with any specific reason in mind; it was more of a habitual question, like a child asking “Where’s my mom?” when coming home and not seeing her right away.
The young man’s eyes were erratic, but he suddenly noticed that the hem of Qin Yumian’s uniform seemed damp. Acting on instinct, Ye Hancheng reached out and grabbed that damp piece of fabric, confirming the wet sensation beneath his fingers.
He frowned. “Why is your clothes wet?”
Qin Yumian replied in a calm tone, “I accidentally got them wet while washing my hands.”
“Is anywhere else wet?” Ye Hancheng’s hand trailed upward along the hem of the girl’s uniform, brushing past her delicate waist…
Qin Yumian, unaccustomed to the young man’s sudden closeness, instinctively stepped back two paces, her tone cool. “No.”
Ye Hancheng’s hand froze mid-air. He realized his actions were inappropriate and felt a little wronged in his heart. This was his wife! Before his rebirth, he could hug and kiss her whenever he wanted. Now, he couldn’t even touch her without permission.
Seeing the light fade from the young man’s eyes, Qin Yumian felt a mix of puzzlement and amusement. She pursed her lips slightly and said, “It seems like my sleeves are wet too.”
This time, Ye Hancheng didn’t dare touch her again. Instead, he quickly shrugged off his own school uniform and handed it to her. “Wear mine for now, so you don’t catch a cold.”
It was warm outside, and beneath his uniform, he was only wearing a tank top. His tall, lean frame, coupled with the defined muscles on his arms and the prominent curve of his collarbones, made him look unexpectedly attractive.
Qin Yumian only glanced at him briefly before shifting her gaze to the uniform he was offering.
Meanwhile, Hao Jiajia, who had been munching on leftover sunflower seeds, had moved over to join Yang Mao and the others. The sound of her cracking seeds was soon interrupted by her shrill exclamation, “Oh my gosh! The class hunk just took off his shirt!”
Yang Mao, startled, quickly turned to look at Zhao Qian, whose face had darkened considerably.
Yang Mao muttered, “What’s with this new guy? Taking off his shirt in front of everyone—does he have no shame?”
But Hao Jiajia was too absorbed in admiring Ye Hancheng’s physique to catch Yang Mao’s sarcastic comment. “He’s got such a great body. I wonder if he has abs.”
Yang Mao, clearly displeased, retorted, “I have abs too, you know!”
Hao Jiajia shot him a sidelong glance. “With that build of yours? Forget abs—you’d be lucky to lose the flab on your belly.”
Feeling slighted, Yang Mao stiffened his neck and retorted, “It’s just abs, right? Give me a few days of training, and I’ll have three of them!”
Hao Jiajia replied flatly, “Wow, how impressive.”
Yang Mao: “…”
Ignoring his childish display, Hao Jiajia continued to sneak glances at Ye Hancheng and Qin Yumian.
Qin Yumian hesitated for a moment before finally reaching out to accept the school uniform the young man handed her. “I’ll return it after school.”
The uniform was still too large for her, falling well above her knees and draping loosely over her frame. She had to roll up the sleeves several times.
Ye Hancheng, however, was quite pleased. His wife often wore his clothes, especially his shirts, which reached just above her thighs, perfectly covering her hips. Beneath the shirt were her long, fair legs, as smooth and translucent as jade…
Lost in thought, Ye Hancheng’s gaze drifted downward, but he only saw her legs, obscured by the oversized pants.
Ye Hancheng: “…”
Qin Yumian, oblivious to Ye Hancheng’s thoughts, returned to her seat in his uniform just as the teacher walked in.
“Everyone back to your seats. Today we’re reviewing ellipses and hyperbolas…”
The evening self-study session was being overseen by Chen Lanping. She had arrived at the school after dinner. As soon as she entered her office, she saw Teacher Xu, from the desk next to hers, slam down a water cup and glare at her. “Teacher Chen, Qin Yumian is in your class, right?”
Chen Lanping turned to look at Teacher Xu and hesitated. “Yes, she is.”
Teacher Xu sneered, “Your students are quite audacious, aren’t they? They even dare to hit the top ten students in the grade.”
Chen Lanping’s eyelids twitched. No wonder she had been feeling unsettled today; it was because Qin Yumian had caused trouble again.
Without asking for details, she responded immediately, “Teacher Xu, if Qin Yumian hit someone, I’ll make her come over and apologize.”
“It’s Xu Lili from our class. She was hoping to get into a prestigious university. Now that Qin Yumian has hit her, we don’t know what kind of psychological trauma she might suffer. Next semester, she’ll be a senior,” Teacher Xu said. As the homeroom teacher of the advanced class, she had assessed which students had the potential to get into top universities, and Xu Lili was one of them.
Hearing that Qin Yumian had hit a student with hopes of getting into a prestigious university, Chen Lanping’s face darkened with anger.
“Teacher Xu, Qin Yumian is nothing but a vermin in our class, her bones are black through and through. She probably couldn’t stand seeing others do well. I’ll have her come over immediately, and you can handle it as you see fit.”
“This isn’t something I can just handle any way I want. It depends on Xu Lili’s stance. If she accepts the apology and Qin Yumian shows a good attitude, then a written self-criticism, a disciplinary note, and compensation for medical expenses should suffice.”
