Delivering takeout, I ended up being bitten by the campus beauty senior—and turned into a vampire Chapter 2

Chapter 2 – Are You Trying to Bury Me Alive?

Su Lingwei lay sprawled atop Lu Qing, her body burning hot, the residual heat of a body pushed to its limits in a brutal battle.

Moments earlier, her fierce clash with the blood thralls had incinerated her clothing in the flames of combat.

Badly wounded, she now desperately needed to replenish her energy—and the delivery boy before her had become her “source.”

Her sharp fangs pierced into Lu Qing’s soft flesh, and the metallic sweetness of his blood instantly flooded her senses, provoking an uncontrollable urge to drink deeply.

What she failed to notice, however, was that the blood trailing from the corner of her lips seeped back into the puncture wounds her fangs had left, slowly flowing into Lu Qing’s body.

“Mmm…” Su Lingwei let out a low sigh. Summoning the last shred of her reason, she forced herself to release him.

If she drank any more, this man would surely be drained dry. She had no idea how much blood she had taken—only that her strength was gradually returning, her injuries slowly knitting themselves together. Soon after, she succumbed to exhaustion and drifted into deep sleep.

In the pitch-dark corridor, the frail young man and the eerie young woman lay entwined, like a pair of lovers lost in slumber.

Roughly two hours later, hissss… Lu Qing stirred first, groggy and half-conscious.

He instinctively reached up to touch his neck. “That bite was vicious—left two clear marks!” From the feel of it, there were indeed two deep imprints on his skin. Strangely enough, however, not a drop of blood remained.

Lu Qing rose carefully, noticing that Su Lingwei, still lying atop him, had not yet woken.

His gaze fell upon her flawless white back, which was covered in countless scars. Yet those marks seemed to have already healed.

“These scars… how could they look so strange…”

Out of basic decency, Lu Qing hesitated for a moment but ultimately couldn’t bear to leave the campus beauty lying on the cold floor.

He stepped into the room, found a blanket, and gently draped it over her. Then, with deliberate care, he lifted Su Lingwei into his arms and placed her onto the soft bed.

By the time he finished, Lu Qing was drenched in sweat. “Weird… since when did my body become this weak?”

He wiped the sweat from his face, utterly puzzled. That bit of weight shouldn’t have exhausted him like this.

“And my temperature’s too high… everything’s going dark… I…”

Before he could finish, bang—his vision went black, and he collapsed to the floor.

This time, he sank into an even deeper coma. His body began to undergo strange changes: his breathing grew weaker, his heartbeat slowed more and more… until it stopped altogether.

As night gave way to dawn, Su Lingwei, lying on the bed, suddenly opened her eyes.

Seeing the blanket draped over her, Su Lingwei froze for a moment. Then her gaze shifted to Lu Qing, lying motionless on the floor. A flash of crimson flickered through her breathtaking eyes.

She rose from the bed, her skin pale as porcelain. After casually throwing on a piece of clothing, she crouched before Lu Qing, studying him for a long while. At last, in an icy voice, she whispered slowly, “You are the first person I’ve killed in nearly a hundred years. My apologies.”

Her apology was as calm and detached as still water.

As a vampire—more than that, a Vampire Countess—after centuries of existence, she had long grown indifferent to life.

Humans, to her kind, were nothing but food. It was only that she rarely hunted and fed directly.

If not for last night’s brutal battle leaving her gravely wounded and in urgent need of fresh blood to restore her strength…

“Consider it bad luck, little brother.”

She didn’t need to check. She could already hear the silence where his heartbeat had ceased.

“Where should I bury you?” Su Lingwei pondered for a moment, then reached out and lightly lifted Lu Qing by the ankle, dragging him into the villa’s basement.

“This place was meant for burying those wretched blood thralls. Today, you’ll just have to make do.” Su Lingwei picked up a shovel and began digging into a patch where the cement floor had already been broken.

In the corner of the basement, a horrifying scene emerged. Dozens of corpses were piled together in a messy heap like a small mountain, many of them mangled and incomplete.

These were all blood thralls that had attacked the night before, torn to shreds by the formidable Vampire Countess.

“Burying you means I’ll have to move again. What a nuisance.” For once, Su Lingwei frowned ever so slightly.

As an immortal vampire with eternal youth, she was accustomed to relocating every few years.

This time, she had finally settled into a peaceful life as a university student, hoping to enjoy several quiet years. Yet, her plans had been disrupted ahead of schedule.

“Rest in peace. Maybe you’ll get a better start in your next life.” With no change in expression, Su Lingwei tossed the shovel aside, as if the words were no more than a perfunctory farewell.

Just as she turned to cover Lu Qing with earth, a voice—full of shock and disbelief—suddenly rang out:

“Senior… are you seriously trying to bury me alive???”
