Chapter 25: A Sudden Departure
The news of Yunzhi’s situation spread like wildfire throughout the capital, leaving hardly anyone unaware. As a result, Anyi quickly brought the news back.
Upon hearing about Yunzhi’s ordeal, a dark glint flashed in Dongli Lucang’s eyes.
“An Xiuyuan, is it? Very well, this king remembers you.”
After learning about what had happened to Yunzhi, Dongli Lucang couldn’t help but feel a sense of pity when he looked at her during her next acupuncture session.
Yunzhi was a little confused by Dongli Lucang’s gaze, but didn’t think much of it. After making him lie down, she began to administer acupuncture.
The methods for treating internal injuries and detoxification were the same, but the number of needles used was different. Not only were there twice as many needles used for internal injuries, but the treatment also took much longer.
Fortunately, the poison in Dongli Lucang’s body had been neutralized. Although he was still somewhat weak, he could endure the treatment.
By the time Yunzhi removed the golden needles from Dongli Lucang’s body, he looked as if he had just emerged from a pool of water, drenched and damp.
Fortunately, Yunzhi had anticipated this situation and had prepared a medicinal bath for him.
“When you’re in the bath later, you can try to heal your injuries yourself. It will have a significant effect.”
“Thank you!” Dongli Lucang expressed his gratitude and followed Yunzhi’s attendants to the inner room.
When he entered the bathtub and actually tried to heal himself, he finally understood what Yunzhi meant by a significant effect.
This wasn’t just a significant effect, it was three or four times more effective.
He had suffered internal injuries before and had attempted to heal himself, but the results were far inferior to what he was experiencing now.
By the time the water in the bathtub had cooled, Dongli Lucang felt that his internal injuries had almost completely healed.
If he could undergo this kind of healing treatment again, his injuries would likely be completely healed.
He had known that Yunzhi’s medical skills were excellent, but he hadn’t realized they were this good. Even the legendary physician Miracle doctor couldn’t compare.
Wait, Miracle doctor?
A thought flashed through Dongli Lucang’s mind: Could Yunzhi be miracle doctor?
If that was the case, then his luck was truly incredible.
Although he had his suspicions, Dongli Lucang didn’t confirm Yunzhi’s identity when he saw her. In his eyes, whether she was Miracle doctor or not, she was his savior and the woman he had been yearning for.
Therefore, his current goal was to make her his.
With this thought in mind, Dongli Lucang quietly left the villa that night.
The next morning, when Rulan led her attendants to serve Dongli Lucang with his morning ablutions, they discovered that he had left without a word.
Looking at the empty room, Rulan felt a surge of anger. When she reported the matter to Yunzhi, she couldn’t help but express her frustration.
“Miss, that Lord Lu is too much! He left without saying goodbye. If I hadn’t brought the attendants to wake him, we wouldn’t have known he left quietly last night.”
“Alright, don’t be angry. He probably had something urgent to attend to, so he left in a hurry.” Compared to Rulan, Yunzhi wasn’t as angry.
She had actually known that Dongli Lucang left last night.
However, she didn’t stop him.
Now that the poison in his body had been neutralized and his internal injuries were mostly healed, leaving would slow down his recovery, but it wasn’t a major issue.
