Became Dining Buddies with My Ex After Breaking Up (Campus H)
Dining Buddies Chapter 2.2

Chen Dudu had a good personality and was known for being chatty since she was a child in the village. She could catch chickens, tease dogs, and even catch fish in the water. Her lively personality allowed her to play all over the mountains in the countryside.

In the Shen family’s mansion, she couldn’t be confined and would often secretly play when the servants weren’t around.

One time, she sneaked out to play and saw Shen Gengli being scolded by his mother: “You’re useless.”

After scolding him, his mother left, and Chen Dudu’s ball accidentally rolled to Shen Gengli’s feet.

Shen Gengli noticed her.

Chen Dudu, frightened, ran over to pick up her ball and accidentally touched his hand.

Shen Gengli, who had severe mysophobia, angrily pushed her away, “You’re filthy, don’t touch me.”

She fell to the ground and looked at Shen Gengli in terror.

Seeing her frightened look, Shen Gengli asked, “Are you afraid of me?”

Chen Dudu nodded.

Shen Gengli reached out his hand, “Give me the ball.”

Chen Dudu gave it to him.

Shen Gengli took it with disgust and threw it elsewhere.

“Go fetch it.”

Chen Dudu went to fetch it.

Shen Gengli threw it again.

He treated her like a dog, making her fetch the ball quickly.

She went back and forth several times, but Shen Gengli was still not satisfied. Finally, he threw the ball at her.

Seeing her scared to tears, whether from pain or fear, he finally felt happy.

Chen Dudu recalled her childhood and angrily closed the wardrobe, cursing, “Blind, blind.”

Her eyes must have been blind to have liked Shen Gengli in high school.

She tidied up her things, and her other three roommates had all arrived.

They met downstairs and came up together.

Seeing Chen Dudu, they quickly introduced themselves.

One was a local, and the other two were from out of town, one from the far south and one from the far north.

Chen Dudu was from the water towns of Jiangnan, and her roommates loved her accent when she spoke.

Wu dialect, that’s what it was, her tone was very sweet.

Everyone put away their things and introduced their majors.

The other three were all in the same major, so they had met downstairs.

Only Chen Dudu was in a different major, so she was assigned to this dorm.

The others were all from the Foreign Languages Institute. Chen Dudu said she was in the Cultural Relics Restoration major, and everyone was surprised.

“You applied for Cultural Relics Restoration?? You’re too amazing. Our school’s Cultural Relics Restoration major only admits two students each year, one male and one female. The admission rate is so low that almost no one applies, for fear of not getting in. You dared to choose it, which is too bold.”

“Just two?” Chen Dudu was also shocked.

She had already been shocked once when she went to register and was told she was the only female in her major. She had already imagined a class full of male students, and now it was even more shocking to find out there were only two students in the class.

Did that mean she only had one classmate?

“Does that mean I can’t skip class in the future?”

Roommate: “You still want to skip class? The attendance sheet has only two names, one male and one female. It’s obvious who doesn’t show up.”

Chen Dudu: “…”

The group chatted happily, tidied up the dorm, and went out to eat together. In the evening, they went to the bathhouse together.

It was a public bathhouse.

Chen Dudu carried her basket into the bathhouse and frowned at the sight of the open-style public bath.

Her roommate noticed and asked, “Are you shy?”

Chen Dudu shook her head, “No.”

She was actually wondering if Shen Gengli could get used to a public bathhouse.

But since he was now bankrupt, he probably couldn’t afford to buy a place near the school. He had been carrying his suitcase to the dorm today, so he must be broke.

It was quite amusing.

When she was a child, she often wondered when this annoying young master would go bankrupt, so she could see him in misfortune.

Now that it had actually happened, she felt sorry for him.

The pampered young master was now suffering.

After taking a bath and returning to the dorm, Chen Dudu was exhausted.

She had been running around all day and was now sleepy.

The last roommate turned off the light and went to bed.

In the girls’ dorm, the night chat topics began.

One roommate asked, “Do you guys have boyfriends?”

“Yes.”

The other two roommates answered in unison.

They all had boyfriends.

Chen Dudu: “I don’t…”

Was she the only single one?

The next second, the roommate who asked the question followed up with, “Have you ever made love?”

Chen Dudu thought… the night chat topics in a university dorm on the first day would be about where I come from, what my hobbies are, what my personality is like… what my hometown’s specialties are, that kind of thing.

But their topic was: have you done it with your boyfriend.

Indeed, they were adults now, asking interesting questions.
