The spy leader?

Shen Youran had already drunk some spiritual spring water, and her strength had mostly recovered. She blinked when she heard Li Xiaoxiao’s words.

She was about to ask more questions when Li Shunyi, Huang Weiwei, and the others came towards them.

“Congratulations everyone. You did a great job on this mission. All six spies were captured. We’ll send people to bring them back to the army for interrogation.” Li Shunyi was quite happy when he said this, because missions usually didn’t go this smoothly.

They had received information that the spies would arrive at the border within the next two days. They didn’t expect it to be tonight.

They had completed the mission in just over ten hours. It was very efficient.

“I want to commend Comrade Shen Zhaodi of the new squad first!” Li Shunyi became even more excited. “She bravely captured the spy leader on her own, preventing our country’s secrets from being leaked. I’ll mention this in the mission report.”

“Comrade Shen Zhaodi, you’re amazing!”

As soon as Li Shunyi finished praising her, everyone started clapping.

Huang Weiwei was also happy. “I hope you can join our squad in the future. Keep up the good work.”

To join their squad, you needed years of experience, or about 40 to 50 mission experiences.

Shen Youran thought she could do it.

She nodded seriously and shook hands with Huang Weiwei. “I will work towards joining your squad. I hope to join you soon.”

Because they had completed the mission and no one was seriously injured, everyone was relaxed.

They chatted and laughed for a while, and after everything was arranged, they set off to go back.

It was already dawn.

Shen Youran stretched in the car and gently squeezed her ribs. Although they hadn’t broken, they must have cracked. She would need to recuperate for two days.

After a few more hours, they returned to the family compound. Yu Fei told them they didn’t have to train today and to go home and rest.

Then Yu Fei turned and left.

Shen Youran watched her go, put the medicinal wine in her pocket, and smiled.

When she entered the family compound, Shen Youran went to Mo Xiaoyun’s house to pick up Junjun.

Mo Xiaoyun opened the door and saw her. The big rock in her heart finally fell. “You’re finally back safe. I thought…”

Before she could finish, Mo Xiaoyun realized something was wrong and quickly pulled Shen Youran into the house, smiling. “You’ve been busy all night. You must be hungry. I’ll cook you a bowl of noodles. You can take Junjun back to rest after he wakes up.”

Shen Youran hadn’t even had a chance to refuse before Mo Xiaoyun went into the kitchen to cook noodles.

She could only accept her kindness.

After eating a bowl of noodles comfortably, Shen Youran grinned. “Thank you so much, Yun Jie. You not only watched Junjun for me, but you also cooked noodles for me.”

“You’ve worked so hard on the mission. What’s a bowl of noodles?” Mo Xiaoyun held Shen Youran’s hand and said a few words. “Next time you go on a mission, be sure to stay safe. I’ll watch Junjun for you. Don’t worry.”

Shen Youran nodded repeatedly. Then she thought of Shen Tianci and Liu Chunhua.

Someone she had only known for a short time, someone who was just a friend, was willing to watch her child and cook noodles for her.

Her family, who were related by blood, treated her like a tool.

It was really funny.

The two of them chatted in the living room for a while, and Junjun woke up.

Shen Youran was really tired, so she didn’t stay at Mo Xiaoyun’s for too long. She took Junjun back to rest.

When she entered the space, she saw that the vegetables were growing well. Shen Youran thought that after she rested, she would send some over to Mo Xiaoyun.

“Junjun, play for a while, okay? Mommy needs to rest.” Shen Youran stroked the milk balls’s head. After taking a bath, she felt even more tired. She felt exhausted and needed to sleep.

After all, she had been on high alert all night, and she was about to collapse.

Junjun nodded, sitting obediently on the edge of the bed, holding a book in his hand. “Mommy, you go to sleep. I’ll stay here with you. If I get too bored, I’ll go water the vegetables and fruit trees.”

Shen Youran, hearing this, went to sleep with peace of mind.

When she woke up, she saw Junjun still sitting there, holding a book, but his little head was tilted to the side, asleep.

Shen Youran was about to take the book away, but he opened his eyes drowsily, giving her a sweet smile. “Mommy.”

Seeing the milk balls’s smiling face, Shen Youran hugged him into her arms. After a while, she heard him ask in a childish voice, “Mommy, did you go catch bad guys last night?”

“Did you catch the bad guys?”

Shen Youran pinched his little face. “Of course, I caught the bad guys.”

“Then,” Junjun rolled over from the bed, lay on the bed, propped his chin with one hand, and blinked his big eyes. “Was it very dangerous? Mommy, did you get hurt? Do you feel any pain?”

Feeling the milk balls’s concern, Shen Youran felt incredibly comforted. She shook her head. “Nothing happened. It wasn’t particularly dangerous. Junjun just needs to wait for Mommy at home.”

“Then I’ll grow up quickly. I’ll protect Mommy in the future. I’ll also be a soldier like Mommy, defending our country!” Junjun was still very young. Hearing him say this so seriously, Shen Youran thought of Lu Zheng again.

Could it be that he really has Lu Zheng’s genes?

After resting for two days, she went back to the squad on the third day. Yu Fei informed her that Li Shunyi had written a report about the mission and submitted it. The higher-ups were very satisfied with Shen Youran’s actions this time.

They gave her high praise.

She went to the training ground after she finished speaking.

“Well,” Li Xiaoxiao grinned. “I think I need to train for a few more hours. If people are stronger and more hardworking than me, how can I slack off?”

She ran off in a flash.

The news spread like wildfire, and of course, it reached Lu Yifan’s ears.
