Chapter 50
Upon hearing this, Yang Yunran’s emotions suddenly stabilized. “How about letting loose?”
Jiang Yi replied, “Go to the seaside? Your call.”
Yang Yunran pondered, “The seaside? I don’t want to do it in the sea or on the beach where there are people. How about Hawaii? Find a private beach or a seaside resort house. In that case, I could accept doing it on the beach…” He whispered, starting to imagine, then abruptly changed his mind. “No, let’s stick to the bed. The beach feels unhygienic, and there’s a risk of getting pinched by crabs.”
Jiang Yi remained silent. What he meant by letting loose was just going to an amusement park for a couple of days.
Yang Yunran had already misunderstood, planning out his extravagant night with Plan A/B/C.
“You decide, I’ll buy the plane tickets. I need to wrap up things at the lab these days,” Jiang Yi said, lowering his head and cradling the back of Yang Yunran’s head in his palm. “We’ll go after your exams on the third day. Is that okay?”
Yang Yunran nodded, sitting in the chair and holding onto Jiang Yi’s waist for a long time, his cheek against Jiang Yi’s warm abdomen. Jiang Yi stood there letting him hold on, hoping to ease his pre-exam stress.
On the third day after exams, the two flew straight to Hawaii, and Jiang Yi arranged for the hotel to pick them up.
“You booked a villa!” Yang Yunran exclaimed as he entered the room, eagerly changing into his swimsuit and diving into the pool, leaning against the edge and looking through the lush palm trees towards the white sandy beach and the clear blue sea.
For the first time, he was curious about Jiang Yi’s income. This didn’t seem like the lifestyle of a poor person, and Jiang Yi had always been generous with him, never letting him pay the bill.
“Jiang Yi, do you earn a lot from your lab?” Yang Yunran asked.
Jiang Yi, wearing sunglasses and leaning back in a beach chair with his long legs crossed, replied, “It’s decent. The university gives me a monthly stipend of $8,000. The main income comes from domestic research patent fees. It’s not as much as your family’s, but enough to support you.”
Yang Yunran figured that Jiang Yi’s annual income was probably around a million dollars, which was actually quite good.
Though it couldn’t compare to being a star.
In the entertainment industry, even unheard-of D-list celebrities could easily earn that much.
“Brother, you’re amazing, earning so much!” Yang Yunran praised.
Of course, it still couldn’t compare to his own wealth! Nevertheless, Yang Yunran still admired him. While he had concerns about the future, it didn’t stop him from dreaming and eagerly looking forward to it, saying, “When we get older, can we buy an island? A private island, retire there.”
“Sure,” Jiang Yi replied without hesitation, asking him, “How much does an island cost?”
Yang Yunran: “One hundred million dollars? Approximately? Just my guess.”
Jiang Yi said, “Okay.”
Making this money wasn’t difficult; Yang Yunran wanted it, planning to return to his country, where he could earn more as the head of his own laboratory. It wasn’t a difficult task.
Because he wasn’t one to flaunt his abilities, the two of them only dreamed of their future life on this topic.
Next, Yang Yunran emerged from the pool, showered in the bathroom, and stood in the room wrapped in a towel for him to come over.
Jiang Yi walked over and asked what was wrong. Yang Yunran silently reached out and hugged him, tilting his head up to kiss him, still with water droplets lingering on him, his fingers warm.
Jiang Yi’s throat moved as he lowered his head to respond, saying softly, “Now? I thought it would be later.”
“It’s almost evening… The sun has set, Jiang Yi.” Yang Yunran half-opened his eyes to look at his dark pupils, moving to undo his shirt buttons. “You will, won’t you?”
“Mm.” Jiang Yi tossed his beach pants aside and sat on the sofa, holding him in his arms. Their clothes were scattered messily on the floor, the prolonged kiss causing Yang Yunran’s tongue to tingle, saliva uncontrollably flowing down to his chin.
The sunset sank to the edge of the sea, and the night turned deep blue.
Due to size issues, it was still Yang Yunran’s first time, and Jiang Yi had only ten minutes.
Yang Yunran was momentarily unable to move and whimpered, saying, “Forget it, it’s too painful!”
“We won’t do it then. If you’re afraid of pain, we’ll take it slow,” Jiang Yi got up and put on a bathrobe, taking out the ointment he had prepared in advance from the suitcase.
Jiang Yi had done a lot of homework in advance and knew everything. He came over with the ointment and had Yang Yunran lie down. “Let me see.”
Yang Yunran was very shy and refused to let him see under such bright lights. Talking big was one thing, but when it came to practice, it was another. He whispered, “It’s okay…”
“But you said it hurts.”
Yang Yunran pulled the blanket over himself, “Yeah, but it’s only a few minutes, I’m fine…”
Jiang Yi’s face darkened.
He didn’t say anything else.
Yang Yunran didn’t enjoy himself, and didn’t dare to try again. He just pulled him down, his eyes with tears, “Brother, can you give me your hand?”
Jiang Yi was again touched by him. He hugged Yang Yunran from behind and helped him, and Yang Yunran suddenly felt the heat against his back, curling up and feeling sorry, saying, “It’s not good to be too big.”
Jiang Yi was also helpless, so he tried to take care of him as much as possible.
In the end, the two embraced each other, without speaking, just silently kissing, lips and tongues intertwining, sucking the saliva from each other’s mouths.
Jiang Yi reached an unprecedented satisfaction and happiness, trying emotions he had never experienced before. In the hotel on the beach of Hawaii, he heard the sound of the tide rising outside the window, and turned off the light to awkwardly explore the body and soul of another person.
For Jiang Yi, it was completely the first time in his life.
And from falling in love to now, it was only three months—
In his eyes, this love was unbelievably fast and deep, with absolutely no possibility of separation.
Because Yang Yunran seemed completely unable to live without him, he would look for him every day when he got up from bed.
Since Jiang Yi had a thrifty nature, although he booked a luxury hotel, it was the cheapest basic room on the hotel’s beach, only inside and outside two rooms, including an outdoor swimming pool, and Yang Yunran quickly found him.
Jiang Yi was taking a shower.
The shower room was open-air, with bubbles on his head, and he turned sideways to see Yang Yunran taking off his bathrobe and walking over, saying, “Let’s shower together.”
On that day, they were at Deberman University campus, leaving many photographic impressions. Yang Yunran arranged for people to help him and Jiang Yi take photos together in various places. However, Jimmy, the troublemaker, upon seeing Jiang Yi taking photos for Yang Yunran, shouted for a group of people to come with water guns and doused him.
The scene instantly descended into chaos. Professors came to intervene but were also drenched, standing there like drenched chickens with glasses, angrily shouting, “Jimmy! You! Get over here!”
Students from the photography department rushed over with cameras to record the scene.
In a corner of the video, Yang Yunran was wiping the water droplets off Jiang Yi, saying, “They are so bad, always playing tricks on you.”
In Jiang Yi’s mind, numerous revenge plans brewed, ones Yang Yunran wouldn’t find out about, like infiltrating the utilities office to cut off Jimmy’s electricity and water.
He calmly replied, “It’s okay.”
Yang Yunran bent down slightly to wipe his pants, saying, “Should we change clothes? You’re too conspicuous like this.”
Jiang Yi still said, “It’s okay, just like your professors.”
The professor was now surrounded by students, watching the scene unfold.
The sunlight glinted off the water droplets on Jiang Yi’s eyebrows and eyelashes, creating a sparkling halo like diamonds.
Yang Yunran looked up at his face and thought, he would never forget this day.
After the warm uproar ended, Yang Yunran prepared to return home.
Yang Liming’s chief assistant called him, asking when he would be ready to depart.
Yang Yunran replied, “It’ll be a little later. I need to arrange for my dog to be transported. It’s its first time flying, and I’m a bit worried.”
The assistant understood and said, “Alright, I’ll arrange it for you.”
Soon after, Yang Liming called, saying, “Yang Yang, returning home? I’ll arrange for the family plane to come for you.”
“Family plane… what do you mean?” Yang Yunran took a moment to understand.
Dad said, “The plane is at home. When are you planning to return? I’ll arrange for it to land at Boston Airport a day early. You can bring the dog on board. Isn’t it troublesome to handle pet transport? If you have the time, a private plane can just take you straight home.”
Yang Yunran initially wanted to refuse. This wasn’t his biological father, and he didn’t want to take advantage…
But it was about his dog…
Seeing those dogs packed into airline crates, unable to eat, drink, or relieve themselves for over ten hours, filled him with dread. His dog, who needed to be walked three times a day, how could it endure?
If only he could afford to buy his own private plane, then he could travel the world with Harry!
But that seemed to cost a billion.
Yang Yunran sighed. To afford that, he’d have to become a huge star, even selling toilet paper if he couldn’t make it as an internet singer.
In the end, Yang Yunran chose the family’s private plane. Though he couldn’t afford to buy it, he could manage the fuel costs.
Jiang Yi would return a few days later. There were his research results to take away from the lab and many agreements to sign.
Meanwhile, Zhao Youmo had returned half a month earlier. Upon landing, he reported to the HR department and was assigned an employee apartment by the company.
Speaking of which, he and Yang Yunran’s family seemed to have an inexplicable connection. Back in middle school, due to outstanding performance, he was recruited to a prestigious private school, supported by Yang Yunran’s father’s Hanjiang Foundation. Now 22 years old, Zhao Youmo has joined the Hanjiang Group.
Fate had brought him to this point. After a busy period, Zhao Youmo freed up half a day and found Professor Chen.
It was Professor Chen who had contacted him first, saying, “Little Zhao, are you returning to China? I hope you can come by later so we can do another sample extraction.”
Zhao Youmo replied, “Didn’t I already send it to you last time? Professor, why again?”
Professor Chen vaguely explained a bunch of technical terms, then said, “For technical reasons, we need to extract things like your scalp flakes… Rest assured, our current technology has helped many abducted children find their biological parents.”
The comparison results were actually out long ago. The main reason Professor Chen was not at ease was that he planned to personally pluck some hair to double-check.
With Yang Yunran having graduated… He had mentioned in a recent phone call that he was vacationing in Hawaii. After his vacation and attending the graduation ceremony, he would return immediately.
Upon hearing his nephew’s voice over the phone, which was unusually hoarse and tinged with tears, Professor Chen thought he might be ill, making him even more hesitant. He imagined the look of endless despair he might have when the truth came out.
But he had hidden it for three months already. It was truly unfair to everyone.
After much consideration, Professor Chen called his sister Chen Fangru.
Chen Fangru said, “Are you talking about Yang Yang? He’s coming back the day after tomorrow. Old Yang has already arranged for the plane to fly straight to Daxing, and I need to go pick him up. This kid hasn’t been home for nearly half a year, and he actually managed to get his graduation certificate smoothly.”
Professor Chen took a deep breath and said heavily, “I’ll come over tomorrow. There’s something I need to tell you.”
