Checking if you’ve blocked me. (1)
When those two words fell, Yue Qianling had never stared so intently into someone’s eyes.
She wanted to take a deep breath, but she felt like the air was thin. Her ears were filled with the sound of her own heavy breathing, and only her heartbeat was restrained in a vacuum-like environment.
She stared at him intently, breaking a second into ten parts, not missing any change in his expression.
The next second.
The shifting neon lights flashed across their faces, and Yue Qianling clearly saw Gu Xun’s eyes freeze.
After a moment, a glint flashed in his eyes, and the expression on his face relaxed to a visible degree.
He lowered his eyes, and when he looked at Yue Qianling again, his eyes shed all emotions, and he just stared intently into her eyes.
“En, it’s me.”
???
Really???
Yue Qianling’s gaze lost focus in an instant but unconsciously refocused on Gu Xun’s face.
As if not recognizing this person, she looked again and again but still couldn’t connect the two individuals.
Gu Xun???
Lin Xun???
They really are the same person???
How is this possible?
But it’s true.
He admitted it with his own mouth.
Yue Qianling had never experienced such an emotional shock, feeling as if the oxygen had been completely sucked away from her, and even the evening breeze had stopped moving.
Her lips moved slightly, she breathed heavily, and her heartbeat was deafening.
In her chest, a rush of emotions surged like a raging torrent, rocks colliding chaotically, and a stream of air rushing straight to her forehead.
The two of them looked at each other in silence.
Yue Qianling didn’t know what expression she had at the moment, she only felt that her chest was about to explode, and her heart might jump out the next second.
How could this be possible!
How could they be the same person!
When she had a moment to come to her senses, she found herself staring intently into Gu Xun’s eyes, her chest suddenly tightened, and her first reaction was to run.
In the next second, she forcefully shook off Gu Xun’s hand and ran.
But she forgot that she was standing by a tree. As she turned and rushed forward, with a “thud”, her forehead hit the tree trunk.
When Yue Qianling realized it, it was already too late to stop.
However, the expected pain did not come.
The moment Yue Qianling turned around Gu Xun immediately reached out to cover her forehead.
“……”
Yue Qianling opened her eyes and saw the tree trunk, but her forehead was firmly against Gu Xun’s warm palm.
She was even angrier.
She had never been so angry in her life!
She took a step back abruptly, waved away Gu Xun’s hand, and walked to the other side.
“Yue—”
“Shut up!”
Yue Qianling’s steps became bigger and bigger, like she was venting something, and she even started to trot.
Her mind was a mess, and she completely lost the ability to think, with only her muscles keeping her moving forward.
She didn’t know how far she had walked until she finally stopped at the traffic light.
However, the heaving of her chest became even more intense, as if something was about to burst out the next second.
Cars sped past one after another, and their taillights flashing non-stop, dazzling Yue Qianling’s eyes.
She kept adjusting her breathing, but she still couldn’t calm the buzzing sound in her head.
Gu Xun is Lin Xun.
And his appearance today also proved that he knew who she was.
He knew everything!
The green light came on, and the pedestrians on both sides of the road all walked towards the crosswalk.
Yue Qianling didn’t move, and she felt that the person behind her didn’t move either.
Although she never looked back, she knew that Gu Xun had been following her.
Suddenly, a surge of anger rushed to her head.
As if she were venting, Yue Qianling grabbed her two-palm-sized chain bag and turned around to randomly hit Gu Xun.
Gu Xun was taken aback by Yue Qianling’s sudden behavior, but he didn’t dodge. He just stood there, letting her hit him.
The girl’s strength wasn’t that great, and her hands seemed to be trembling a little. She didn’t use much force at all, hitting him neither lightly nor heavily.
He only lowered his head, his eyes fixed on Yue Qianling whose cheeks were flushed due to emotional excitement, and he felt a pinch in his heart.
Passersby kept turning their heads to look at them, some curious, some just smiled knowingly.
“Oh, young couples these days are becoming more and more open in their quarrel.”
Yue Qianling didn’t notice the gazes of the passersby at all.
After a long time, she realized that Gu Xun didn’t resist her violence at all. He just stood there with one hand in his pocket, not dodging even for a bit.
She suddenly felt like she was punching cotton, and she became even angrier.
She couldn’t catch her breath, panting and glaring at him. Then, she thought of using her bag to hit him hard one last time. However, she didn’t control her strength well this time, and the metal lock on the bag directly scraped across Gu Xun’s jaw.
With a sudden sound, Yue Qianling realized what had happened, and her hands suddenly froze.
Gu Xun finally tilted his head slightly this time, reaching out to touch his jaw.
He opened his palm and saw a faint trace of blood, his eyes moved slightly.
He raised his eyes and looked down at Yue Qianling again.
Under his gaze, Yue Qianling stared at the bloodstain on his jaw and became completely stunned.
Her throat itched, and she wanted to say something, but she couldn’t open her mouth.
“Hit me.”
Gu Xun calmly lowered his hand, not looking angry at all. He just looked at her deeply, “When you’re done hitting me, can I have a chance to talk to you?”
Yue Qianling slowly lowered her hand holding the bag, unable to come back to her senses for a long time.
She looked at the wound on his jaw, suddenly feeling at a loss.
The shrill sound of honking in her ears formed a sharp contrast to his low and gentle voice.
She felt like… he was apologizing.
No, that feeling… it was more like he was coaxing her.
Coax……
This word popped out of nowhere, making Yue Qianling’s heart even more flustered.
Her heart trembled, and she didn’t say anything. She continued to walk ahead.
Gu Xun suddenly grabbed her.
“Red light! Are you trying to get yourself killed?”
A car sped past in front of her, startling Yue Qianling, and she was pulled back by Gu Xun.
The physical contact at this moment made Yue Qianling’s mind more and more cloudy. She kept staring at Gu Xun’s hand that was pulling hers.
His fingers, his knuckles, and the bulging veins on the back of his hand, all seemed so unreal.
Yue Qianling had never been so confused. Before she knew it, Gu Xun had pulled her to an open-air parking lot on the side.
It wasn’t until she stood in front of the car door that she came back to her senses.
She subconsciously wanted to leave again, but Gu Xun had already opened the passenger’s door and stuffed her inside.
“You—”
It wasn’t until the car door was closed that Yue Qianling felt a bit tired and had no strength to struggle anymore.
How could such a strange thing happen in this world?!
