Doomsday Stockpiling: I Established a Global Survivor Base
Doomsday Stockpiling: I Established a Global Survivor Base Chapter 18 – Going Abroad

This was a direct flight to the other side of the Earth.

Su You chatted in the group for a while, then dozed off to adjust to the time difference. Time on the plane passed quickly.

Just before landing, she received a message from Amber on her phone.

“Yo-jie, are you almost here? I’m parking, I’ll wait for you at the arrival gate.”

Attached was a photo.

In the dim parking garage, a tall boy with slightly curly hair leaned lazily against an off-road vehicle. He wore oversized sunglasses, grinning wide to show white teeth while flashing a V-sign at the camera.

He was dressed in a black leather jacket with a heavy-metal vibe, silver chains, and matching metallic earrings.

He looked flamboyant and a bit wild.

Su You: …
Exactly like her impression of Amber—an arrogant, childish brat.

Su You: “Almost there.”

Then the broadcast announcement sounded on the plane, reminding passengers to gather their belongings and prepare to disembark.

Three minutes later, at the arrival gate—

Amber chewed gum absentmindedly, fiddling with a Rubik’s cube in his hands. Every now and then, he looked up at the security exit.

He had never seen Su You in person before and was a little excited, curious about what the “Yo-jie” he had chatted with for so long actually looked like.

Soon, a girl with a long black ponytail and a backpack stopped in front of him.

“Amber?” Her tone was noticeably cool.

She wore a long trench coat and a black mask covering half her face, leaving only a pair of calm, narrow black eyes visible.

No unnecessary accessories—clean, sharp, and highly capable.

Amber also noticed a small mole under the corner of her left eye.

He almost whistled, but scratched his head and grinned instead. “Hey, Yo-jie, that’s me!”

“Mm, sorry to keep you waiting.”

Su You looked at the boy who seemed careless and cocky, but she was already sizing him up.

From her online interactions, Amber had assumed she was just an ordinary office-worker type. He hadn’t expected the sharp, commanding aura she carried—like a hidden boss from a spy thriller, or someone who had fought her way through blood and corpses.

Amber didn’t know it yet, but he had guessed half right.

Su You smoothly pulled open the car door and sat in the passenger seat.

“Let’s go. Drop me off at the hotel first. Did you read the stuff I sent you?”

Amber snapped out of it, climbed in, and started the engine. “Yeah, yeah, I looked at it.”

He recalled the files Su You had sent earlier—information on firearms, petroleum, and seeds.

Confused, he asked: “Yo-jie, why’d you send me that? Some kind of game guide update?”

As the vehicle sped down the highway, Su You glanced at the foreign scenery for the first time, but her gaze soon returned to Amber.

“What do you think?”

Amber chuckled while driving. “You’re testing me? Let me guess—you’re actually planning to buy all that stuff as props? That’s some seriously hardcore roleplay.”

Su You said, “That’s right. Exactly what you’re thinking.”

Amber’s eyes widened. He almost slammed the brakes. “What the—Yo-jie, that’s way too much! Guns? Real-life apocalypse survival stockpiling?!”

Su You chuckled. “You really think this is just a game of make-believe? Amber, you’re a smart kid. Getting hold of these things shouldn’t be hard for you.”

She wasn’t planning on hiding her intentions for long.

Amber’s pupils shrank. He slowly pulled the car over.

Gripping the steering wheel, he turned to her, suddenly serious. “Yo-jie, that joke’s too much. Even if you’re rich, you can’t just burn money like that. Building an arsenal? That’s insanely expensive. It’s not like the end of the world is actually coming…”

His voice trailed off. Thinking about the website Su You had asked him to build, his eyes flashed with shock. “Wait—you’re not joking, are you?”

Su You gave him a look, gesturing for him to drive again, before saying, “Do I look like I’m joking? Amber, this is the real reason I came abroad to meet you.”

Amber’s background was complicated. In her previous life, just one satellite phone call from him had pointed her to a safe shelter and helped her escape danger.

That’s why Su You hadn’t planned to keep him in the dark this time.

Amber was stunned by her bluntness. “Yo-jie, people say stuff like this all the time, but it never actually happens. Remember the 2012 doomsday predictions? The hype was global—people partied like it was their last night alive. But in the end, it was just nonsense.”

His tone grew serious. “This kind of thing needs scientific evidence.”

Su You smirked, raised her hand, and snapped her fingers. “Evidence.”

The words had barely left her mouth when Amber felt a jolt inside. The world in front of the SUV suddenly shifted.

The wide asphalt road vanished, replaced by boundless darkness.

Only Amber’s ragged breathing and the low rumble of the engine remained.

He stomped the brakes, staring in shock. “Wh-what the hell?!”

Before he could finish, a mechanical voice rang in his ears:

【Welcome, ID No.0001. Name: Amber. Male. Age: 18. Trust level: Extremely high. You are granted early entry to the Apocalypse Survivor Base.】

【The apocalypse has not yet arrived. Countdown: 24 days, 13 hours, 19 minutes, 22 seconds. Please cherish every second of life and prepare for the end.】

【Happy stockpiling!】

Amber’s mind exploded—WTF WTF WTF.

His eyes went wide, hands and feet flailing uselessly.

It took him a long time to process what had just happened.

“Holy shit, Yo-jie, did you hear that? A voice was talking to me!”

He turned, only to see Su You calm and composed, nothing like someone experiencing this for the first time.

That’s when he realized—it was all connected to her.

Apocalypse base. End of the world. Weapons. And when she said “evidence,” their surroundings had changed.

Forcing himself to calm down, Amber blinked. “Yo-jie, where are we? What the hell just happened?”

Su You smiled faintly. “That’s your evidence.”

“Get ready—we’re going back out.”

This was a secluded road, so almost no one had noticed what had happened here.

In the next instant, the SUV abruptly reappeared on the highway. Amber nearly had another heart attack.

“Holy shit! Yo-jie, that was you? That’s insane!”

Su You: “Now you understand why I came to see you. I wasn’t joking earlier. That was proof.”

Amber was moved, eyes welling up instantly. “Yo-jie, you’re amazing. I can’t believe you’d even share a secret like this with me.”

Su You tapped the steering wheel to remind him, “Keep driving. We’ll study this more once we get to the hotel.”
